No Vacancy
Written by: Stephanie Rose
What would it take to push you out of your comfort zone? To give you the comfort that you are seeking? To make you see that you have been missing so much? For Caterina Longo it was discovering her long time boyfriend with another woman, in their apartment, on her couch. Her only thought was to get away and calm down. With the following week already a planned holiday, she decided her holiday was starting that night and headed for Ocean Cove, New Jersey. What she hadn’t planned on was the man who opened her eyes.
Joe (Joseph) Hunter left the hustle and bustle of New York. The noise, the crowds and the feeling that he was a bit of a disappointment to his family, even though he knew they did love him. He’d been building up his restaurant, The Beach Pub for a few years. Everything was working well. He was making a profit and he loved what he did. He would have told you that his work kept him from having a life outside of work, that was until the night a beautiful woman, with sad eyes and when they talked it was like it went from night to day.
Author Stephanie Rose gives Caterina (Cat) and Joe everything they need to realize that for them love at first sight is a thing; but Caterina is about to end her relationship with her cheating ex and she has a plan for her life. She needs to really stop and think maybe her plan was not what “she needed” but what she thought she needed. Joe is in the same place when it comes to plans; but when talking lead to whispering, that lead to touching and kissing and a night that would never been forgotten.
The hot, steamy, combustible attraction wasn’t the only reason why they wanted it to work; they told each other how they felt about “life” but they also knew distance would be an issue. Can they make this work? Are they both willing to give this all a chance? No Vacancy was my first Stephanie Rose book. I enjoyed reading about their first glance attraction and how each character grew throughout the story.
Wow. So excited to read joes story. He was amazing. It was awesome to read Bella’s story then joes after the kick ass story that was their mom and dad. And how doesn’t hold back. When he wants something he goes for it all out. He is such a swoon worthy book boyfriend. Always taking care of her. He always strives to make her happy whether it’s feeding her, hanging out or all the steamy dirty moments. Loved Joe and Catarina. They were perfect for one another. Two people who never focused on anything but work found their other half in each other.
Sweet, sexy, steamy, and fun. I really enjoyed this book. The characters were fun and likable, the storyline moved quickly but not quick enough that it was missing anything, and the romance was steamy.
Joe had all the right moves to win Cat over. She appears in his restaurant late at night without a real plan and he instantly starts dreaming of the plans he could do to her. He was polite and sweet while also being sexy. He let her lead while giving her gentle pushes in the direction he wanted it to go. He had romance down to a key. Until her vacation was over, and she had to return home.
Never ever did I doubt that Joe and Cat belonged together. They did not just have attraction, they had love and respect. They also had friends and family cheering them on. It just took some time to figure out the logistics of how they could be together.
Stephanie Rose, the author, wrote a wonderful romance book. It has been a while since I read a book in one day and this book had me doing just that. I just could not put it down.
No Vacancy was a totally entertaining, sexy and sweet story. I loved the instant connection and heat between Catarina and Joe, their chemistry was off the charts. I loved them coming together, the hot and heartfelt moments, and the conflict involved. I totally enjoyed this!

After breaking up with her boyfriend, Caterina Longo decides to get away on vacation and go to the beach. Just some time away to think, until she meets the owner of a little beach restaurant named Joe Hunter and her time starts to look up. Can a fling end up being more? I really loved the characters and storyline. This is the first book I’ve read from this author and I definitely need to check out more. A feel good, summer romance that makes a great easy weekend read. Told in dual POV
This book was amazing!
I have only read one book by Stephanie Rose so far and I did enjoy it alot. So reading Cat and Joe‘s story has surprised me alot! I enjoyed the hell out of it.
Cat and Joe are super cute and perfect together. Joe 100% is the perfect bookboyfriend. Their story started out as a vacation fling but turned to so much more so fast!
The writing flowed really well and I got through the book rather quickly since Joe and Cat were pretty much addicting.
No Vacancy was an easy, low to no drama vacation romance that leaves you with a full heart and some amazing steam!
I cant wait to read more from this author!

No Vacancy is sweet story, mixed with the perfect about of heat and emotion. The story begins with Caterina walking in on her boyfriend cheating on her. She immediately flees her town to escape and get away from her cheating ex. She happens upon a motel and meets the owner of the bar across the street, Joe. The two have crazy, instant chemistry. Conversation flowed easily and they fall for each other quickly. Joe is confident and successful. He cannot resist his attraction to Caterina and how drawn he is to her. I fell hard for these characters immediately and couldn’t put this down until they got their HEA. Stephanie Rose’s words pack a punch. They are emotional, descriptive and so beautiful. I adored Joe’s best friend Dom and cannot wait to learn more about him in No Reservations.
Lets get lost together
“You were everything I didn’t know I was looking for. And I don’t think I can let you go.”
Holy moly! Joe may be my favorite hero by Stephanie Rose, he had me drooling since we first met him. I loved how he brought out the best in Catarina and vice versa. You will be rooting for the HEA with every thing thrown their way!

No Vacancy is a second generation spin-off from Stephanie Rose’s Second Chances series. I’m on the fence as to how I feel about second generation books, mostly because I don’t want to think of the characters I’ve loved from the previous books as old! In saying that, my beloved Owen, (and Bella, Lucas, and Sam), only appeared briefly here so it didn’t hit me too terribly much that he was a grown man in his 40s- he was still, and always will be, sweet OT to me! And honestly, it’s always nice to revisit alpha daddy Lucas. But don’t think you have to read any books before this, No Vacancy can truly be read as a standalone.
Ok, last thing I will say in reference to the “first generation” books- Joe more than outdid his dad when it came to the dirty talk! He definitely earned his Dirty Joe moniker readers have given him, that is for sure.
I think this is probably the sexiest book Ms. Rose has written so far- see Dirty Joe reference above. Also the first when it comes to insta-lust/love.
The minute Joe sets eyes on Caterina he is done for, D.O.N.E. It was only meant to be an easy summer fling, not something that would turn both their worlds upside down. But that’s exactly what happened to Joe and Caterina- a 2 week summer romance ended up leading to more than either of them could have imagined.
No Vacancy was an easy, angst-free, drama-free read. Even before their two weeks together were up, Joe and Caterina knew they didn’t want things to end. Because they lived 3 hours apart, and both had full-time jobs keeping them busy, there was a little back and forth as they tried to figure out how to keep their relationship going. But in the end they both knew what they wanted and did what was needed to make it work.
This is the first book I’ve listened to from both the narrators, David Vaughn and Rita Fleur. While I enjoyed their performances, I thought Mr. Vaughn sounded, to me, just a little older than what I would have liked for Joe’s character. He did bring a lot of life and feeling to his portrayal of Joe, though, and I liked his female voices. Ms. Fleur has a very nice voice and I think she did a good job with her portrayal of Caterina- you could feel Caterina’s vulnerability coming through, and her strength as the story progressed. She has a voice that I think would lend itself well to some younger female characters.
I will definitely be looking into other books narrated by both Mr. Vaughn and Ms. Fleur.

I really enjoyed this book. Caterina found her boyfriend cheating on her so she goes to the shore to getaway. Her ex told her a bunch of mean things that have her second guessing herself. She meets Joe and is instantly attracted to him. Joe was such a good man and his dirty mouth had me fanning myself. I loved their chemistry and flew through the pages. I also liked Joe being a few years younger than her. This was a great read with amazing characters. I can’t wait to read more from this author.
No Vacancy by Stephanie Rose was a sweet romance about second chances where you least expect it. After walking in on her cheating ex, she decides to go on a vacation. She meets Joe across from her hotel and they hit it off. What should have been a one-night stand suddenly becomes so much more. I loved watching their relationship develop and their witty banter. Joe was just what she needed and never knew. Can they make it work? Such a charming read!
Read and reviewed for Sultry Sirens Book Blog.
Happy reading!
When Catarina walks into her apartment and catches her boyfriend in a compromising position, so she takes off on vacation earlier than planned. Joe is a business owner and from the moment he meets Catarina the chemistry is sizzling. This is a beautifully written tale which is filled with a dirty talking alpha, witty banter, and is an all-round engaging and addictive page turner. I love this talented author’s work a I look forward to reading more of her work. I highly recommend this story for all readers.
Caterina and Joe’s story really blew me away. This story starts with a bang and then the story really starts. Caterina has the same self doubts as many women do. Joe had his issues as well with self doubt and whether he was worth loving. This story takes two people who are scared of taking that chance and whether they deserve it. I loved it and I highly recommend this book and author. I can’t wait to read Dominic’s story next.
What a great story! 5 stars for this one!
We start off meeting Caterina, who left her apartment early to head for vacation with her friends early to get away from her boyfriend. When she arrives at the hotel and gets settled in her room, she heads across the street to a bar in hopes she can get something to eat. There she’s instantly attracted to Joe, and wow, can love at first sight really exist? Joe owns the bar, and he’s instantly taken with Caterina, he too feels the connection, but can he fit her into his life?
Read along and find out, I absolutely loved this story! Grab it asap!

This is the first book that I’ve read by this author and I didn’t know what to expect. This book is a real vacation romance read and a beautiful love story that is also sizzlingly good. The cover and title really intrigued me too and I couldn’t wait to start reading this book.
Caterina or Cat is a very very hard-working woman that sometimes needs to believe in herself, she is also very independent but she has had things pretty tough in the men department and when she arrives home from work early to find her boyfriend literally cheating on her on her new couch right
in front of her and she bolts. She feels humiliated and upset and decided to start her vacation early and drives the 3 hour drive.
Joe is the man that Cat meets late at night when she goes looking for something to eat. Joe is the very sexy, hot owner of the Beach Pub. He is a very sweet caring man that she finds is also great at listening and yep, talking dirty.
These two people fall head over heels for each other fast very fast, but is love alone enough?
( NO SPOILERS )
I absolutely love these characters they are very relatable and you can really connected to them as the reader and I felt myself really rooting for them both, yeah they fell hard but when its right its right, and when its meant to be it will. They have great chemistry together and have a real insta love connection. They go through some ups and downs and Cat feels that they have No Vacancy in their lives and I was screaming at my kindle ‘NOOO’ don’t lose him. LOL!
This author has written a great romance story and I couldn’t get enough of these two characters and I cant wait to see what this author writes in the future.
I highly recommend this book to everyone to read, its awesome.
This book is out now.
Unfortunately, I did not enjoy the narrators. The story was pretty good but not my favorite by this author. Just didn’t click with me.
Their instant attraction turned into a holiday romance. Can they make long distance work. It seems impossible and many obstacles are thrown in the way. But holding on did pay off for their own HEA.
The first half of the book I enjoyed but after the holiday ended I struggled to stay engaged and didn’t feel their struggle, pain. It just disconnected for me. I love the author so I’ll keep reading her books
No Vacancy
By: Stephanie Rose
Narrated by: David Vaughn, Rita Fleur
I don’t know how she does it, but every time I listen to a book by Stephanie Rose, it goes in my top 10 listens of the year. She has a way of creating a story that is romantic, relatable and oh, so delicious! Meet Caterina, good girl that catches her boyfriend cheating. She goes to meet her girlfriends for a weekend away a couple of days early, and meets Joe. And our romance begins. I love both of these characters for so many reasons. Cat is so easy to relate to. Hard working, wanting to get ahead and not realizing life is passing her by. Then there is Joe, the ultimate boyfriend, easy going, good looking, romantic, he is impossible not to love. Together they are amazing. It’s a story of second chances at love and finding that true soulmate. You will root for this couple in every instance, and your heart will be swooning. It’s a feel good romance that will stick with you. Easily hit’s the top for me!
Now let’s discuss the narration! Both David Vaughn and Rita Fleur are new to me narrators, but better casting could not have been made. Vaughn nails Joe. He has that bedroom voice that makes your heart sing with the dirty talk, and has a charming pull when just talking to Cat. Cat needs a narrator that has a lot of inflection, as she is much more emotionally charged and Fleur is perfect. She uses her voice, letting us know with each inflection exactly what Cat is feeling. This team is amazing and truly brought No Vacancy to life. I love it!

This was the first book I read by Stephanie Rose. I won it in an author group. I’m so glad I did. This was the sweetest and sexiest book. It was all I have ever wanted in life. To feel that deep connection with someone. Their chance meeting was cute. Their chemistry was written very well. I loved the whole concept. It wasn’t the most original story line but the characters and writing kept this book going.
The only complaint I have is the use of baby. Anyone who knows me, knows that I can’t stand when characters use the endearment “baby”. But it isn’t used horribly in this book. I still give this book 5 stars.
No Vacancy
By Stephanie Rose
I am voluntarily reviewing this ARC.
One of the things that I love about Stephanie Rose style of writing is the ability she has to embrace you from the first page. This story begins as Caterina flees her apartment after walking in our her boyfriend, and his guest. I love that I just became engulfed in the story second one, and I was cheering her on as she left the now ex-boyfriend.
Caterina happens into a restaurant at the Jersey shore, where she meets Joe. The attraction is instant. They spend the evening talking and can’t deny the chemistry.
Contrary to both of their dating habits, they end up spending the night together, when both of them realize, this attraction they have for one another is an insatiable thirst. The problem is they live and work three hours away from eachother, and she just came out of a terrible relationship.
I love this whole story. I love that this story takes place on the east coast, where I live, so I feel so completely at home in all of this book.
Joe is what book boyfriends are made from, and the steamy scenes are so so good! No Vacancy is a total hit not to be missed.
Five stars
What a great romance of 2 people that weren’t looking for love in the first place. ‘Caterina Longo and Joe Hunter are 2 individuals that are very goal oriented and wants to make a success of themselves. Caterina works too much and starts to figure out what is important in life after walking in on her boyfriend cheating on her in their apartment.
Joe Hunter is a restaurant owner who feels that he needs to make it a success so that his father doesn’t continue to think that he is not going to make it. Some of this Joe realizes is all in his head but it’s how he feels. When Caterina walks into Joe’s restaurant late one night, the 2 feels an attraction that they can’t explain. Joe goes out of his way to spend time with Caterina by making her dinner even though his restaurant had stop service already. The 2 of them are just meant to be but each of them have to figure out if they will be able to deal with a long distance relationship once Caterina’s vacation week is over.
Caterina is insecure and doesn’t think that a long distance relationship will work but she promises Joe to give it a chance. But things keep preventing the 2 of them from seeing each other and Caterina’s gets scare and not sure she can take the risk but Joe, her friends, and her mom convinces her that she should take a chance if it could make her happy.
Joe also has to work through his issues and even though he loves Caterina, he also wants her to be happy and if that means that they break up, then he will do it but his friend and father convinces he to win Caterina back because he knows that she is the one.
It is such a great story about 2 determined individuals who realizes that there are more important things in live than making a professional success of themselves. Joe is such sweet and se
