Being the daughter of world-renowned archaeologists, it’s in Emmy’s blood to want entry into the many off-limits historical places around the United States. Having graduated with her degrees in history and archaeology, you’d think she could just waltz right in wherever she wanted, right?Wrong.Dean Savageman, host of The Adventure Channel’s No Trespassing, is the rock star of documentaries, and is … documentaries, and is always called first to explore the most forgotten, dangerous, and inaccessible places around the country. No one gets dibs before him—certainly not the huffy wanna-be archeologist who keeps showing up at the most obscure undocumented locations, no matter how beautiful she is.
After years of run-ins—and unwanted fantasies—with her self-proclaimed mortal enemy and having given up on gaining entry to one of her dream sites the legal way, Emmy sneaks into the NOLA Catacombs, having no idea Dean is in their depths.
What happens when these two get trapped together, alone, twenty-five feet under the streets of New Orleans is one for the history books, or at least an episode of… No Trespassing.

Seriously my favourite of Kayla’s books! Definitely a must-read
I have to be honest this is the first time that I have read any of KD Robichaux’s work and I must say omg she didn’t disappointed me at all, her writing style is utterly fantastic. I was sitting on the edge of my seat the whole time while I was reading Emmy and Dean’s story. I just couldn’t put the book down it was so good and by the time I had finished I felt like I had just ran a marathon from all the emotions I had felt while reading No Trespassing. I will definitely be reading more of her books in the future because I love her extraordinary story weaving skills. If you haven’t read any of KD’s work I highly recommend that you do because I guarantee you’ll fall in love with her writing style and her personality that shows in her work just like I did.
My first book from K.D. and I really enjoyed it. Dean is the star of the the Adventure Channels hit show and gets to explore all the places Emmy dreams of exploring and they get trapped together after a cave in at the catacombs in New Orleans. This starts off as an enemies to lovers but quickly turns to insta love as they explore the catacombs looking for away out. Emmy and Deans story is sweet and steamy. The mystery and adventure throughout the book kept me interested and intrigued. Would definitely recommend this book.
I’ve got to say this book grabbed me. I read it straight through in one sitting. It was a exciting and steamy adventure. Dean’s kisses (and more) were a sensual masterpiece. Loved it!
A-M-A-Z-I-N-G
After just finishing KD Robichaux’s Bloggers diaries trilogy, I had to read more. I liked her writing style and I wanted to see what she could do out with her real life story…anyway, this book is amazing. I will admit at the begin, I hated Emmy. She was this moaning, nag that I thought would get on my nerves, but the moment she realised she was going into those catacombs with Dean, the whole story took a turn. I didn’t want to put it down last night, but at 1.15am, I needed to stop. I was so glad I could pick it up today, just to finish it.
I have never read a story like this one. When you think of Egypt and history, you don’t think you’re going to read a romance novel and bloody enjoy it. No, I never imagined that. However, this has to be one of my all time favourite reads. It was fun, light and easy reading. The characters were believable. The story flowed well. I haven’t got a negative thing to say.
I can’t wait to read more by KD Robichaux.
4.5 Cranky Stars
New Orleans is a city steeped in legends and lore a city so rich with history not even a great fire or heck even a great hurricane can keep the citizens down for long. New Orleans natives know all about their fair city and all it has to offer and that’s why it’s an archeologist dream because so much of it may be lore or some of it may be true. It’s in the secret catacombs where Emmy meets her self-proclaimed worst enemy Dean Savageman.
Emmy is the daughter of two very famous archeologists. She prefers to hide in the dank caves and pyramids making the next discovery for her blog because you see Emmy is a serious introvert and has a fear of crowds. When she is once again told no in her city nonetheless, she drowns her sorrows in tequila. We all know what happens when we sling back that much tequila. You make crazy spur of the moment decisions and for Emmy that might make her do something that is totally out of character for her. She finds herself in the secret catacombs basking in being the first one there when disaster ensues. Dean swoops in to save the day. He has seen glimpses of Emmy at his other sites, but he assumed she was a ghost he picked up so when he looks down to see the girl who is not a ghost in his arms, he knows he has found the one. All the highs of history making finds and having his own tv show Dean has a good life but a life in the spotlight that won’t sit well with Emmy. While in the catacombs they discover each other and the history of Nola.
This was my first KD Robicheaux book and it won’t be my last. She gave me adventure, love and fan yourself sexy times. Seriously I didn’t think anyone reciting history facts like the sexy beast Dean is would be a turn on, but he makes it easy. Emmy alone is a character. She is so innocent in a lot of ways but whip smart she truly was unique. I really love those adventure shows on tv like Expedition Unknown and of course I do love a good museum, so I really enjoyed this book. If you love these things and the city of Nola, then this is the book for you.
This makes my Goonies loving heart soar with this epic tale of treasure hunting and romance! Such a fun read, full of information and I love how the quirky girl gets the hot man! Hilarious, hot, and yet it still had all the feels that I love to read. Highly recommended!
When I started it I struggled with the first 10% because they were kind of talking about History of places and I just didn’t find that interesting, but that being said, as soon as Emmy and Dean began to search the Catacombs it became interesting and I became very interested in the actual plot of the story. But just listening to them talk about it was very boring but I loved the action when they did begin to search I did love it.
Emmy’s hatred for Dean before she met him I thought was hilarious and when she does finally meet him she finds it hard to get a good reason for hating him and learns that he is totally different to what she expected. I loved her personality and the fact when she was drunk she decided to do something illegal to get into a site before Dean could put it all over his show. She is very shy and has social anxiety and within the book, it didn’t just disappear it was a constant reminder and we learn that is the reason she stays away from the limelight.
Dean, I loved him. I thought he was so great and even though Emmy had this expectation of him he tries to prove her wrong. I also loved his backstory and how he grew up in care yet he still managed to see real love with two people he sort of managed to make a bond with. Dean was so sweet and I loved when he teased Emmy but was also so willing to help her and then he refused to take credit for what they found whilst they were down in the catacombs. I also loved that they both had the same tattoo it was like fate.
The story was very insta lovey but I really didn’t mind, sometimes insta love is good and I really liked it. Although it was insta love you see these two characters making so many connections and they did instantly connect and I loved that. I loved the story and for once I didn’t mind it.
Erin is an amazing friend. I love her so much.
The sex is written great, K.D. Robichuax is really great at writing sex scenes that aren’t trashy and terrible! They are fantastic!
This is the first book that I’ve read by this author, but will not be the last! This is just about one of the sweetest books of insta-love I think I’ve ever read! He thinks she’s a figment of his imagination that he can’t stop thinking about. She thinks he’s trying to ruin her life. And then they get trapped together, in one of the most awesome cities in the US, The Big Easy! And it’s based on one of my favorite tv shows! It doesn’t get better than that!
Dean is the host of an archeology based reality show, and Emmy is an archeology blogger trying to find her place, but it seems like Dean thwarts her every opportunity. Turns out, Dean is one of the sweetest, funniest guys that exists, and Emmy is super smart, but has a wicked temper! They are Amazing together and I lol’ed more than once while reading. A fabulous, feel good read!
KD Robichaux has written a brilliant book. Her writing style has plenty of wit and the heat factor is there. Just what you want in a contemporary romance. The dialogue was interesting and the story was educational and fun. I loved learning a little history with my sexy read. And it’s all Kayla’s fault I want a new tatoo now. Nice work on this one and I’ll be reading all the ones to come for sure. 5 stars all the way.
This story started off a little slow for me, but boy, am I glad I held on for the ride! There was plenty of humor and sexy scenes, but also a very interesting treasure hunt at the same time. I really enjoyed the archaeological bent, as that’s not something you typically find in a romance. I also enjoyed the little name cameos 😉 You do have to be willing to suspend reality a bit, that’s part of the fun! This was a fabulous 4 1/2 star read for me!
I know this is KD Robichaux’s first fictional novel. But I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Emmy is lovably nerdy, but finally stepped out of her comfort zone to try to beat that dastardly Dean (her words for him are even worse). Dean is wonderfully alpha, but yet romantically sweet (I wish my husband was more like Dean, but don’t tell him I said that). Loved this book from beginning to end. Didn’t want to put it down! Can’t wait to see what KD comes up with next!
Loved Emmy and Dean’s story! Emmy is so feisty and I love her quirky personality! Such an intriguing, fun, action packed story with a romantic twist!
What a great book!
Emmy and Dean were great! Dean is always getting into sites before Emmy. Emmy has been mad at Dean for 2 years and he has not known it. Dean has a tv show he is known for.
When Emmy sneaks into a site and gets them both trapped the sparks fly. They not only find a historical artifact but discover fate (or a ring) has brought them together.
Great story.
