A lone biker on the open road. A crew of murderous thugs in hot pursuit. The hunters become the hunted along a lonely stretch of desert asphalt. The notorious Rattlers motorcycle club didn’t have an official exit policy. So Austin Conrad wrote his own when he decided to get the hell out. Now he’s the target of the MC’s ruthless president, who’s hell-bent to silence Austin to keep his own dark … Austin to keep his own dark secrets buried. Set along the back roads of southern California’s Mojave Desert, the story comes to its thrilling climax among the abandoned ghost town of Amboy. When Austin is waylaid by a hit squad from a rogue faction of the club, they learn the hard way that there’s more to Austin than motorcycles and petty crime.
No Time To Bleed is the action-packed second installment in the highly acclaimed Austin Conrad series. Quick-paced story ramps up the action and tests the mettle of anti-hero Austin Conrad, while setting the stage for further adventure and mayhem.
Warning: contains violence, profanity and irreverence, in equal measure.

Austin Conrad is the new rebel on the block. Tough and compassionate he can be your best friend or your nightmare. If you wrong him watch out. No Time To Bleed is actually the second book in the series. Blood Brothers is the first. In No Time To Bleed the Rattlers Motorcyle club catches up to Austin and try him on for size. Well sorry, but you are to small for him. I can’t wait for the next book in the series, try it you will love it.
This book was a blast. I read the first book and just couldn’t wait to read this sequel. It continued the story of Austin Conrad. A total badass former Soldier and current biker.
He is a totally unpredictable character with depth of character.
His honor and loyalty to the club that he belong to for years was compromised by the dishonorable and slimy Behavior of the club president and his closest Buddies.
Now Austin’s on the Run the scumbags are chasing them and craziness ensues.
Don’t hesitate to buy this it’s an awesome awesome story
I thoroughly enjoyed the story of Austin Conrad and his troubles with his motorcycle club brothers. There is plenty of action, good character development with people you feel you could know and relate to (not that I know a lot of bikers, but you know what I mean). I only had 2 issues with the book-all the profanity, but I had been warned in the blurb so I can’t really complain about that and the fact that it just ended. Luckily I have already purchased No Time to Bleed, Book 2 or I would really be unhappy. I don’t like cliffhangers or stories that end without a resolution and you know there’s another book out there that you are going to have to buy or just deal with the fact that you will never know any more about the story. I really don’t like the gimmick but Mr Sharp writes so well I’m willing to forgive him. Pick up Blood Brothers, but be sure and pick up No Time to Bleed at the same time so you can fully enjoy the story.
Running From The Rattlers MC
This novella is a continuation of the Austin Conrad Series. This is actually a serial. Each book is its own episode, complete but leading into the next. Each story could stand alone, but there is no ‘final ending’ in this book. The story is violent and very graphic. Rated R for Violence and Language. I would call it a ‘guy’ story. The warfare comes across as real. I liked that our hero is a middle aged, less than prime, former special forces guy. There is none of the unbelievable action-hero stuff, just great training, practice and skill. The target audience should love this book and series. I was given this book and this is my honest review.
If you like action, revenge, a quick witted hero/bad guy, this is the book for you. When I say revenge I mean blood and gore so if you’re a wuss about that sort of thing this might not be for you. If you love semi-good triumph over evil, go for it. Loved the character but especially how the author gave you as much background as he did in a novella. It left me wanting more. I need to see this one through to the end.
No Time To Bleed is a brutal, bloody, crude novella that grabs you and holds on. Austin has quit a motorcycle gang, but that isn’t allowed. His old gang leader sends four guys to kill him, but Austin isn’t in the mood. With help from an old friend, Gene, they take on the gang with guns, knives, fists in the deserted town of Amboy. It is the only thing published by Dusty Sharp, which is too bad. This is a killer read.
I listen to this story. I like to story but I didn’t like the narrator. His voice ruin the story for me.
This is a well written, fast read/listen as it is only a prequel novella. The main character is well developed and easily relatable. There is lots of action and violence, but it is in line with the biker lifestyle and not gratuitous. While I’m not a fan of the genre, the author did a great job with the writing and storytelling and that, for me, is enough for four stars.
No Time to Bleed: Austin Conrad Thriller #2, my third read from author Dusty Sharp. Well written, entertaining read, the prequel to author Dusty Sharp’s Austin Conrad series. I’ll be reading more from this author! Better yet since this is the second book in a multi-book series that I look forward to reading. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 – July 24, 2018).
