When six friends make a pact not to let love get in the way of their careers, the No Brides Club is born. But could meeting the right man at the wrong time cause them to break their vows to each other?Rachel Winters has less than a year until she turns thirty, and she plans to make it big-time on broadway before she hits this particularly stressing rite of passage. So, when the opportunity to … opportunity to teach young, aspiring actors at a weekend workshop presents itself, she eagerly agrees, hoping that this is the first sign her luck’s about to change.
Zander Riley once dreamed of being a star, but a badly broken heart sent his priorities spinning in an entirely different direction. Now a special education teacher, he agrees to chaperone a weekend trip to an acting workshop for the kids’ sake more than his own. If only the gorgeous instructor didn’t reignite a number of passions he’d long since cast aside.
Could it be love at first sight, or is he simply an unneeded obstacle to Rachel’s ambition? Can Zander learn to open his heart once more, even if it means it could break worse than ever before? And will these two theater lovers ultimately set the stage for romance… or tragedy?

No Time for Promises is n excellent sweet, clean romance. Come along as Rachel and Zander, both burned by a previous love, explore the chemistry between them. Can they learn that their past experiences do not have to define them? Can they pursue both their passions and their love. I spent a wonderful afternoon with these two great characters.
This is the first installment but can be read as Standalone . it was thoroughly enjoyable. I loved every minute of it from beginning to end. you’ve got to read this book.
Another amazing second chance at romance cozy. This one stirred my “wanting to do it my way with no complications getting in the way” sort of thought I grew up with! I just love these books and looking forward to reading the next book in this series!
No Time For Promises by Lindsey Detwiler is a sweet romantic story about two people burn by love when they were younger. Rachel and Zander feel that they don’t need love and their careers are their passion. However, Rachel and Zander are instantly attracted to each other but they struggle and fear that they would lose their hearts if they became involved with each other and lose their careers. Thoroughly enjoyed reading Now Time For Promises and highly recommend reading it. I received an ARC copy of this book and voluntarily reviewed it.
I’m sure you’ll enjoy this sweet romance!
Good story about two people who have had their dreams shattered due to broken hearts in the past, and are now reluctant to try love or make promises to anyone. I received an ARC of this book.
The No Brides Club was formed by strong dedicated career women as way of bonding with other like-minded ladies. They saw marriage as interfering with their goals and careers. All sounds good, but times are changing and Rachel Winters is being torn between her total dedication to her career on the stage and her attraction to Zander Riley. Lindsay Detwiler brings these two to life, letting us feel their conflicting emotions. An enjoyable read.
Interesting as it was about a couple both interested in the theater.
I felt that there was too much background story on Zander.
I enjoyed the addition of Rachel’s 80 year old neighbors to the story.
When Rachel and Zander met they feel an instant connection but they are two broken spirits chasing two similar dreams, both pushing love to the side. Can they have a future together facing at last their fears in order to achieve happiness? A sweet love story.
Another fun story in the No Brides Club Series. I enjoyed the characters in this story. They are both afraid to fall in love because of the hurt from past relationships and how those relationships took them off course for their career plans. What a romantic, Zander Riley is in this story. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
Dreamy, wonderful book. Happens to some people. Love the story!!! Funny in alot of spots. Joy to read!!!
This sweet read provides plenty of feels. This book was so enjoyable. I loved Rachel and Zander’s romance. The story was fun and filled with poignant emotions. With a important message about risking your heart and the balance between what we want and what we need, this book will keep you entertained and touch your heart.
