Why did someone kill Olive Pendleton and hide her body?
When bakery owner Lexy Baker and her posse of iPad toting grandmas witness a murder remotely through the camera of a drone, they go straight to Lexy’s homicide detective husband, Jack, to report the crime. But with no body and no crime reported, Jack can’t do a thing, leaving Lexy and her grandmother no alternative than to solve the murder … the murder themselves.
Armed with nothing but their gigantic patent leather purses and a dogged determination to see justice done, the ladies dodge a pack of overzealous Pekeapoos, nosey neighbors and an ornery husband in order to flush out Olive’s killer before he kills again.

Great audio book plenty of twist and turns that will keep you guessing till the end. Love the recipe at the end.Leighann Dobbs
I wasn’t able to suspend my disbelief. When the blue haired ladies saw the body, they should have called the police immediately. These amateur detectives got their exercise by leaping to conclusions.
I like all and have read all of the Lexy Baker series, except “Ain’t seen muffin yet”, only because it hasn’t been released yet.
This author is the true definition of someone writing a cozy mystery
Love her style of writing
Fun and quick read – if you are looking for a deep mystery…not for you. An entertaining book of elderly women lead by a baker and they like to solve mysteries. Their solving process was by guess and by gosh – a little juvenile, but this book was a quick read. The characters are comical and the plot was light. I could see this being a story-line on an episode of the Golden Girls! I would recommend to any who just enjoy a little chuckle.
Enjoy the older ladies who do so well to solve the mystery!
Had a hard time with this one. Just could not finish it. Got about half way through and it just didn’t pick up my interest.
This is a well written typical cozy mystery. The plot is familiar, the characters are engaging but predictable. It is an easy and entertaining book.
Good read for a rainy afternoon. Fun and witty
Amusing and fun to read. Reader needs imagination to believe but that’s the fun if reading.
I think this is the must fun book in the series. I love how the characters react to the baked goods. How they are calmed by the smell of sugar and vanilla or just stuff them in their purse for later. This I can understand. Reading this books make the reader feel as if they just ate a sinfully delicious dessert, wonderful and happy. A nice easy fun read.
Always fun to read this author
It was cute. A bit slow but still entering. I don’t select from the highly read, sex, vulgarity, violence that most would find entertaining.
So this suited me fine.
I liked that her husband was supportive and that she was patient with relative and friends who met up with more.
The suggestions for baking were a hit.
Easy, fun series.
Fun read
The old ladies are a hoot. Smart and feisty.
Love it
Loved, loved Lexy’s sidekicks. The old girls are fun. Great story!
I found this book to be one of the most entertaining books I have read in a while. I love this author! Highly recommend you read this book.
