Zepp Hunt wasn’t the king of Dayton high school. He was the top of the food chain. And I was next in line to be dragged into the lion’s den. At least that’s what he thought… with tattoos and a rap sheet.
Until I couldn’t.
Until we traded favors, and I owed him three months of my life. I never thought I would end up in his bed, and when I did, I had to remind myself that he hated me as much as I hated him.
Until I didn’t.
Zepp Hunt was no prince, and I absolutely refused to be his damsel in distress…

No Prince was great. I felt so many emotions while reading this! It was angsty and heartbreaking! I really enjoyed it!
With No Prince, my favorite duo of authors once more brought out a riveting story.
That modern version of the War of the Buttons is set in a little town where a war rages between the kids from the poor area of Dayton and those of the rich area of Barrington.
“Barrington emptied a garbage bag on Wolf’s truck.”Wolf crumpled his straw paper up and tossed it to the floor. “Diapers and tampons and shit.”
Between pranks that had me smiling so big and bullying and unfairness that made me so angry, I felt for Monroe and Zeppelin (how awesome are those names, right?)
In that heartbreaking atmosphere, in their broken families, with their touching tribes, they adapt, they fight and they love. At turns, Roe’s dreams gave me hope, whereas Zepp’s bitterness and resignation saddened me.
“A guy who used to be a player and was taken to his knees by a girl who stole his heart.”
In No Prince, L.P Lovell and Stevie J. Cole wrote a clerverly well-balanced tale of raw emotions, sweet feelings and poignant situations. They built the intensity and created a love story as beautiful as torrid and sincere.
Stevie J. Cole and L.P. Lovell has written an angsty and heartbreaking new adult romance set in harsh reality. This story is so much more than romance between two young souls. This is a journey through dark truths of life as Zepp and Monroe fights to stay alive and afloat in a brutal world.
None of the characters in this story saw a normal happy childhood in their messed up town of Dayton. They belong to the proverbial wrong side of the track. Poverty. Addiction. Crime. Violence. Abuse.Their life reeks of desperation, hopelessness and frustration. And they use anger and indifference as their defence. Zeppelin Hunt and his crew rules Dayton High. They are a bunch of misfits doing whatever necessary to survive. Stealing cars. Dealing weeds. They are arrogant, reckless, crazy and edgy. Zepp is their leader who never lets himself to be attached to anyone. Well, until he makes a deal with Monroe to serve as his kind of personal assistant when she is caught in a wrong situation. Now she has crawled inside his skin and he doesn’t know what to do with all these feelings.
My heart is full of pain and heartbreak for Monroe. She has seen so much tragedies and endured so much negativity in her young age. Reality has hardened her and no one can penetrate her shield. And Zepp will be the last person she should fall for. But he is the only person who cared for her in a twisted way and is ready to go to any length to protect her. They have this odd friendship that can only be formed between two broken people who have experienced the darkest side of humanity. It’s slow burn as they go through lots of confusing and troubling phases. Their chemistry is something else. And my heart broke so badly when Zepp took that drastic step!
No Prince is not a fairytale. It’s hard reality of blood, pain, sweat and tears. It’s a fighting tale of two damaged but stubborn people as they conquered the obstacles on their path of happily ever after.
Received ARC for honest review
“Zepp had become a safe haven; an unlikely protector I didn’t want but at that moment, needed.”
No Prince is a dark, high school bully romance and it had me addicted and needing more.
Monroe and Zepp are unlike any couple I’ve read. They’re real, raw, and a tad bit psycho. But they’re perfect for each other.
This story was a unique take on bully romance. It definitely had its bully moments but it flowed together in a way I haven’t read in a while. The lace was slower but I loved that about it. I’m a huge fan of dark and bully romance and this book hit all its marks.
“Zepp was insane, but I couldn’t help the smile or the little flutter in my chest as I watched Zepp Hunt do exactly what he did best: Be bad for me.”
Zepp is a tar crazy. Okay.. a little more than a tad. But there is more than meets the eye with this ‘White Trash Bad Boy’. I craved more of him and his dominating possessiveness.
Monroe is a fire cracker. She refuses to get pushed around by anybody. Including Zepp and his buddies. She is smart, cunning, and feisty.
Both of these authors are new to me but this book was a great place to start. I’m glad I read it.
“The lines between us were shifting. We’d been enemies, but we weren’t that now.”
Loved Monroe!
I love when authors give us great strong female characters and that is Exactly what Monroe is. Now don’t get me wrong I loved Zepp too but Monroe is one those characters that will stick with me for a while. And not only Zepp and Monroe but this book has outstanding side characters that brought lots of drama and laughs to the book. And honestly I hope they get books of their own.
This is a book growing up on the wrong side of the tracks and striving and fighting to come out with more, a actually chance to make something of yourself. To have dreams and work to have them come true. The chemistry between Zepp and Monroe is sizzling and I totally loved their story.

Wow!!! What an AMAZING read!!! Zepp is definitely my PRINCE! This man will have you in all your feels by the end! Moe has become one my most favored heroines, her strength and love made her one fierce B. This book will leave you heart wanting more…so much more!
“The more he annoyed me, the more this thing between us crackled to life, whispering sordid promises into my ear. In the dark, his eyes seemed like a bottomless abyss, one that I found myself tiptoeing the edge of.”
Completely and utterly taken captive by this story!!! It was EVERYTHING!!!! There were parts where I just giggled uncontrollably until tears were running down my face!!!! This story was completely addictive and intoxicating from the very first scene, and I never wanted it to end. Small town romance with edge, dark subjects, so many issues tackled, a little bit bully, SO MUCH Alpha!! I couldn’t decide who was more intense, Zepp or Monroe!! Two kids coming up in a rough life, overcoming obstacles any way they can, and learning about themselves and each other along the way. I laughed, I screamed, I fanned myself, I cheered, and possibly flipped through every emotion possible. It was an absolute wild ride from start to end and I loved it SO hard. Absolutely on my Top Reads List of 2020!! I thank the Authors for providing a copy to review!!
“Every fiber of me knew he was a bad idea, but he also felt like the only safety in a world of chaos. Dangerous. So very dangerous.”

Monroe is the girl from the wrong side of the tracks, with a heart of gold….one she doesn’t let anyone close to. After witnessing her mother spiral out of control due to her addiction and her attraction to the wrong kind of men, Monroe is determined to not end up like her. As soon as she graduates she plans on leaving town and never looking back. But then she falls for Zepp and suddenly that heart she has kept hidden for so long starts rattle itself free from it’s cage, and then all bets are off!
No Prince is a gritty, raw, angst filled little page-turner that will have you hooked from the first page, it words are so darn addictive! This isn’t your typical love story, it’s messy, unpredictable, and filled with so much palpable heat and hate! These two were quite the pairing, both were anti-feelings and anti-love, both determined to not fall for anyone…. but their efforts were futile! I loved watching these two circle around one another, constantly pushing each other’s buttons, pushing the boundaries of their “friendship,” the heat between them sizzled throughout. There was so much to love about this heart-twisting tale it’s words were perfectly penned and captivating, the characters were well drawn and easy to fall for… in other-wards I loved it! Highly recommend!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
I received an ARC copy of this book for an honest review.
When these two authors get together magical thing’s happen and this book is no exception
I love how Monroe and Zepp trade blow for blow and she doesn’t bow down to his every whim, like everyone else in his life.
This book is steamy and delicious as always with Lp Lovell and Stevie J Cole.
I can guarantee you that when you read this book you won’t want to put it down until you have devoured every single word
I feel like I’ve read so many high school based bully romance books that they all start to blend together. But No Prince not only managed to stand out, but might be one of my favorites books in the genre so far. This hot and gritty enemies to lovers story is not to be missed! I adored both main characters and loved that the book stepped away from the standard weak heroine/rich mean hero formula. Monroe is one of my favorite heroines. She can definitely hold her own and yet manages not to come across as cold. There’s a core of vulnerability and inherent goodness in her that her tough as nails exterior protects from the world. Zepp is someone who appears tough as nails at first and hides behind his man-whore facade, violent temper, and easy bad boy charm. He doesn’t apologize for his chosen lifestyle nor has any lofty aspirations. While Monroe is desperate to get out, Zepp, at first glance, appears content with where he is at. When these two get together sparks fly. At the same time and quite uncharacteristically this book is somewhat of a slow burn. I loved how their relationship developed and how it wasn’t rushed. I also really enjoyed seeing the friendships that were front and center in the book. I do hope we get to read some other character’s stories (Jade and Wolf anyone?).
Last but not least, the book was at times laugh out loud funny and I enjoyed that break from the hopeless and grim reality of these kids lives.
No Prince by Stevie Cole & LP Lovell is the story of Monroe and Zeppelin. Both are dealing with a rough life. Both are from the wrong side of the tracks. They do what they have to, just trying to survive. Monroe lives in the trailer park with her cracked out mother. Trying to do better for herself Monroe sees a scholarship as her way out of her circumstances. However until that times she does what she has to in order to make ends meet. Zepp and his crew steal cars, sells dope and are the town’s resident bad boys. Monroe stays away from Zepp and his crew but when she needs a favor she finds herself at his beck and call for 3 months. The story was a little silly and over the top; so what. I loved Monroe and Zepp. Their bickering and back and forth with a healthy dose of sexual tension had me truly entertained. Zepp’s brother Hendrick is absolutely hilarious and mental. I laughed so much during this story along with falling in love with it. I could have read more about Monroe and Zepp. Their friends where rather interesting and I would love to read a story about each one of them. I was left with a smile on my face and a warm and fuzzy feeling. 4.5 stars for me
3.5
So, I have mixed feelings when it comes to this book. It turned out completely different than I had anticipated which isn’t a bad thing. It’s absolutely more of a slow burn enemies/lovers High School Romance. And because of the slow burn aspect the story was paced differently than I had anticipated at times feeling lethargic. I wanted to love it, I really did, the blurb had me, but once I got into it, I just couldn’t connect with the characters the way I wanted to.
, ’ , .
Zepp and Monroe go to the same High School but haven’t spoken to each other until one fateful night when they cross paths. Actions took place and Deals were struck which kept them in each other’s lives for a time. During this time, they actually start to get to know each other, other than what they assumed. They started peeling back the layers of each other and discovering more of a bond than they realized.
’ , .
Yes, Zepp is the quintessential bad boy, but he has a depth to him that you would not expect and an artist’s soul that was pleasantly surprising. Monroe is just trying to get out from the crap hand she has been dealt in her life. She has plans and goals set, and she doesn’t want to deter from them. She never expected Zepp and she was not prepared for him. I loved that they both came from similar backgrounds and had that connection between them. But at times I felt Monroe was unnecessarily naive and coming from her background I don’t think she would have been.

This book was not as I expected, it hit some deep issues that brought a level of levity to the story that I was not prepared for. The lives that these characters lead out of necessity hit’s you like a gut punch and pulls you through an array of feelings. I felt for these characters on a visceral level, how they live their lives is sad but honest in a way that so many things aren’t. This book was without a doubt unexpected it’s raw and intense dealing with socioeconomic issues that many try to ignore but are without doubt prevalent.
No Prince is a stand-alone story about high school students who are enemies/lovers. While the story is about growing up in a small repressed town, where drugs, alcohol, and stealing are the norm. Making it out alive and striving is just a pipe dream, some dreams are make-believe while others dreams are what pushes people to do more, be more, love harder. Keep in mind this story is dark, it’s not your typical happily ever after.
NO PRINCE by Stevie J. Cole & LP Love is the story of Monroe ‘Roe’ James and Zeppelin ‘Zepp’ Hunt.
Monroe is in a bad situation where her mother is a deadbeat druggie who has abusive boyfriends who sometimes like now are drug dealers. Monroe has goals set for herself to not be anything like her mother and she wants to get out of Dayton. Monroe has been doing things to get her on that path that sometimes isn’t always good. When she ends up needing something from Zepp who she hates tells her that he will basically own her for three months. Zepp is Dayton High School ‘King’ where all the students girl or boy wants something from him. Zepp is not a easy person to like and he doesn’t really care that you do or don’t. What Zepp cares about is his brother and will of course do anything for him. Zepp finds Monroe different in that she isn’t one of the students trying to get close to him and they have a sort of enemies status. But, now he has her in his control. This puts them getting to know each other and finding that they are so different. It just takes their attraction to each other to the next level. Overall really enjoyed their story.
