Zepp Hunt wasn’t the king of Dayton high school. He was the top of the food chain. And I was next in line to be dragged into the lion’s den. At least that’s what he thought… with tattoos and a rap sheet.
Until I couldn’t.
Until we traded favors, and I owed him three months of my life. I never thought I would end up in his bed, and when I did, I had to remind myself that he hated me as much as I hated him.
Until I didn’t.
Zepp Hunt was no prince, and I absolutely refused to be his damsel in distress…

No Prince by L.P. Lovell & Stevie J. Cole is a dark Romance.
The book dives into the relationships of characters Zepp and Monroe. Zepp and Monore are in a suffocating environment. They are both desperate to break free from it. To them it feels like a place you can never escape.
Zepp and Monroe’s comes crashing into each other when she steals a car that he and his boys are trying to take right from under her nose. From there, it is very much a cat and mouse relationship of both trying to survive their small town but also each other.
Monroe is desperate to escape her current reality. She is under the thumb of her mother’s nasty boyfriend, struggling to survive, even if it means that she ends up being physically hurt by doing so. In contrast, there isn’t anything Zepp won’t do for his brother, long putting his life on hold, he is just surviving by any means possible. Zepp lives in the darkness.
Both characters have strong sense of self and are very much living their circumstances. Most of their anger at the world is because of where they live in town, they are seen as lesser and that is kind of highlighted throughout the book with various other characters. There are certainly boundaries that are established based on where you live in the town.
The story takes a lot of twists and turns when Monroe ends up owing Zepp for him helping her. Monroe and Zepp certainly have a lot of chemistry and it was a very sexy reading about it, the story is deeper than just their physical relationship.
There are a lot of ups and downs emotionally for both characters and that is what keeps you engaged in the story. As you read you Have to know if what happens to them and if they get a HEA. You are absolutely invested in the characters.
This was a 3.75/5 read for me. I had a couple of story line issues nothing major. The story was enjoyable, but it was very dark. Lot of moments of sadness for the characters.
You never know what you’re going to get with a high school romance…good or not so good. I thought this one was excellent! Lots of emotion but not a lot of angst. The characters pop off the pages and I saw these young men and women in living color. Such tragic lives as trailer trash on the wrong side of town just trying to survive with druggie parents, if that, and taking care of themselves any way they can. The heroine, Monroe, is fabulous. A spunky red-headed firecracker that just wants to graduate with grades good enough for a free ride out of the low-class town she lives in. I love a gal that can throw a punch! She tries to stay in the background and off the radar of the school’s bad boys, Zepp, Hendrix, Wolf and Bellamy. A car boost gone wrong puts her in the path of their king, Zepp. He sees his chance to get close to Monroe even if she hates his guts with his “one and done’’ ways. Zepp is a swoon-worthy bad boy with his tats, muscles and pretty-boy face. The push pull between these two is fantastic. It’s terrific as these two struggle to find their way to love. Neither has any idea how to have a real relationship. She’s leery of his attention and he’s used to girls falling in his lap. The build of their romance seemed authentic and poignant and beautiful. Both of their lives are lived in danger and a few times I feared for their safety especially when the Richie rich kids from the wealthy school are out to get them. I loved these bad boys and their wild antics. There were a few laughs along with the budding romance between Zepp and Roe. Great secondary characters with the bad boy group along with Monroe’s bestie, Jade. It fell off a little at the end, seemed rushed and anticlimactic but overall it was a fantastic story that kept me engaged. I hope there are more stories from this bunch, especially the goofy spaz, Hendrix. And it looks like there’s something there between Jade and Wolf. Loved it! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC. 4.5 stars
I eagerly awaited this book and it was so well worth the wait. This book was everything and more! Zepp is a total bad boy who you can’t help but fall in love with, faults and all. And don’t get me started on how amazing Monroe is! What an incredible character she is! These two have been brought up in a not so great neighborhood yet they somehow persevere thru life. Monroe strives to make a better life, but when Zepp enters the picture, can she follow thru on her dreams? Can Zepp let her give up everything? These two complex characters are perfect for each other and I rooted for them throughout this story. But life doesn’t always work the way we want it. I laughed at parts and cried in others. The struggles these two go thru will make you feel so much sympathy for them yet also make you understand how they came to be. This book is a complete must read and I highly recommend it!
Everytime you pick up a book from this writing duo you know your going to get something pretty damn special….and NO PRINCE is right up there with the best of them….
Zepp the bad boy every girl wants to try and save and Monroe the feisty red head just trying to get by and get the hell out of Dayton.
” We’re just surviving, right?”
That statement really says it all.
This is an emotional raw slow burn enemies to lovers book that tackles situations that really make your emotions react in a way that makes your heart hurt for these characters, and covers situations that are still all very relevant in this day and age.
I absolutely loved zepp and monroe they kept me hooked to the story from the start with a little help from Hendrix,,,,,he kinda stole the show for me and I cant wait for more of him.
What kind of mind warp have we entered? No Prince by Stevie Cole and LP Lovell is a great high school bully romance like none other. Usually there is a power struggle across social classes with the two main characters, but this book takes the story from a different angle. Cole and Lovell wrote about violence, finical struggles and some incredibly hot and steamy romance. The characters in this book are tight knit and their loyalty is inspiring, we would all be lucky to have that in real life. I absolutely loved this book! 5-stars for No Prince.
Monroe James needs money to get out of Dayton. She is not proud of the things she must do but it is better than taking a beating from her mom’s boyfriend. Zeppelin Hunt does what he has to to support himself and his brother. When Monroe crosses Zepp and then ends up owing him three months of her time she never expected the crazy jobs he wants her to do. Zepp is No Prince and he proves that time and time again to everyone but Monroe. Zepp hates Monroe and she hates him but together they have three months to see what kind of trouble they can get into and out of.
No Prince is exactly that: no prince. No princess, no ball, no castle. Just a bunch of high school kids that have been dealt a really shitty life. My heart hurt so much while reading this book. It was written with so much depth and hard Truths that it was pretty easy to get a feel for the characters – great writing on the part of the two authors
You can really feel that Zepp is ringing hard with himself to be the bad guy that he is. He has that great side on him that he only shows to Roe – kinda
He’s made his peace with his life and Roe is the best thing that could have happened to him, in order to see his talents and become a better person.
One could think that Roe was a naive little girl that gets no attention, keeps low in school and just wants to escape. Sure she wants to escape, but she’s not really laying low
In order to get her kinda step daddy off her back she needs to to illegal stuff for him – whether she likes it or not.
These two were exactly what the other needed!!
While I enjoyed reading this book and I could get into the characters pretty easily, I thought that their relationship was a bit too soon and I’ve missed that hate to love part for a greater part of the story… So it’s only 4 stars for me!
NO PRINCE will definitely not be my last book of these authors and I can recommend this book to anyone who likes high school bully books that are on the darker sides
Disclaimer: I received an Advance Reader Copy at no cost from the publisher/author. All opinions in my review are my own.
This book, oh my gods, this book! This book took me for such a wild ride and I am completely shaken at this point. I fell into this story so hard.
I noticed, first of all, that I was completely pulled into this story. The world-building was amazing. Descriptions and details were so vivid and they really make the setting feel real to the reader.
These characters were just everything. Seriously. I fell in love with these characters so quickly. I loved that the main characters had distinct personalities and that they were very authentic. They just felt like real people. Both Zepp and Monroe had depth and they had great character growth in the story. One of the things that I think made this book so incredible was the cast of secondary characters. I fell just as in love with them as the main characters. I really hope that the authors decide to write more books with these characters.
The romance in this story was very intense. I love the way that Zepp and Monroe learn to trust one another and gradually fall for each other. I loved Zepp’s protective instincts and Monroe’s loyalty. These two really lit up the pages with their chemistry. They were absolutely ablaze with it. There was so much great banter between them and so much sexual tension.
The plot of this story really kept me guessing. I never quite knew what was going to happen. I was poised at the edge of my seat while reading this just waiting fot the plot twists. The plot was clever and totally engrossing. There was an epilogue, which I was glad for, but I wish that it had had a little more information about the secondary characters. The storytelling was just beautiful. I was so captured by it. The writing style was so smooth and effortless.
Overall, this was an addictive and intoxicating story that had me glued to the pages. The story was compelling, the characters were vibrant, and the world-building was atmospheric. This has been one of my favorite books of the year so far and I honestly can’t wait for more from this writing duo. I can only hope that the secondary characters from this book get their own stories too!
If your looking for something raw & dirty then look no further. No Prince is a standalone dark romance that is co-written by LP Lovell & Stevie J Cole. This is a very angsty romance but includes a ton of humour from one special character that made me laugh so hard, hope LP & Stevie decide to do a story for him. Loved Zepp & Monroe’s story & look forward to reading more from this world!
No Prince is a dark high school bully romance yet it has a different pace than the other high school bully romances I’ve read recently. It’s raw, it’s deep, and it’s SO addictive.
Zepp and Monroe are enemies from the same school. Zepp is the ultimate playboy and doesn’t do relationships. Monroe is a give no f*cks bombshell.
Events happen that make Monroe owe Zepp a favor(s) and from there everything that is stereotypical is anything but.
I love the way the story developed. Everything I thought was happening or going to happen didn’t. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any deeper, it did.
There are lots of secondary characters that I hope get a story at some time because there is a lot of stories to be told with them!
I strongly suggest reading this book just know it’s NOT going to be like the others.
Um, well…I didn’t enjoy this story. I love these authors, they have talet, but this story was a miss for me.
The first 30% was good, really good. It had amazing dynamic, wonderful characters, tension, a hint of darkness, some crazy, passion and the sexual heat between Zep and Monroe was amazing! But then the story flatlined for me and nothing really interesting or consequential happened. I couldn’t take it and started to skim (only reading the dialogue) until 60% where a very sweet/romantic scenes hapoened. But then again I didn’t connect. The story was too much push away not enough engaging moments and it was bland and predictable. The story was too long for what actually happened and I was bummed tgat the ending (last few chapters/agnst) was rushed.
I was not expecting this book! Cole and Lovell have completely blown me away! Zeppelin Hunter and Monroe James are like no couple I have read before.
Zeppelin Hunt is the bad boy from the wrong side of the tracker. Girls line up for a night with him. His family history sucks and it’s basically him and his brother now. Monroe James’ life is not what any teenage girl should have to live. Her mother is a drug addict, her mother’s boyfriend someone no one should want around their daughter.
Roe and Zepp have enough sexual tension to start a fire. The push, pull of their relationship is amazing to read. These two are absolutely amazing. They have a connection that’s so strong they just can’t fight it. Their three month agreement can turn into something so much more if they let it.
There is no prince in this book, and there is no damsel in distress. Roe is strong, smart, and independent. Zepp may not be a prince but one thing that is clear is he is Roe’s knight. Without even knowing he should her how to love, and showed her she could love someone.
When Zepp takes a deal that changes their lives my heart broke for both of them. One mistake change both of their lives. The guy who claims he’s not a white knight decides to be one.
No Prince is real, raw, and gritty. Cole and Lovell give us this inside look at what really happens sometimes in life. Drug addiction is real and it hurts all of those around you. This book gives you a first hand look at this. These two authors make you feel every bit of the pain these characters feel. My heart hurt for the lives these teenagers had to live, the ones they didn’t ask for but were given anyways. The stealing they had to do just to survive. The lives they didn’t believe they deserved. It was truly gut wrenching to see everything they had to go through and that out there in the world this is actually the life some people live.
No Prince is a must read, 5 star book! If I could give more I would! Do your self a favor and read this!
This is a standalone told in dual POVs.
This was a slow-burn romance that deals with drugs, bullying, social status, and trying to survive when you’ve been dealt some tough hands in life. Zeppelin “Zep” Hunt and Monroe “Roe” James don’t run in the same circles and have different aspirations, but they have more in common than they know. Then when Monroe steps on Zepp’s toes/territory, and Monroe needs something from him, Zepp offers to help her out for 3 months of servitude to him. Little did Zepp know, this plan would backfire on him. This event sets into motion an unlikely bond they begin to form. They each find something in one another that they didn’t know they were looking for, but life isn’t fair to them. There are unfortunate events that occur and their newfound happiness is soon shattered. Can they overcome these obstacles or will they be too much to overcome
Zepp was a bad boy with a pretty face with a chip on his shoulder, a bad attitude, and a worse reputation. Every girl wants him but Zepp isn’t the relationship kind of guy. I really liked him. Deep down, he had a good heart and was loyal to a fault with those he loves. Life dealt him with some crappy hands. He and his brother have been on their own, fending for themselves since he was 15. Monroe is strong, smart, and feisty. She does what she has to survive. All she wants is to get her education and get out of Dayton. She is determined to make a future for herself outside of her sad hometown. Roe is okay being alone. She is used to it considering her mom is a crack addict and doesn’t take care of her. That is until she finds how much she likes being a part of a “family” no matter how dysfunctional it may be. There’s more to Zepp than Roe originally saw. I loved Zepp and Roe together. The chemistry between them crackles and sizzles. They are both broken but together they are whole.
I have mixed emotions about this book. There were aspects that I really liked about this story and some aspects I struggled to like. Overall, it was a good book but at times I did not connect with some of the characters and situations. I thought the plot was good but could have been better developed. Especially in the end. It felt a little rushed and I was hoping for more. I encourage you to read it and form your own opinion though. It is a standalone that ends in a HEA.

This is the first time that I have read a book that these two authors have written together. I enjoyed reading and following Zepp and Monroe’s antics toward each other, almost as if they were trying to out do the other. I wouldn’t mind reading another book written by these two together as well as their individual works.
Zepp is the ruler of the high school. Monroe stays away from him but ends up owing him three months because of a favor. She never expected to end up in his bed or falling for him. This story has so many twists and turns and is not your typical high school bully romance.
I’ll admit, I was intrigued by the blurb, but a little piece of me just figured this was another enemies to lovers story. Ohhhhh how wrong I was! Zepp was a formidable person, while Roe preferred to be an introvert. But as different as they appeared in the hallways of their school, they were more alike than they cared to believe, which caused their paths to severely cross. From there this story takes the reader on a wild ride!
After finishing this late last night, I found myself thinking back to Zepp and Roe several times today, asking myself which one grabbed my heart. Throughout the adventure my allegiance may have waned a couple of times! I agreed with the title, but by the end I’d want Zepp in my corner.
This book had some interesting characters that definitely added to the depth of the story! I thoroughly enjoyed the authors’ description of the people, places and situations. Wonderful collaboration of two minds that write as one.
This book is beyond words! I stayed up till about 3:45 am to finish it. It is a masterpiece. I’ve read a good amount of books from Stevie but this one, wow. This is a whole nother level. Monroe and Zeppelin have a epic love. What started off as a deal between not quite enemies but not friends, for three months Zepp ownes Monroe as a personal assistant of sorts but everything that ensues brings them together. This book is filled with so many emotions lots of love and hate, you can feel the sexual tension between them. There is some things that make other people uncomfortable, abuse, rape, drug use. Nothing really bad to put me off of reading it. I really hope to get books on some of the other boys. This was absolutely a five star read!

I love these authors, therefore, I’m disappointed that I have to write a three-star review on one of their books.
I don’t like not finishing books when I have to review them, so I finished this although I knew from the very early stages that I wasn’t going to enjoy this read. I couldn’t connect with the characters. I didn’t detect a plot arc that was satisfactory and enough to keep me intrigued for the duration of this novel. If this was mainly a romance, then it was executed badly. It felt too long and with too little depth in it or let’s say that the depths it could’ve explored were sadly not explored. I kept thinking about books that were fairly similar to it and I compared them in my mind, deciding that No Prince just didn’t reach any of my standards. I didn’t connect with Roe. I wanted to like Zepp and his brother Hendrix with their lovely names and all, but I just didn’t care. Hendrix had his funny moments, but there was simply something missing, unfortunately. If I had to describe it, I’d say that it was what the convenient soft dark bully romance formula is without adding a new twist to it to make it captivating. There were glimmers of hope; Zepp with his artsy side and Roe with her future. I’m also considering that perhaps I just don’t understand or care enough for the experience that people like these characters have, but then again, I liked Havoc At Prescott High. I felt like there was this fake wokeness to the characters in their inner monologues where they reflected on the situations they or their friends were in when they were doing not-so-woke things in the rest of their page time. If there had been a more eminent threat in the story (there was a good villain choice in Roe’s life, but it wasn’t handled in the presence of the leads) then I’d feel more for Roe and Zepp. It appeared to me that they started out as a bully romance that seemed very convincing, as it should, and then they went insta-love the next day. There’s usually a balance to hate/love in these stories that the authors regrettably didn’t reach for me. I’m very sorry to write this review, but I’ll keep reading these authors’ stories because they have a special place in my dark room with Absolution LOL. If this wasn’t THAT read for me, I’m sure that the next one will be IT again!
I knew this story was going to be mind blowing because mastered by the combination of these 2 amazing authors. It was so much more.
Monroe hates everything Zepp represents. A cocky bully that is above the law. He will do anything to get a rise out of her. Both from difficult backgrounds, they try to survive. They will form sort of an alliance.
This is a enemy to lover story. It was highly entertaining and addicting. There was never a dull moment. Some scenes were difficult to read due to the nature of the storyline. Zepp made it fun at times too. I might have laughed a time or two. This story can be rough a bit, it kept me on the edge of my seat. Bottomline this is a must read.
Standalone told in a dual POV with an HEA. I highly recommend this story.
5 ZEPP AND MONROE STARS!! Zepp and Monroe are my favorite couple so far this year. I absolutely loved everything about this book. I read this story in one sitting, it was so good. This book had it all from humor, sexiness, fantastic characters, drama and love. You definitely need to read this book, so go ahead and 1-Click.
The best high school bully romance I’ve read!
When this dynamic duo get together and collaborate on a story, you better fasten you’re seatbelts and hang on for one wild ride.
This book is no exception as it is on a league of its own.
This high school bully romance is for adults only and adults that like darkish edgy stories.
Intense, suspenseful and super gritty these characters came to life and told us one hell of an explosive story.
Even the names of the characters were unique and captivating.
From page one I was mesmerized by the love hate relationship between the main characters Zeppelin and Monroe.
Zeppelin is on a league of his own as the ultimate alpha bad boy. He is rough, tough and unapologetic. He comes off as the perfect anti-hero. However as the story unfolds and develops, I saw that underneath that tough exterior there’s a vulnerability and a big heart that I couldn’t help loving him.
He met his match with Monroe. She is one feisty badass heroine who gives as good as she gets and Zepp has met his match with her.
One night their worlds collide after both go after the same thing. Except, when things don’t go as expected, Monroe is forced to make a deal with Zepp.
Told in alternating POV, the characters gave us their insight into where they were coming from making them realistic and relatable.
Both share similar demons and are both struggling for the same thing except they dont know it.
Their chemistry was combustible, and their banter was snarky, sharp and at times hilarious.
As their story unfolded, there was a slow burn vibe to them that for me, fit their journey.
What unfolds is a high speed, raw and emotional story that is more than an enemies to lovers romance.
It was about overcoming obstacles and acceptance.
I hope we get more stories about the secondary characters.
