Wow-what an amazing ride – this is the 3rd book in the I perfection series. The story follows Carter and Aimee. Carter has just lost his wife to a hit and run. He is grieving and struggling. Aimee Enters his life and starts to bring some colour back k to his life. Then the unthinkable happens! Aimee is viciously attacked and she wonders if she will ever be whole again. The emotion is intense. The suspense, the grit of it, it’s dark but such a page turner. I recommend that you read the books in order.

This is book three in the Imperfection series and we focus on a new couple. This one can be read as a standalone but there are previous relationships that the reader is exposed to in the previous books in the series. This book is about Carter and Aimee. Carter is a successful CEO that is a recent widow, he has given up on finding love again and focused on work. Aimee is a woman that has made a successful entrance into the fashion world and no longer has to worry about monies. She is a friends with Carter’s brother and decides to pop by for a visit. Nothing like an impromptu visit to start a chain of events and begin a new story. Don’t forget about Marisol, she is present and active in this book too. What a great read…..anxiously ready to start the next one in the series.

I have not read any of this authors books before, I had the chance to read an ARC for the last book in the series so I bought the first 4 books and read them first. I am so glad I did. The ending was a surprise but it was good. The series was fun, suspenseful and sexy. All the best in a book.
Remember Declan’s brother Carter? This is his story, and the story of his relationship with Aimee (we also meet her in previous books). Tragically widowed really young, Carter finally feels able to move on, and does so by going back to his home town and opening a security business. With Marisol in jail, Aimee is taking her modeling contracts – and just like that, Marisol is back in the reader’s mind. Although they get off on the wrong foot, Carter and Aimee fall in love – and tragedy strikes. With one of the most beautiful endings I’ve read recently, this book is less traumatic than No Perfect Man and No Perfect Time, but it is still gripping and insightful. And, at times, nightmare-inducing. How low will Marisol stoop?

This is an intense story from the start and follows on from the two previous books. Carter is still coping with moving on with his life after his wife’s death and going to help his brother and sister-in-law, he returns to the home he shared with his wife and finds the memories and grief hard to deal with at first. An unexpected visit from someone he met and friended while at his brothers has him feeling very mixed emotions.
While most of this book is spent dealing with pretty heavy and emotional issues I didn’t find it oppressive, deep yes, even a small bit disturbing in a few places (Due to events) but it is all part of the plot-line. PTSD is just one of the issues covered. A symptom left after a savage attack has both characters trying to find ways of not just dealing but ways to minimise how bad the panic is.
There are some really cute and romantic times which do help to lighten what could possibly a very dark and deep story otherwise, so I found those moments a brilliant way to ease the tension. I mainly found this story to be an inspiration of hope and second chance at life and love. I wish my own life hadn’t got in the way of me shutting it out so I could completely lose myself in my reading of this gripping book, which from my point of view is a bit sad and meant I didn’t do full justice to getting completely enveloped in the story. I wanted to close myself away, shut out any intrusions and just soak it all up, concentrate on the words because I felt they deserved that level of my involvement, to feel all the emotions and the ups and downs of these characters. I did manage to do so in between work and other life tasks getting in the way, which I am pleased about as it contained all the elements I love in a fantastic story. I do advise reading the first two books as they are all a part of the bigger picture on the main story, they give you background for all the turmoil and allow you to get the full benefit of the overall plot that follows through all of them.
WOW! This book is amazing! I was on pins and needles reading this book. I loved Carter in the previous books and the way he took care of his brother. Aimee had a crush on Carter but knew he needed time to grieve. This book is full of action and emotions. The suspense of what did happen and what may happen is amazing. I love this series and I can’t wait for the next book!
You never know how strong you are until tragedy strikes. Just when Aimee and Carter move from being friends to being lovers, they are involved in a horrific attack which tests just how much two broken people can overcome. But is the deck stacked against them when the woman who killed his wife is still in the picture? I absolutely loved this book. The characters were so well developed that the reader can feel every emotion on the page and the storyline had me crying, laughing as well as swearing at my kindle. This book had it all.
