Quincy Cavendish was my first real love. She’s the girl that no other measured up to—no matter how hard they tried. The one that got away, but was always in my sights. My sweetheart, I loved her when I could and when I shouldn’t.I was her first kiss. Her first crush. There’s nothing I wanted more than to be her first everything, but still, I walked away. I let her go when I should have held on … I should have held on tight.
It’s too late to change the past. It’s impossible to do. We’re different people now, but one thing remains the same—my love for her.
I may not have had all her firsts, but I will be all her lasts. I’m loving her for keeps.
We’ve circled each other all our lives, but we’ve never had our moment until now.

No One But You by Alexandra Silva definitely has love, loss and refound love. I must say in the beginning of the book I was confused as the chapters were the characters names,Quincy and Jamie. After a couple of chapters I followed right along and figured it out. Quincy and Jamie were friends at one point but went their separate ways. Both get married but Quincy has a miscarriage that she can’t get over and her husband Richard leaves her but she ends up having a baby girl. Eventually they get divorced. Jamie marrys Jenna has a little girl but then eventually they too get divorced. So now Jenna and Richard are married.
2 years go by and Quincy and Jamie work at the same hospital and they pick up where they left off. Jamie wants a future but Quincy is not so sure. They eventually have a baby boy and the exes have a baby girl. The last sentence in the book I didn’t see coming but was very happy it did. It was a great book and I highly recommend it.
Let me tell you a short story: one day I opened Facebook and I saw a post for a giveaway. The prize was a book with a beautiful woman on it. Then I saw that the author and I have the same name (Alexandra is a beautiful name ) and I knew I needed this book. I’ve never heard of this author, she’s new to me, but not only to me. She’s new to everyone because this is her debut. But I was not aware that this is a debut until I read half of the book and then some of the reviews on GR. I was not aware because this story is really, really amazing, the writing is beautiful, the characters are adorable and loveable. And there are a lot of kids (and I love books with kids).
Quincy and Jamie work together at the same hospital, they are also friends for a long time and from the beginning, years ago, since they were kids, they are in love with each other. But they both married other people. Now that they are both divorced, they are eventually free for each other. But it’s not that easy because of the things that happened in the past.
Usually I have a problem to fall in love with the female main character but I really fell in love with Quincy. I was so sorry for her, for the things that happened to her and the loss she had to bear. And although her past was so hard she’s a strong and confident woman, with an amazing career and the sweetest daughter.
Jamie is great. He’s a real friend and a great dad, he has his heart in the right place and his need to help people is what makes him so adorable. I love that he gives Quincy time to work through her problems of her own. And I love how they both love each other. How they give each other strenght. It’s great how they cope with their exes because of the kids, they only want what’s best for them. Their connection is palpable through the whole book and very unique. The story was not what I expected but so much more.
This story is so well written, realistic and gripping. I not only love the main characters, I also love the side characters and I really would love to read a story about Willow, Dorian and Jake ! I never write about my favorite quote, but this time I have one.
“He didn’t just tell me he loved me every chance he got, he showed me with every innocent and every illicit touch.”
Thank you for sharing this story with us
I discovered Alexandra about a year after No One But You released and quickly became a fan. Her writing brings tough subjects to the forefront and she delivers with compassion and shows respect for those subjects. The topics in No One But You are painful and the heartache of the characters is so real I could feel it myself. Quincy and Jaime have a love that has no boundaries, has tested time and caused hurt to others unintentionally, but it’s theirs and they own it unapologetically. Their journey isn’t an easy one but at the end Quincy finally knows what she wants and isn’t afraid of the what if’s.
Beautifully written story the has so many emotions throughout the journey of the characters. I look forward to reading more if this series!
No One But You
Imperfect Hearts, Book 1
By: Alexandra Silva
Narrated by: Oliver Hunt
Alexandra Silva, where have you been? This book was recommended to me and I am so glad that I gave it a listen. This story gripped me from the beginning, invested my heart in a relationship and let me want to know more! This first in the series centers around Jamie and Quincy. An unusual situation, Jamie’s ex-wife and Quincy’s ex-husband are married. But this is not what brings the two together. A long history, some happy, some sad tie these two together in a way that only love can. Early decisions kept these two apart, but now is the time. I can’t even begin to say what I loved about this book. Let’s start with Jamie. What a swoon worthy man. Not only a dad, but the best friend, good looking, attentive and his ability to know Quincy and what she needed just made me fall for him. He was completely tuned into her and able to stand by her through thick and thin. Quincy, such a great character has been through so much. Dealing with the so much, from an emotional and high pressure job, to mom to lover, she is someone that as a woman I found easy to relate to. Add in that Silva deals with life situations and decisions that are not only difficult, but with a frank, yet compassionate pen. And then the supporting cast, Willow, Dorian, Jenna, Richard and the evil Sam left me wanting more of this family. I fell in love with this book and can only hope there is more to come.
This is my first narration by Oliver Hunt, and I was pleasantly surprised with his voice. He easily had male and female voices, and with this there is a lot of emotional charge. He brought all of it out, made me feel their love, their despair and pain and happiness all with his performance. I look forward to more.

Jamie, Quincy and Richard had been friends forever, but after Jamie kissed Quincy and said nothing could happen, he was leaving, she married Richard.
Jamie moves back, but everything is different now, Quincy and Richard have separated, and Richard is now he’s ex-wife’s fiancé.
Although they struggled with their marriage, Quincy knew that she didn’t truly love Richard and when they lost the baby their marriage was really over, she didn’t get over the loss and she’d never forgotten the kiss with Jamie.
Jamie’s divorce is through and Jenna tells him what went wrong, he was always busy, but when they moved, she realised she’s always been second to Jenna, and she feels about Richard the way he feels about Jenna even if he’s not ready to admit it to himself.
The kiss they shared was the wrong time, he was leaving and didn’t want to hurt her, but what happens now that they are both separated, both in the same place, with a chemistry that is hard to deny.
Jamie’s family picks up that they are closer, seems to think it’s about time and should have happened sooner, which wasn’t what they were expecting, while Jamie and Quincy are trying to work out what they are doing and what they are to each other, Jamie wants to romance her, she deserves it, while Quincy wants what she’s waited her entire life for.
Can they make it work with everything going on, the kids, their exes getting married, everything is against them, is there right time now.
Always in the middle. A good opening description for what seemed to be the relationship between Quincy Cavendish and Jamie Anson. Delving into their history was slightly painful. Their hits and misses, ups and downs were heartbreaking. But there is also a line delivered in the story that is perfect for them: “…There are different kinds of love, Jamie. But the deepest kind is the one that grows and evolves. You have that with her.”
Quincy Cavendish has lived through the unthinkable. But she is resilient and strong. She has a beautiful heart and intelligent mind. She is so understanding and compassionate, at times I thought she was too good for Jamie. Her growth and coming into her own was amazing.
Jamie Anson was a little hard for me to like in the beginning. I wasn’t sure he was deserving of Quincy’s love and understanding. To me, he was slightly selfish. It took some time, but his maturity and realizations finally won me over. He’s not perfect, but his love for Quincy is undeniable.
Their journey is not an easy one. It’s beautifully complicated to say the least. There is love and loss, family and friends, good times and bad. But their love and their story is worth the travel. It’s a wonderful debut from Alexandra Silva.
“I told myself that we were friends, we weren’t. We were something else entirely. We weren’t friends and we weren’t more than friends. We were something somewhere in the middle. Always the middle”
No One But You by Alexandra Silva is a friends to lovers romance that will pull at your heartstrings. It was a truly beautiful story of heart ache and loss, betrayals and lies, and healing through strength and love. I enjoyed how author Alelxandra Silva reminded us that life is complicated, messy, and rarely a fairy tale, and so is love. She gets real and I totally loved the vibe.
If you’re looking for something real, raw and emotional, a journey to finding one’s soulmate, than No One But You is just the book for you! Enjoy xo
Heartbreakingly beautiful. Alexandra Silva is an author to look out for if you want a super emotional read.
P L O T
A story about loss, hurt, love and healing. This may have been the most true to life experience fiction book I’ve ever read. Sure, not everyone could relate, but the drama and story line is for everyone. (Not for all ages, obviously) This story doesn’t just talk about the love between our two main characters but it involves the people that surround them. How their decisions affect their families and friends.
As complicated as their situation may be, I don’t think it’s impossible in reality. We fall for the most unexpected person at the most unexpected time. Sometimes we think we’ve gotten over the person we once loved or we thought that wasn’t even love but the world works in a way we can never understand. If two people are meant for each other then they’ll be together in this life or the next.
C H A R A C T E R S
For our two main characters, it’s been a long journey filled with hurt, anger, confusion, complication, but in the end it’s always going to be about love. Love will always find its way.
I love how every character has a fault and they admit to their mistakes and mishaps but no matter how painful and wrong their action was I couldn’t find it in myself to hate them because they have their reasons for doing what they did. Its the chain reaction. One person lacks or fails to do his role then the party affected will be drawn to doing things that may be wrong. However, the blame game isn’t to be played but accepting and understanding our mistakes is the way to go.
W R I T I N G
Such a wonderful story written in the point of view of two people who are clearly meant for each other but the odds are always against them.
Nothing is over done, no exaggeration in reactions, the characters are faulted perfectly, the time and place is perfect. The medical terms may have overwhelmed me a bit. The story wasn’t even rushed. (No disappointments here.) I felt every emotion; every hurt, every pain, the laughter, the love. I cried a couple times. For situations where I clearly could not relate to, I didn’t feel disconnected instead the author made sure I could understand what is going and how it’s affecting the character.
I can clearly see the author has done her research, thought about every dialogue and every character so well. Which is why I love this book so much.
O V E R A L L
I have no regrets for reading this book because I knew this was something I’ll be emotionally invested in. I thought it’ll just be a second chance romance (World knows I love a good second chance romance) but it’s so much more than that. I finished this book with an open mind, open heart, new knowledge and understanding to the world and the people.
I cannot wait for ‘Someone Like You’, it’s about two couples in this story too but their own journey is just beginning. It’ll be another emotional roller coaster that I’m only too eager to ride.
At the beginning, I was a bit confused trying to get to know all the characters and their relationships. The main characters Jamie and Quincy threw me for a loop as well as those can be either gender. Once I got everything sorted though, it really is a great story of love rekindled, even though it was obvious the first time around.
I’ve added a new shelf to my list: debut author. Some days I am blessed with authors asking me to read their book babies. Some times they are just ‘babies’ in the world of publishing. These are special because they are often finding their voice. This debut has a very strong voice.
From the blurb, I was in. Huge sucker for second chance romance. Throw in older adults (i.e. read as over 25) and I am ready to read. Quincy and Jamie have been circling each other for years. Each marrying (settling) and having families. But now is their time.
But this is more than just a love story of second chances, this is a story on how to make lives fit when the puzzle pieces are worn or brittle and need tender care. With ex’s that – well, that’s a story – that create unique tension to the work environment stressors, the reader will find them rooting for the characters to have their happily ever after for their new blending families.
I enjoyed the drama without being rung out. This author has found her voice and will get better with each story she shares. 4.5 out of 5 stars.
I won this ebook in a fb group and couldn’t wait to get into it. I love the cover. This book definitely brough out the feels. You would never have guessed this is a debut novel for Alexandra. It was well written and had me wanting more. The characters were well developed and you couldn’t help just feel like you knew them. I definitely recommend this book.
No One But You takes you on an emotional journey that starts in very the first chapter. I really enjoyed how the author unraveled the story. It sucked me right in and is still holding pieces of my heart. I connected to Quincy right away. I seriously disliked Richard the whole time. Jamie was a slow burn for me and I have such affection for him. I swooned over they way he loved Quincy. I really liked the secondary characters and felt like they added a lot to the story. Quincy and Jamie have undeniable chemistry and a deeply seated connection that felt very magical to me. Absolutely loved this book!
I gave this read 5 stars, as I totally loved it from beginning to end. It’s reality in itself how people who are meant to be together eventually end up together. Through everything they always find their ways back to each other. Jamie and Quincy’s story is a match made in heaven. I was not expecting the outcome at the end but it shows us that our hearts and our minds grow to changes. It’s an emotional story that has you feeling sadness, happiness, joy, love and gets intense with the two of them. Thank you for an awesome story about Jamie and Quincy. Hope there will be some more on them in the near future.
This is the debut book for this author and it is obvious she has taken great pains to create a polished, well thought out story. This book deals with some issues that could be triggers for some people but there is a clear warning at the front.
Quincy, Jamie and Richard were all friends growing up, the connection between Quincy and Jamie being very special. After he leaves to continue to study in America Quincy and Richard grew closer and eventually married after Jamie came back with his fiancée and then settled into married life. They all specialised in various medical fields as well as keeping the couples close.
Great character descriptions and building up, especially the lead characters Quincy and Jamie. There are many layers to Quincy and Jamie labels them expertly as he knows her the best of anyone. Jamie..ah..if you could bottle him you’d be worth a fortune!
The secondary characters are worth a mention too, Jamie’s sisters are terrific and provide a light relief in the story, I’m really hopeful they will get their own books.
The storyline is solid but the book was just a tad long I felt and it slowed the pace down slightly. There is plenty of drama and even a bit of action which does make you go all ‘Team Quincy’! Passionate scenes of intimacy that were either really hot or endearing. You experience a big range of emotions throughout the story, both along with the characters and for them. Great ending!
This is my first read from this author and I was highly interested after reading the blurb and fully invested in this story from the first chapter.
“I knew about the ice queen. I could melt her, but hurricane Quincy? God help anyone that got in her way?”
These characters completely got me hooked on this story.
I highly recommend this book to everyone but I am letting people know to beware that there may be some triggers in this book.
Jaime and Quincy. Two souls that were made for each other. The connection they have is powerful even when their not together. Their friendship, their respect of each other as doctors and their love for each other families is written so beautifully. They journey down a path of getting to know who they really always wanted, each other. I love this story, I love their family. I loved all the emotions and couldn’t get enough. I can’t wait for what Alexandra has for us next. Bravo!
5 Star Review by Jodi for Ruby Red Romance Review
I loved everything about this story. I loved Jamie. She’s such an amazing character. My heart broke for her, but at the same time she was able to work through things. She knew very early on she married the wrong man. Then when tragedy strikes that becomes more apparent. Jamie is stronger than she sometimes gives herself credit for. I loved that about her. I loved how hard to fought not to love Quinn, but she’s loved that man since before she knew she should.
Quinn, god, where to start with this man. He wants to do right by his daughter, but at the same time he wants to be there for Jamie. Knowing that Jamie was to young for him, he moved on with someone that wasn’t right. Now, finalizing his divorce he knows his focus should be his little girl, but it’s hard when the girl you have loved forever loves you just as much. Add to that that your ex-wife is now engaged to your best friend’s ex-husband and you have the makings for one messed up family.
I loved how Jamie and Quinn handled every situation they were handed, and they were handed some pretty ridiculous things. It showed just how strong they were as a couple and as people in general. There were parts of this story I didn’t like. One part involving a secondary character and Jamie. I really disliked how Jamie was treated by this person. But it again, it showed overcoming and being the bigger person in life.
Alexandra Silva is an amazing author and it book is one I will read again and again. I loved every single second of it. In real life I’m a nurse, so I loved the medical aspect. She hit everything on the head with that. I love when a medical story is true to life. This book was fun, witty, romantic, sad, and heartbreaking but I wouldn’t trade a single second of my time reading it. Please check it out.

Quincy Cavendish had her life turned upside down when she lost her baby boy and then her husvand left her. Now she is getting her life back on track while being a single mom to Pippa until her ex-husband announces he is about to marry her best friends ex-wife.
Jamie Anson is getting a divorce since his ex, Jenna, slept with his best man, Richard. Together they have a daughter, Molly, and he is struggling with everything going on around him.
Yet with everything going on Jamie and Quincy are once again drawn together and must figure out if they are ready to give love a shot. But will they receive support from those around them or will everyone around them sabotage them and make them think twice if they are meant to be.
This was a great book dealing with the heartache of losing a child and the breakdown in your marriage because of it. It’s also about picking up the pieces and finding a way to go on and find love again.
I really liked Quincy and my heart broke for what she went through with losing Theo. It was so ironic that she ended up with Pippa after everything that happened. I hated her ex Richard and as the book went on I hated him more and more after other things were revealed. I was shocked at the stuff that happened between Quincy and Sam and I was blown away that everyone worked together.
I liked Jamie as well but I knew he had different issues with Jenna and it was linked to what Quincy went through with Richard. The links between everyone were huge but it made sense as everything fell into place and as they went over the events of the past that shaped the future.
I liked how everything slowly came together but there were so many hurdles for everyone. There was tension with Jenna’s pregnancy and I was curious to see what was going to happen with that.
The end blow up between Quincy and Sam was huge and I was super curious to see what was going to happen and I loved the decision that Quincy made! – By Rebecca
No One But You

Review by Danielle for Janise’s Jivin’ Book Blog
No One But You is about Quincey Cavendish. She is a Cardiotoracic Sugurgeon in a London hospital. Jamie Anson is neurosurgeon at the same hospital. Quincey and Jamie fall in love and start living together.
I have never read anything By Alexandra Silva or have I read anything that has taking place in London. It was good read. I couldn’t get into it at first, but as it went on it got better. It is a very long book.
For a debit author, I’m impressed with Ms. Silva’s ability to tell a story and keep readers involved and interested. The boning was slow and lagged a little and the characters had a couple extended periods of being overly whiney but otherwise we’re will developer and loveable. A second chance romance with a lifelong love after living in complete hell on earth with ones they both knew was wrong for them but didn’t think they had a chance with each other. Lovely story and the sweet little girls made the story complete.
