I had a great time with this book the characters interesting with a storyline that flowed smoothly from beginning to the end.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
What a great book to escape the quarantine pandemic of this coronavirus time…i.e. No Home Like Nantucket by Grace Palmer! There are so many emotions executed in this storyline that kept me entertained. The reality of a family losing their loved one, an unexpected pregnancy, romance galore, a marriage in the skids, and a tragedy unforeseen.
Life on Nantucket for the Benson family gives us all insight into the happenings of running an inn, fisherman’s excursions, and life on an island with family drama. The mother, Mae, runs the inn after losing her husband of 41 years from a boating accident. Brent, the son, who has a hard time after his father dies as he blames himself for the accident. Elisa, a daughter, who finds herself with an unexpected pregnancy. Sara, a daughter, who helps her mom at the inn and has a budding romance with Russell, acquaintance from her childhood. Holly, a daughter, who comes home after leaving her children at a summer camp to reflect on her own life with her husband, Pete.
I thoroughly enjoyed No Home Like Nantucket even though this book has a cliffhanger ending, and I will surely be reading No Beach Like Nantucket, and No Wedding Like Nantucket! This is my voluntary review and honest opinion of an advanced reader copy of this book by Grace Palmer!
A first installment.
I don’t appreciate it when a book is not labeled a cliffhanger
I assumed it had an ending.
I will not continue
Of 5 stars I would give it 7 stars. Enjoyed the characters and the whole story.
Read this one (offered free) and bought the rest of the series. Very enjoyable.
Terrible way to end the book
Fairly predictable writing and characters. Not sure about continuing the series.
I enjoyed every minute
I really enjoyed this book. The story was so realistic and could happen to any family. It is a story of loss, love and caring. A mother has to be strong for her family but still has to grieve in her own way. There were happy ending for some of her children and life lessons for all of them.
This book lacks a conclusion. Expected to continue with the next book in the series. I did not.
The characters are fairly well fleshed out but there is so much in the stories that require the reader to suspend credulity. I kept thinking to myself “oh come on”.
Well written and the characters are amazing. A book every woman can identify with.
This book is written by a con artist writer…you read the whole book, invest your time and she does not give you an ending!!! will never read anything written by her again and will tell everyone to NEVER read anything by her!!! Shameful and disgusting and very poor writing!!! UGH and ICKY!!! A no star from me!!!

I enjoyed the story, but I did not like that there was no definite conclusion!
I really enjoyed this book. Well written. I do not like cliff hangers, hence low review.
I liked that the author explored each character which ensured that the reader was able to identify and/or relate to one or more characters in the book.
Likes this book so much I bought the rest of the series.
Wonderful family legacy beach read!
