On Ember’s first day at the veterinarian office she watched half the single women in town try to get the attention of her boss. Doc ignored them all and stayed cool and professional, but the longer Doc was around Ember the harder it was to ignore her. When secrets from Doc’s past show up and threaten everything he cares about he has to decide what is really important to him. I received an advance copy of this book and voluntarily left a review.
He’s stuck in stasis, she’s the clumsy new vet tech.
Gray Caldwell is the foxy veterinarian in Heart’s Edge. He just hired the young, clumsiy, shy and awkward September “Ember” Delwen. He’s ice and control and almost forty. And he’s hiding secrets. She’s the recent college grad vet tech who is great with animals.
Secrets that come to fore with the arrival of his past mistakes, Fuschia (the Black Widow) and Everett Peters.
For a sleepy, small town, there’s a lot of unsavory sorts about and Gray “ Doc” is determined to keep the town and Ember safe from his past mistakes.
Recommend for the evolution of Ember and Gray.

A brooding vet doc and a shy vet tech. What a combination? The suspense and the intensity of the story was top notch. The storyline was spot on and was well executed. The love and passion between the characters were strong. The small town loyalty was great. The many twist in the plot gave it an edge. The ending was absolutely beautiful.

Wow! What an amazing story! The characters just came alive and drew you in. The chemistry between Gray and Ember was blazing. I loved how he wanted to protect her, and she could read his moods and open him up. The suspense in this book just kept me turning the page until I reached the end. This is a must read!

I volunteered to read an advanced copy of this book. Great book, great storyline, great characters! Extremely well written! Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book!
Well, this was far from what I expected from the title but very interesting with a lot of twists and turns. Poor Ember escapes her life for a new start and comes to this very small mountain town. She is a vet tech and secures a job with the town veterinarian, Gray. She is shy, a bit intimidated with him and is a consummate klutz often tripping over her own feet. Gray has lots of secrets from his childhood, military career and his work with what turns out to be a very dubious employer. He is neck deep into some big unexplainable events in the town. She becomes curious about strange people who keep showing up and Gray gets very intense and secretive with his whereabouts. She begins to follow Gray and subsequently the odd people and is now embroiled in it. What happened to the quaint little town? It starts a little slow but picks up enough for me to read until 2 am to finish it. You won’t be disappointed!

Welcome to the small town of Heart’s Edge where it is not your typical small town flare. Heart’s Edge has had some major crime activity come through in recent years and it appears to be making another pass. Ember moves to Heart’s Edge for a couple reasons. One, to get experience as a Vet Tech as she has recently graduated from college. Two, her Dad has passed away and she was having trouble moving forward, a clean slate should offer that, at least she hopes. Dr. Caldwell is the vet that hired Ember, he is the town catch but he has some serious skeletons in his closet. This story is so intricate in all the different levels and details that it winds together to make a great read. Can Dr. Caldwell leave his heart out of the equation? Can he protect Ember from his past? Can Ember and Doc find HEA after everything?

The Heroes of Heart’s Edge series continues with this standalone book, No Good Doctor by Nicole Snow. I just love Nicole Snow’s writing because of the deep characters and wonderfully descriptive scenery that sets the tone for the stories. No Good Doctor is filled with so much sexual tension that you can cut it with a knife. Sexy, hot and over the top delicious I just couldn’t put this book down. Nicole Snow is a magnificent storyteller and will leave the reader on the edge of their seat. No Good Doctor is 5 brightly shining stars!!
Dr. (Doc) Caldwell is the only veterinarian in town. He’s tall, gorgeous and single and women bring their pets in to see him even when they aren’t sick. Too tormented by his past Doc politely dismisses all the advances made by the ladies in town. September (Ember) Delwen is the new vet tech in the small town of Heart’s Edge. She’s not going to let her gorgeous intimidating boss scare her off, or the female jackals that flock to the animal clinic with their pets. Ember knows that there is more to the quiet brooding man and she can’t help but want to be more active in his life. Doc doesn’t want the clumsy innocent girl to get hurt by his past that seems to be coming back to haunt him, but Doc just can’t seem to keep his hands off the beautiful firefly of a woman that has brought light to his world.
Who would think a peaceful country town would be hiding anything esp something very evil. It takes a while to find the what & how Doc, a local veterinarian is involved in all this. Women flock to the practice just to see him bringing their pets as an excuse. Of course he’s immune due to his past. That is until sweet, innocent, naive & young Ember comes to work as his assistant. She sees something beneath his tough exterior & tries to delve deep into his past.
When people from his past reappear in town Doc does everything to protect her but she has other ideas & gets involved as do others in the town.
I was quite surprised as to all the intrigue & suspense going on in this. But I’m not revealing anything about that! The buildup with our protagonists was good & when they finally gave into temptation, it was one hot read! The banter between them was interesting with her trying to help him & move on with his life.
The secondary characters were great & even though I must have missed the first book with Haley & Warren but I was still able to keep up. No doubt the other characters will get their turn.
I kept wondering if the tale was fantasy but yet there could be truth in all the revelations that unfolded.

Phew, a smoking, hectic, come to healing loving…
An innocent but beyond beautiful young girl comes into the life of a veterinarian in a small town but he was also a vet from Iraq & then way beyond that, some seriously crazy stuff, with so many scary secrets he tries hard to hide. She is younger but beyond accomplished, having incredible affinity with all the animals & like a sixth sense but even moreso she’s so attuned to him & fits in immediately to make his life so much easier but can he succumb to his desires? This is off the charts hot but I cried, laughed so hard at times I had to grab many tissues but hubby brought wine so I’m great. LOVED this cute, beyond scary story with a klutzy but cute young girl that brought this scarred alpha male to his knees. Highly recommended. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.
I just couldn’t put this one down!!! I had to see what was going to happen next and I completely enjoyed the ride.
Doc, animal doctor, broody as all get out, intimidating through and through with “if looks could kill eyes”. Mysterious. Hot. Single……did I mention Hot? And let’s not forget insanely tall and add a dose of gorgeous. That’s Doc Caldwell, Gray, as we learn a bit later in the book. Small town vet has all the local jackals (lol-women) surrounding him. Not a sick pet in sight, they just want to be in his sight. He ignores them all.
Ember, his new vet tech, an accident looking for a place to happen until there is an animal in pain. Then she is as smooth and confident as the come. She has eyes and sees how hot her new boss is but she knows she doesn’t stand a chance. Not only is is older than her, he’s so good looking she just stumbles whenever he’s close or heaven forbid their hands touch while working on a animal. She is just a klutz with a capital “K”.
Mystery and suspense surround these two as they orbit around each other. He has a nickname for her, “Firefly”. Be still my heart. She sees how good he truly is underneath the grumpiness he shows to everyone. Get on board and enjoy this ride as these wonderful characters come together to save their small town and each other.
Another fantastic read by the great Nicole Snow. ***I voluntarily read this book and this is my honest review.”
I voluntarily reviewed an arc of this book.
This is a wonderful story, it’s fast-paced and incredibly well-written. The storyline is original and packed with secrets and drama. I really liked the chemistry between the characters. Loads of sizzling steam there. Highly entertaining, can’t wait to read more by this author.
What an awesome book by Nicole Snow in the Hearts Edge series. I loved how these characters and how their love story developed. Doc and Ember have a slow burn romance that will keep you emotionally attached. Ember is the answer to helping Doc to begin living again after his tragic past and while that past returns to try to destroy their small town.
As always Nicole Snow gives us such a great romance to fall in love with. This book is a beautiful HEA with no cliffhanger and can be read as a standalone.
This was a fabulous read. Gray and Ember were Interesting characters and they had amazing chemistry. The story was well written with a storyline that was filled with secrets, intrigue, action, suspense, twists/turns, humor, emotions, steam and love. I enjoyed this book and highly recommend it!

Dr. Gray and Ember have you sitting on edge in this story where nothing is as it seems. Dr. Gray is the veterinarian that have all the women flocking to his office. He is back in town trying to put a difficult past behind him. All is going well until a woman from is past shows up. Now his assistant is caught in the middle of what is going on with him and the woman from his past. Will he be able to keep her safe
and his past where he wants it which is behind him? I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.
I really enjoyed this book. It pulled you in from page one and it doesn’t let you go until it is done. Ember and Doc were a great couple and since he is a vet, you get a chance to meet some patients of the 4 legged variety and who doesn’t love that. Their story was very well written and you will root for them to get their HEA. This book can be read in one sitting and you won’t want it to end. I can’t wait to see what may be next from Heart’s Edge.

This older man, younger woman book can be read as a standalone, and it also follows No Perfect Hero, which is Hayley & War’s story. They make an appearance in this book, but this one is all about Ember and Gray (aka Doc, the town’s vet). Heart’s Edge is a funny little town. On the surface, it’s a cute small town, it below the surface, some other things are going on that very few people know about. There are some funny parts (the jackals), some weird parts, some action and and adventure, and also a young woman who falls in love with a cold, gruff older man, who lets his guard down with her. I really enjoyed this well-written story, slowly-revealed plot (which kept the tension up), and slow burn of Ember and Gray. Great small town story. Hoping Blake is up next!

FANTASTIC EDGY Page Turner!
OMG! Talk about riding the edge! This read is fantastic. You don’t just read it you literally see it unfolding with such a realistic feel it’s utterly mind blowing. An intense magnetic pull with passionate hot chemistry that had me blazing through the pages straddling the edge of my seat filled with anxiety and endless excitement running short on fingernails now I’ve got to get my nails redone. Amazing dialogue filled with emotions. I loved this read and want to give it more than five stars.
