This is the second book in the series “Heroes of Heart’s Edge”.
It is a well written book about secrets, regrets, hope, friendship love and desires. It is a suspenceful romance that pulled me in from the first page and didn’t let me go until the end. It is a standalone book with no cliffhangers and a HEA. I highly recommend this series.
I voluntairly reviewed an ARC of this book.
Ember applies for a job in a small town as a vet’s assistant. She loves animals and needs a change of scenery. Dr. Gray Caldwell hires her sight unseen for his practice at the Menagerie and so her adventure begins. Ember has no idea that she’s about to be plunged into the mystery that surrounds the handsome hulk of a doctor as thick as the townswomen who yearn to capture him as their own. But Dr. Caldwell has no time or interest in these man hungry women who bring their pets to him with imaginary illnesses just to try and capture his attention. Dr. Caldwell is more interested in hiding his past and keeping his town, Heart’s Edge, and the residents’ safe until Ember……. Ember has peeked his curiosity and her curiosity leads her deeper and deeper into the doctors past and his secrets. The chemistry between them is strong and even the doctor can’t ignore and deny it. When danger rears up again he is determined to keep Ember safe as well as the town. Together they battle with the evil forces that would destroy their town. Can they win and get their HEA? Doc and Ember’s book was so intense, sweet, and oh so steamy.

It just draws you into the small town of Heart’s Edge. Even though you may be frightened of the nefarious going ons, you still dont want to leave the beautiful town.
I am beyond excited to see what comes next.
Will the Single father bachelor fall first or the mysterious Nine. I personally, am ready for anything.
I highly recommend this book.

Sexy, fun, emotional and engaging romantic journey filled with lots of witty banter, interesting charters and undeniable passion… was a fun summer treat from beginning to end. Really enjoyed this fun and exciting adventure.
The writing is fantastic with an outstanding story. Doc and Ember have this amazing chemistry that is felt throughout the story. I loved Ember’s sense of humor. She is funny, charming, intelligent and feisty at times. Doc is a brooding alpha male that is just fantastic. The story has mystery, suspense, drama, and hot romance. It draws you in and keeps you glued to it until you reach the end. It is a story that lets us see previous characters and boy do they add to the story. Blake makes me laugh at times with his personality. It is definitely worth reading. I voluntarily review an advanced reader copy of this book.
This book is fantastic and brilliantly written with a storyline that is flawless, funny, witty, and very interesting. It grabs your attention from page one and holds it until the very end – not one boring page to be found. It is emotionally deep and action packed with drama, suspense, betrayals, mystery, passion, conflicts, and sizzling chemistry between the characters. Definitely recommended!

Dr Gray Caldwell is the vet that runs The menagerie he cares about all animals and isn’t that impressed with all the women that beat a path to his door. He has a dark past and will do whatever he needs to in an attempt to keep it away from his new life in Hearts Edge. Then he employs a new vet tech sight unseen and Ember (his firefly) starts to have him thinking about a new life for himself When his past puts Emma in danger he will do whatever he needs to keep her safe as ell as the people of his new town
I loved this book! I loved the connection and bantering between the characters. I was on the edge of my chair while reading to see what secrets were revealed. Loved their chemistry! A definite must read! Check it out! I am voluntarily leaving my review after reading an advance reader copy of the book from the author.
Doctor Gray Caldwell is the town vet and he hires Ember as his assistant. Ember is in her friend’s small home town looking for a fresh start. Gray is handsome, older and women chase after him. He is cool to any that try to be with him. Ember is young but Gray is attracted to her and he’s not cold with her at all. Will Gray’s past military secrets cause problems for them? This was a slow burn, interesting read with mystery and suspense thrown in that made the story really wonderful to read.

September or Ember, is the new vet tech for Doc or Gray Caldwell. He’s the most eligible bachelor in Heart’s Edge, but this little firefly of a woman is about to break through his rough and brooding exterior. Doc and Ember have a slow burn romance that sizzles with the perfect amount of heat.
This book is full of suspense, danger, romance and dark secrets. Doc’s past is threatening his future and things from years ago are brought to light and lead to a thrilling and suspenseful journey. I loved these characters and more of the back story of the town Heart’s Edge. A perfect HEA ending with no cliffhanger.
This is another Heart’s Edge book and it features Gray “Doc” Caldwell and Ember Delwen. In my opinion, the story REALLY starts at the bar scene. That is the first time we see Ember act like the 25-year-old woman she is. Throughout the mystery and suspense of the whole Galentron fiasco, this extremely unlikely pair find what we’re all looking for. It’s the getting there that was the hard part.
The action and mystery are amazing! The characters were fantastic! The intimacy is beautifully detailed and almost poetic. I adore the writing style of this author and I can’t wait for more.
Written in an upbeat way with dual POVs, this romance starts of with cute, clumsy, adorable Ember’s first day as a veterinary tech working for drool worthy, super controlled alpha hunk “Doc”/Gray. Ember’s internal dialog is quick, witty, self deprecating, but always sweet.
I liked the way she was dedicated to her job and wanted to prove her worth even though the pet owners were only interested in Gray. Her small stature in comparison with Gray’s super hunky physique added to this cute coupling.
I also liked the way the author added some dark history, intrigue, and mystery to Gray. More than just a fluffy romance, this storyline was entertaining and easy to follow. Enjoyable from start to finish!

Nicole Snow takes us back to Heart’s Edge and this time we meet the most desired man in town, Doc Gray Caldwell, the local vet. He cares about people and their pets but underneath it all, he has a dark secret that’s about to come to light. That’s where Ember comes in. She’s new in town and she’s his new Vet Tech. Innocent, clumsy, and accident prone … oh and nosey or should I phrase that as overly curious, she uncovers a can of worms that could destroy everything the good doc has been trying to keep hidden. This was a remarkable new storyline to me. Full of suspense, totally raw and emotional, pulled me down the rabbit hole and wouldn’t let go until the very end. Congratulations Nicole Snow on a job well done.
This is a beautiful love story about an older man/younger woman, first and foremost, and secondly, a powerful tale of two people finding acquiescence within themselves and with one another. This was an amazing and entertaining read with some suspense, arson, murder that will keep you captivated and glued to the pages of this story. Doctor Gary Caldwell (Doc) is a veterinarian for the small town of Heart’s Edge. Doc was very handsome, tall, most eligible bachelor, sexy, and very swoon-worthy for every female in the small town to try to win his attention. September (Ember) Delwen was hired as Doc’s vet tech. Ember is young, petite, fragile, clumsy, but Doc couldn’t help to be drawn to the firefly, sassy, clumsy, and obstinate beautiful woman that was complete opposite of him. Heart’s Edge had secrets or things that happened that the town’s people would not talk about, and little did they know that Doc had some secrets that no one was aware of in the small town. Will Ember find out about Doc’s secrets? If the town’s people found out, would they be willing to oust him from the town? Find out what the secrets could be—I was flabbergasted with the unexpected revelations that happened, but it is jaw-dropping good! NO GOOD DOCTOR was everything I hoped it would be—emotional, angsty, intriguing, and beguiling from the beginning until the end. There are several twists and turns within the story that makes it interesting. Nicole Snow manages to weave some suspenseful plotlines centered on romantic ideas with artfully developed main characters. The storyline is fluid, and it will pique your interest. Highly recommend this book.
Oh my god – where to start – I love Nicole – she is awesome! I couldn’t put the book down, from one great chapter to the next. This story is about Doc Gary, Ember (September) and of course all the crazy folks in the town of Heart’s Edge including Warren, Grandma, Ember’s Mom, Blake and his daughter’s snake which is a hilarious scene. Doc is well known in town not just because he is the only vet, but because he is also handsome and single. Ember is a hoot as she is the new young tech working for Doc who is also a virgin and over 15 years younger than him, but she takes a good liking to him and becomes his Firefly. There is an attraction that Doc tries to fight off, but overall gives in as he has made a point to protect her. Of course, just like in No Perfect Hero, this book has its drama, mystery and action as only Doc holds all the secrets to this town that involve Fuschia and Everett Peters and Nine. I love to say more, but I am afraid I’ll give the whole story away. There is a lot that needs to be answered for justice to prevail.

Ember moved to a small town to start her career as a vet tech. She has family in town and doesn’t need anything else, until she meets her boss for the first time. She can’t decide if she hates him or wants him?
Doc is the local vet in this small town, but he has lots of secrets and doesn’t let anyone get close enough to figure any of them out. Until his new employee walks in his door and he can’t keep his mind off of her. Then she manages to break through his walls and he falls off the cliff hard and fast with no stopping until she is in his arms.
Gray and September have an awesome working relationship, but when they start spending more time together they realize they can’t deny the feelings they have for each other. Now Firefly needs to break through his walls and Gray needs to open his doors and let her in.
I love Nicole Snow!! Her characters have depth, her stories are interesting and well paced, and she can write a steamy scene. She certainly did that with this book, unfortunately, not until half way through the book. Gray and Ember were so in their own heads, their inner dialogue became redundant and unnecessary. I found it hard to get into the flow of the book. If you stick with it, there is a great story here with some twists, turns, drama, and redemption. I can’t wit for the next book!!
Where do I find a vet like Gray??? No Good Doctor is a small town big romance story filled with secrets, danger, and a longing so strong you can feel it with every turn of the page. Gray and Ember’s story was deeply moving with all the plot twists, vulnerability, longing, and lust floating around. I really loved how it all developed and the things happening around them had me hooked!
This book can be read as a standalone and I recommend it as a great place to start. This was an easy read with minimal drama, other than the danger, but a love that will stand the test of time. I highly recommend that you jump right in and get started now!!
The book has well developed characters that are engaging with plenty of chemistry. The storyline has an easy flow making for an entertaining to.e.

This is No Good Doctor written by Nicole Snow. We are once again in Heart’s Edge. Ember just moved to town and started a new job at the veterinary clinic working for the brooding and silent “Doc”. Most of her day is spent seeing healthy pets with single mom owners that are only there to try for a few minutes of alone time with the hot vet. Doc, or Grey Caldwell, has many secrets and does his best to avoid all of them. But its hard to avoid his beautiful new vet tech, Ember. We get into some of the deeper town secrets that have been hinted about in the two previous books set in this small town. Can Doc avoid attachment with Ember? Can Ember get the broody Gray to look at her as someone besides an employee? I always enjoy Nicole Snow’s writing and I cant wait for the next book to come in this sleepy little town.
