Can this skeptical player let down his guard long enough to let love into his life, or is this forbidden romance a train wreck in the making? Ryan James doesn’t believe in love. It’s a truth he learned early in life. A truth he carried with him into adulthood. He broke his golden rule one time, but Myndi trampled all over his heart, cementing his belief that love is a lie and not worth the … love is a lie and not worth the effort.
Now he’s returned to his cynical views and promiscuous lifestyle, racking up more notches on his bedpost than he can count.
Until Summer Petersen comes crashing into his world, threatening to knock down his walls with her tempting body and sunny, sweet personality.
Summer is determined to lose her V-card before she starts freshman year of college, and the hot, older guy with the cute dimples, dazzling smile, and rippling biceps is just the man for the job. Ryan doesn’t take much persuading, and he rocks her world, giving her a night to remember.
When they walk away, there’s an unspoken agreement it was a one-time thing. Ryan doesn’t do feelings, and Summer doesn’t want to be tied down at eighteen.
But when she moves into her brother Austin’s apartment, she’s shocked to discover her new roomie is the guy who recently popped her cherry.
Ryan can’t believe he slept with Austin’s baby sister, and if he finds out, he’ll literally kill him. Keeping their hook up a secret is nonnegotiable. Keeping his thoughts, and his hands, off Summer, less so. Because the longer he’s around her, the more he finds himself catching feelings for the gorgeous brunette.
Summer doesn’t want to care for her older brother’s best friend, but Ryan makes her feel things she’s never felt before, and she’s slowly falling under his spell.
Embarking on an illicit affair behind Austin’s back has train wreck written all over it, but provided they keep their feelings in check, they can end this before he ever finds out.
It’s not like either of them is in love.
Right?
This is a full length 80,000 word STANDALONE new adult romance. Not recommended for readers under the age of eighteen due to mature content. This is the second book in a duet, although both books can be read as standalone romances as they focus on different couples.

Another impossible-to-put-down book by Siobhan Davis! This story follows some of the characters in When Forever Changes, and it was nice to see some of them again. I had high hopes for the Myndi character (for obvious reasons) and while I pictured things going in a different direction, I was ultimately satisfied with where she ended up.
One of the things I like most about books by Davis, is the way her descriptions make you feel like you are really there and really seeing or feeling what she’s describing. I’m almost automatically immersed in whatever world she creates, from sci-fi to romance. Each of her characters has a strong presence and the characters in No Feelings Involved were no different.
We get to see more of Ryan, from WFC and we meet a new person within that circle of friends, Summer. Summer is Austin’s sister and probably my favorite character in the book. I love how she is so open and honest about everything, and how extremely confident she is. Most 18 or 19 year old college students don’t have as thought out of a plan as Summer and I think that makes her someone to look up to. I adore books with strong female characters. Ryan is great as well. My heart breaks for the pressure and blame he put on himself over situations that he couldn’t control and had no fault in.
If you enjoy stories with heartbreak, redemption, angst and romance, you will LOVE this book. I do recommend reading When Forever Changes first, but they are both stand alone books and can be read at any point.
No Feelings Involved is Siobhan’s next standalone novel. If you read When Forever Changes then you might remember Gabby’s brother, Ryan. This is his story!! I liked him in her book and totally fell for him in his. I actually didn’t even read the synopsis but when I saw his name in the book I was so excited. I always read the synopsis before I write my review so no spoilers this one explains a lot so I will make this quick. No promises though.
Summer doesn’t want to start college as a virgin. She doesn’t want to lose it to some frat boy who doesn’t know what he is doing on a drunken night out. She also doesn’t want to be tied down so she is on the hunt for an older experienced man who will make her first time a night to remember then walk away. She found just the man. Ryan. Just Ryan. He checked off all her boxes. Hot, older, sweet, and wants just one night. And oh what a night it was…
Ryan didn’t see her coming. His new roommate. His best friend and business partner’s little sister. Summer. He was fucked. It’s been a month since he was with her. He hasn’t even been with anyone since then. He never thought he would see her again. And now, she was living in the room next to his? Yep. Fucked. Fucked because he wants her again. And again. Too bad she was off-limits.
Summer wants to have the college experience. Frat parties. One night stands. Even stressful exams. She always wants Ryan James. Can she have it both ways? Can they have an exclusive friends with benefits deal until it feels too much? Ryan doesn’t believe in love and she isn’t ready for it. It’s a win-win, right?
I loved this book! Siobhan always brings the drama! The perfect amount of it. It’s not too much to drive me crazy. It’s just enough to keep the pages turning. I loved the characters too. Summer is blunt, sassy, beautiful, and sweet. Ryan is swoony, funny, and a little broken.
Overall…I couldn’t put it down! It gave me all the feels. In Siobhan fashion…the twists. It was also great catching up with previous characters.
Quotes:
“I have a pretty spectacular ass,” Summer says, wiggling her butt and winking. “I’d stare at my butt too, if it was possible.”
“Is this your girlfriend?” Myndi asks, her tone hopeful as she pins Summer with an eager smile.
“She’s mine,” Billy cuts in, strolling into the room like he owns it.
“The ball’s in your court, Ryan. But plan your move carefully, because the next move is your last one.”

Only Siobhan Davis can take a book that makes you ugly cry so hard like When Forever Changes and then create a spin off that is so light, fun, and absolutely amazing. Don’t get me wrong, this is still Siobhan so of course there is unexpected drama and little heartbreak. Like always, there is nothing simply or easy about Siobhan’s books. They are all complex, gut wrenching and absorb you so completely you can’t take a breath until the book is done.
Now don’t think you need to read When Forever Changes to have a complete grasp on this one. It simply gives you background on Ryan’s sister and her story (which is one of the hardest and loveliest books I have ever read!) But really, missing a Siobhan Davis is a very big book sin.
Ryan and Summer’s book is simple and easy Siobhan perfection.
No Feelings Involved was WHOA, WOW, so dang good!!
Super sexy, but filled with all the right emotions to keep the pages turning and keeping me up way past my bedtime, rising early, and reading through every possible non-working moment of the day because this book was soooooo delectable.
Summer Peterson is starting college in the fall. Growing up under the watchful eye of very protective brothers who barely gave her a chance to breathe. Summer takes the chance while visiting her college over the summer to finally lose her virginity. Never once did she expect the one night stand, that thankfully led to not exchanging her name, to become her roommate when she begins classes in the fall. This should be an interesting year living with the man who took her virginity and her overly protective brother.
Ryan James never expected to see Summer again. She was a beautiful memory, that although kept playing on repeat in his mind, wasn’t supposed to show up on his doorstep a month later, much less be the kid sister of his best friend and business partner, Austin. Ryan isn’t about to throw away everything he’s worked for for a one night stand, even if he hasn’t stopped thinking about her. Ryan just isn’t a long term kind of guy, not to mention Austin would kill him if he ever found out he’d touched his sister. It won’t happen again, his job and his friend mean more than any woman.
As the school year kicks off and Summer’s electric personality attracts everyone to her side, it’s easy to see why her brothers worked so hard to keep her in a bubble. Ryan has a hard time keeping away from her himself, even when he knows he is the last person who should get pulled in by her magnetism. He doesn’t do feelings, but somehow he can’t seem to stay away. As much as he wants to let Summer be with someone else, he can’t let go of whatever pull he’s feeling towards her.
Summer wants to experience everything college has to offer and that means not getting tied down to anyone in particular. The last thing she needs is complications, however, she can’t seem to keep her mind off of one sexy roommate. When Ryan seems to have the same trouble, she decides to take matters into her own hands. Offer him an agreement; No feelings involved, but they should be able to enjoy the benefits of living together, right? She needs an education and he’s just the right man for the job. Everything should be simple, but sometimes life doesn’t exactly work out the way you want it to.
Ryan and Summer’s push and pull is electric, steamy and completely off the charts! But, some of the best moments in No Feelings Involved are when they visit Ryan’s family and his nephew instantly falls in love with Summer. If you’ve read Siobhan’s other books you’ll love the catch up with past characters and the interaction will make you smile so hard. Billy, his nephew, completely steals the show and if you haven’t fallen in love with Ryan by this point…..oh sigh….he’s such an amazing book boyfriend. I’ve loved Siobhan books before, but No Feelings Involved might be topping them all for the #1 spot.
I just love reading Siobhan’s books as they take you along on the journey with the characters and you feel all the emotions along with them. I was fortunate for the first time to have no interruptions and read her book in one day
Bear with my review this time round as I wrote comments as I read, so might be a bit jumbled
“I am smitten, and you’re sexy as hell.”
Now if that statement does not make your mind spin then I don’t know what will, phew!!!!!!!
OMG Ryan, wish I had meant someone like him too, such a gentleman, but damn nasty in the best way possible.
What are the odds at how they cross paths again, absolute nerve racking.
I love the hilarious statements that come out of nowhere but leave you giggling “You can look after her until I’m old enough to marry her,” —-“But promise you’ll treat her like a princess because my daddy says every boy should treat every girl like that.” lol you will surprised at the age of the person saying these statements
Loved it that we got a glimpse into previous characters in Siobhan’s catalogue, Gabby and Slater’s HEA and there extended family.
Wonderful book. Not only does it read well, but it tells you what is going on totally and even end with the future included. Loved this book.
Whoa.
Siobhan’s books are always soooo…epic.
So much goes on. So much emotion and love is written into one book. I absolutely adored reading about Ryan and Summer. I laughed with them, i cried with them and i smiled with them. I would highly recommend this book.
Happy reading!

Note: I have voluntarily read and reviewed and ARC of this title.
Summer is ready to put her virginity behind her and she has a plan. She wants a guy who is a little older, one who is experienced, one who can make her first time good for her. On a visit over the summer to her future campus, she finds the perfect guy and her first time is even more than she could have hoped for. Ryan is not a relationship kind of guy. He doesn’t believe in a forever love and the one time he did give love a chance, he got burned. Now he’s happy with one night stands. So when he and Summer spend the night together they both go in without expectations; no feelings, no ties. He will make her first time special, she will be his for one night and one night only. But when Summer moves into her brother Austin’s apartment and meets his best friend, they know they have a problem. Ryan is Austin’s best friend. And as much as they try to avoid it, there is something undeniable between them. Summer doesn’t want a relationship at her age, Ryan doesn’t believe in relationships at any age, and if Austin finds out he may kill them both.
I love that this book started out unexpectedly backward. Sex first, feelings second. Sex initiated by a female. A confident, happy, intelligent, beautiful young girl who knew her own mind, controlled her own body and owned her own decisions. There was no whining, no angst, no second-guessing or guilt. Summer was the young woman we should all aspire to be. And while Ryan may have been a man-whore, he never led women on, used or abused them. He was content with his choices and didn’t seem to be consumed with wracking up higher numbers. These two characters were well-adjusted and well suited. This book could have fallen into several tropes; older/younger lover, forbidden love, big brother’s best friend love. It fits all of these but then again, it doesn’t. It’s a fresh story because of the characters. They are delightful. All of them. Summer brings a positive energy that captivates, Ryan consumes, Austin is a perfect big brother, Miley is adorable. The families are so great I want them to adopt me. Catching up with Slater and Gabby and their kids was beyond wonderful. Let’s all just admit Billy is going to be a heartbreaker! Some of the friends left much to be desired and Myndi will never be welcome in my world again but I adore the rest of this group.
Be warned while this book is much lighter than Siobhan’s normal stab you in the heart and make you bleed out before you arrive at the HEA it’s plenty emotional. I laughed, I cried, I fumed. There’s sexual tension, pure heat, hurt, and humor. It’s a story of misguided decisions, damaged feelings, and forgiveness. But mostly it’s a true romance. There’s so much to love. There’s so much love. Love of family, love of friends, and of course, forever love.
If you’ve never read a book by Siobhan Davis, then I highly recommend No Feeling Involved. You will be hooked, just like I am. This book took me an emotional roller coaster ride and left me with a big ole smile on my face. I’m not going to leave any spoilers, but I will say Ryan and Summer are two of my favorite characters of all time. Summer may be eight years younger than Ryan, but she is one female that has her act together. She knows what she wants and she doesn’t take any crap from her brothers or her best friend. Yes, I cried reading this book, but I loved this book and I would give it more than five stars, if I could.
I received an advance reader copy of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.
A one-night stand with a big twist!
Ryan & Summer get the surprise of their life in this book. Her brother is his best friend, and oh boy! Neither wants a relationship at all. Ryan and Summer have a very deep connection, though. The electricity just flows off of them. He got hurt really bad by his ex. Can he ever open his heart? Ryan has had a misconception all his life about his mother. What these two go through is frustrating, but so very good. Summer is very mature for her age, so wise beyond her age. A well written book with a great story line. Every book of Siobhan Davis that I have read I’ve loved.
After reading When Forever Changes, this story is so different, so lighthearted, although it’s not. Summer Peterson is an incoming college freshman looking for a fling and finds it in Ryan James. They enjoy a passionate night together and go their separate ways, never to cross paths again. But when Summer’s living arrangements fall through, she moves in with her brother to find her hot fling is her new roommate and her brother’s best friend. It starts off light enough with some sneaking around but things get serious fast when life throws Summer one curveball after another.
She does a lot of soul-searching to find herself while Ryan wrestles with his fear of commitment. They both struggle with the age gap (she’s eighteen, he’s twenty-six) and the forbidden element of the relationship. This started as pure lust but now they fear this is turning into real feelings for one another.
They have a compelling story but there’s a lot more going on here than just the romance. There are lots of family dynamics and Summer’s friends have some odd stuff going on that affects her in a big way, all of which affect the MCs and help shape the action. I liked both characters immediately and understood their reservations. There was a nice balance of angst and decision-making without being melodramatic or drawn out. These two have great chemistry and are drawn to one another no matter how hard they fight the attraction.
There’s a twist about halfway through which isn’t much of a shocker but then things took an unexpected turn and caught me by surprise. There are a lot of supporting characters but Davis paces things nicely so it’s never overwhelming. I enjoyed Summer and Ryan’s story very much, especially the epilogue. Getting to see so many familiar characters from the previous book in the series is always welcome and seeing them years into the future is especially satisfying.
I love Siobhan Davis’s books! I was so excited to be able to be an advance listener of this book. It was a sweet, and at times steamy, read with a bit of anguish. The tropes were a brother’s best friend (a favorite of mine) as well as age gap. I absolutely loved Summer. She knew what she wanted and went after it, even if she felt she had to hide it from others. Ryan grew on me quickly. Their romance just squeezed my heart. I broke a couple times. This is one I’ll listen to again!
Dash Coleman and Lia Holland are new to me narrators. They were perfect for this book. I loved their performances as the book rolled like a movie in my head. Their voices are easy to listen to for long periods of time. I will be looking for more from them!!
*I listened to an ALC of this audiobook and this is my voluntary and honest review.

NO FEELINGS INVOLVED is a big brother‘s best friends romance and the first book by Siobhan Davis I’ve read. It’s sexy, sweet and heartfelt, with a pinch of angst thrown in – and a virgin heroine unlike any I’ve met before.
Summer Petersen is the youngest child of four, and the only daughter to boot. She’s mature for her eighteen years and decided to ditch her V-card before going to college. Her plan is simple: Find an older, attractive, experienced guy who knows what he’s doing that agrees to a no strings attached night of unbridled passion. Fast forward, and she meets her oldest brother’s best friend, Ryan James, her new roomie, who is none other than her one-night stand …
Summer isn’t interested in a serious relationship since she is still so young, and Ryan has been burned in the past, making him not believe in relationships – let alone love. So it shouldn’t be a problem to keep their secret and be amicable with one another, right? Right …
Equally tough and bubbly, Summer is a lovely heroine, a typical teenager, yet mature beyond her years, being the youngest with three overprotective older brothers. Ryan on the other hand was more closed off and somewhat jaded, and I loved watching his resistance to their undeniable chemistry crumbling, him overcoming their eight-year gap and his general aversion to relationship. Then there are those stolen, forbidden moments they share which only add to the overall allure and thrill of their journey.
A flirty, fun turned touching, emotional love story wonderfully narrated in dual style by Dash Coleman and Lia Holland, who were both new narrators to me, both adding to the complexity of the characters even more.
This book is full of feelings you can’t help but feel. These two characters think they can have a one night stand with no feelings and they do until Summer moves into her brother’s house and sees who her new roommate will be. Ryan her one night stand. They both agree to keep that night to themselves because Summer’s brother will kill them if he finds out what happened. Well staying away from each other is harder then they thought and boy do things get hot and steamy behind the brother’s back. The only problem is their feelings grow more and more and before long they have a hard time hiding them. You honestly must read this story it was awesome as usual when it comes to Siobhan’s books. This was definitely a great book and you won’t be disappointed so go read it.
Book 2 in the Forever Love series, thus is Ryan & Summer’s story – Ryan is Gabby from book 1’s brother.
A secret that causes so many misunderstandings, I laughed and cried and wanted to punch Ryan often!
Siobhan has a knack of completely drawing you into her stories, like you’re a bystander watching everything unfold – what more can I say other than I loved this book
Much like book 1 in this series, this is an emotional rollercoaster! Holy smokes!
I loved Ryan in book 1 so I was excited that he has his own book! And wow, there’s so much more to him than I was expecting. And Summer is awesome. I love her. The chemistry between Ryan and Summer was instant and it was sizzling! So hot. I loved the push and pull. It was sweet and sexy and heartbreaking and heartwarming. I loved seeing some of the characters from the first book and getting to know some new characters. This was another read that will pull all the feelings out of you. And it was so good.
This book is full of laughter and tears. There were times I couldn’t breathe from laughter and times I cried my eyes out. I loved getting wrapped up in Ryan and Summer’s little world. Siobhans writing is so enchanting and gripping that once I start I can never stop. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would.
Loved this book.. was good to find out more about Ryan and follow his story after reading when forever changes! I love Summer and Ryan as a couple and was routing for them the whole way through hoping they would overcome the obstacles & heartbreaks in their way .. a beautiful romance
4 stars for No Feelings Involved by Siobhan Davis. This is book 2 in The Forever Love series. I am a big fan of Siobhan Davis and this book is a reason why. Ryan doesn’t believe in love, he just does one night stands. Summer wants to lose her virginity before she goes to college. She finds the perfect guy and has the night of her life. What happens when she comes face to face with him again in the worst possible place. He is her brothers’ best friend, business partner and now her new roommate. They are extremely attracted to each other but decided they can not let that attraction go any further. Will these two realize what they have together, or will they let it fall apart.
