Can this skeptical player let down his guard long enough to let love into his life, or is this forbidden romance a train wreck in the making? Ryan James doesn’t believe in love. It’s a truth he learned early in life. A truth he carried with him into adulthood. He broke his golden rule one time, but Myndi trampled all over his heart, cementing his belief that love is a lie and not worth the … love is a lie and not worth the effort.
Now he’s returned to his cynical views and promiscuous lifestyle, racking up more notches on his bedpost than he can count.
Until Summer Petersen comes crashing into his world, threatening to knock down his walls with her tempting body and sunny, sweet personality.
Summer is determined to lose her V-card before she starts freshman year of college, and the hot, older guy with the cute dimples, dazzling smile, and rippling biceps is just the man for the job. Ryan doesn’t take much persuading, and he rocks her world, giving her a night to remember.
When they walk away, there’s an unspoken agreement it was a one-time thing. Ryan doesn’t do feelings, and Summer doesn’t want to be tied down at eighteen.
But when she moves into her brother Austin’s apartment, she’s shocked to discover her new roomie is the guy who recently popped her cherry.
Ryan can’t believe he slept with Austin’s baby sister, and if he finds out, he’ll literally kill him. Keeping their hook up a secret is nonnegotiable. Keeping his thoughts, and his hands, off Summer, less so. Because the longer he’s around her, the more he finds himself catching feelings for the gorgeous brunette.
Summer doesn’t want to care for her older brother’s best friend, but Ryan makes her feel things she’s never felt before, and she’s slowly falling under his spell.
Embarking on an illicit affair behind Austin’s back has train wreck written all over it, but provided they keep their feelings in check, they can end this before he ever finds out.
It’s not like either of them is in love.
Right?
This is a full length 80,000 word STANDALONE new adult romance. Not recommended for readers under the age of eighteen due to mature content. This is the second book in a duet, although both books can be read as standalone romances as they focus on different couples.

5 PHENOMENAL STARS!! This is my favorite story by this fabulous author. Ryan is delicious in everyway possible. Summer is beautiful and so mature for her age. This story has so many feels, sexiness, angst and page turning events. Looking for a phenomenal book….. look no further, here it is.
If you’re familiar with Siobhan Davis, then you know she’s known for weaving soul crushing angst into her stories, and while No Feelings Involved has its share of that, I would describe Ryan and Summer’s love story as poignant. They are both such strong and likable characters that you can’t help cheering for them. The message here is that love is selfless, and with it comes hope and healing and a perfectly imperfect future.
As always, Ms. Davis delivers a wonderfully written and beautifully crafted story that never disappoints.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Omg I loved this book so much. I thank you, Siobhan for writing such a beautiful older man, younger woman romance. The age difference isn’t too crazy—he’s not old enough to be her dad—so do not worry about that if an older man isn’t your thing. It’s totally my thing and I would love to see Siobhan wrote another story with a larger age gap, starring me and James Kennedy perhaps… 🙂
Anyways, I immediately loved Summer because of her carefree attitude that perfectly matched her beautiful name. Ryan was also unbelievably hot and I loved witnessing his character growth. It was easy to relate to Ryan and his bitterness, and I felt as though Ryan and Summer were my real life friends.
The drama was what had me staying up way too late last night and it was worth every moment! Once I made it to the epilogue, I congratulated myself on making it through this story without crying but then Siobhan had to throw something in the epilogue that got me good. She never fails to mix things up.
Do not pass this one up and definitely pick up When Forever Changes at the same time because there’s quite a bit of Gabby and Slater in this. I absolutely loved both and I know you will too!
I received a copy and volunteered to review it.
When I read the blurb for No Feelings Involved, my first reaction to it was “This is going to be a drama fest.” With an eighteen-year-old female main character and a twenty-something male main character, I figured that it would be arguing, sex, more arguing and more sex. Then I started reading the book, and I couldn’t have been more wrong.
When I first started reading No Feelings Involved, I did think that the plot was going to focus more on sex than on an actual storyline. The beginning didn’t help what I thought either. Summer ison a quest for someone to pop her cherry only reinforced those thoughts. But, as the book went on, the focus was less on the sex and more on Summer and Ryan’s relationship. I couldn’t get enough of it.
There weren’t any dropped/missing storylines. All the storylines were wrapped up by the end of the book— even the ones I weren’t expecting to be wrapped up. There was also zero lag in the book.
There weren’t any major plot twists in No Feelings Involved. There were a couple of minor ones that happened at the end of the book (involving Ryan and Myndi). I should consider those major. It explained why Ryan acted the way he acted with Summer after what happened.
I liked Summer, but she made me wince a couple of times at the beginning of the book. I thought that she was a little too honest with her parents and brothers. Other than that, she was fine. I did like that she was mature for her age. I don’t think I could have handled it if she had been one of those clingy main characters.
I did think that Ryan was a creeper at the beginning of the book. I mean, he knew Summer was young and still went from it. But, the more I got into the book, the more I liked him. He had been hurt so bad by Myndi. It wasn’t until the party that I even began to understand how badly he was hurt. But, it wasn’t until the end of the book, that I realized what she did and how it affected him.
There were a few characters that I didn’t like. Myndi, for what she did to Ryan and then letting people think what they did. I was so angry at her that I wanted her to be real so that I could smack her. Jordan was on my list because of how he acted. I did have a clue with him, though. Hannah because of how she acted after she found out about Jordan. Some friend she was. Pfft!! Charlie and Austin because, well, they were idiots. I understand being protective but man, but they were over the top.
No Feelings Involved was a fantastic fit in the romance genre. There was no Instalove, thank god for that. Summer and Ryan started as InstaLust. That leads to feelings. Ryan’s speech towards the end of the book had me in tears.
Ryan and Summer’s sex scenes were amazing. The sexual attraction and chemistry that those two had were off the wall. The first sex scene was awkward for me because of why Summer wanted to have sex. The author did redeem herself, though, with the other sex scenes. They were insanely hot. I had to fan myself a few times while reading.
The end of No Feelings Involved was excellent. I liked that the author had a few epilogues. I shed happy tears during the last one.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.
Siobhan Davis, easily and quickly became a go-to author for me after I read her Kennedy Boys series two years ago and I have read every book she has released since then. I love her writing style, her characters, her ability to write in various genres without shying away from difficult and heart-wrenching topics.
No Feelings Involved is a complete standalone, although characters from another book do appear in this one. However, I had not realized that until I was reading this and it dawned on me when I recognized their names – neither book is tied together and both can truly be read as complete standalones (no overlapping stories or underlying plot that even connects the two books).
No Feelings Involved is definitely one of her more sweet and romantic reads without lots of drama. While I am not a fan of sweet, sugary books without a bit of suspense or drama added in, I was wholly vested in this book from start to finish (hell, I read in one day).
I truly enjoyed Summer. She’s a very strong and independent woman who has to hold her ground with 3 older, overbearing brothers her whole life. I love her family’s outlook on life and that they hold nothing back, speak their minds and don’t hold grudges against one another – I love their family dynamics.
Ryan also comes from a very loving and strong family, however he tends to keep to himself and has a hard time believing in love. You can tell he’s had a few bad moments in life that gave him this view point since he’s surrounded by great values.
I love how Ryan and Summer meet; I enjoy their story and how their lives intertwine by fate or sheer luck (depends on how you see it). Siobhan does a great job of keeping this story very real and authentic. Nothing is truly over the top dramatic and it feels as though this is something you could truly see happening in real life.
I really enjoyed this book a lot, despite not being a fan of sweet, sugary romances without the suspense and drama added in. Just goes to show you that with great writing and amazing characters, you can easily win over any reader.
I really enjoyed this book. I loved Summer and Ryan’s journey. Something about a wounded man and a Virgin coming together is such a spark. There was determination, stubbornness, feistiness, banter and overall sexual attraction between them. I thought the story was well written and had a nice flow to it. It was a book that you just kept reading because it was so good. I would defiantly suggest this as a must read!
I did not want No Feelings Involved to end and read in one sitting.
Absolutely loved both characters and Ryan and Summer work really well together. The chemistry between the two is beautiful.
This incredible story has a beautiful message entwined within the story that many will love.
Another great novel written by Siobhan and age is only just a number.

No Feelings Involved is another fabulous story written by author Siobhan Davis. It tells the story of Summer Peterson and Ryan James. Summer is 18 years old and she will soon be starting her first year at the University of Delaware. She doesn’t want to start her first year a virgin, so one-night Summer goes out with her best friend on a mission to lose it. She doesn’t want to wait to fall in love. She just wants a one-night stand with someone older who knows what they are doing. She meets Ryan and they are so hot together! He takes good care of her and they have an amazing night.
Summer was unfortunately unable to secure housing. So, she moves in temporarily with her brother, Austin, and his roommate, James. When her brother introduces her to his roommate, Summer is shocked to see who’s standing there.
No Feelings Involved can be read as a standalone romance. Even though this is true, several of Ms. Davis’s characters, from her other novels, do appear within the storyline. If you are like me and enjoy knowing the backstories, I recommend reading her book, When Forever Changes. Just know that it’s a suggestion.
I absolutely loved Ryan and Summer, and I recommend adding it to your TBR list!

What happens when a guy falls for his best friends little sister? Ryan is happy with his bachelor life not willing to trust relationships until he meets his best friend’s sister. The bro code says to stay away but the heart says to go for it. Summer is heading to college and is eager to explore her newfound freedom to have a relationship with no feelings involved. Then she meets Ryan, her big brother’s best friend. Can Ryan stick to the bro code? Is Summer able to keep her feelings from becoming involved in her relationship? As they try to answer these questions, they will experience the emotional highs and the all-time low of allowing someone into your inner heart. I highly recommend No Feelings Involved. As a member of the ARC Team, I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
I wanted Ryan’s book the moment Gabby’s book ended. I rooted for him and Myndi and actually hoped that they will be together at the end. I do not want to spoil anything for anybody, so I cannot say what happened in real, but I enjoyed the Ryan’s book very much.
Siobhan Davis is THE author for me. Each of her new releases I anticipate with a lot of stress, because she has written so many perfect love stories that every time she announces a new book I feel a bit of afraid as I do not know if there is a storyline she hasn’t written already. I am afraid that one moment there will not be a story that will make my heart sing in anticipation to read it (that happened with Tijan for me). Up to date it hasn’t happened yet.. the same is with this book.
It wasn’t easy at the beginning. I struggled a bit. I felt like I was letting down my favourite conteporary romance author by not being able to read the book in one breath (in most cases I read her books so fast that I do not sleep at all), but the book took me around 50% mark and after that I finished it in one breath!
I did not like Summer at the beginning, but I fell in love with her at the end. Their story is somehow very usual, but still fresh.
She did it agaid! Siobhan Davis captured my heart again!
Even though, the best of the best for me is Inseparable, but this is also very good story, just not so heart-wretching as Inseparable, but this one is perfect in other way, and I love it!
* I received an ARC from the author’s team. The expressed opinion is my own.
Siobhan Davis brings her best in this angsty, heart pounding gem in No Feelings Involved. Ryan is the sexy, successful player who has no trouble finding someone to fulfill his needs, yet his heart is on serious lockdown and he is convinced it will stay that way forever. Summer is the free spirited, sassy college girl who is not afraid to open her mind and heart.
A one night stand with no strings becomes anything but. With multiple coincidences heading their way, Ryan and Summer become unlikely roommates. Their chemistry undeniable; the air crackles with sexual tension whenever they are near. However, Summer is forbidden fruit and Ryan tries everything in his power not to take a bite. Summer’s ability to get under Ryan’s skin makes this very difficult.
Love, loss and second chances are beautifully written themes throughout. A steamy, page turning roller coaster of emotion not to be missed!
oh man this book! My poor little heart was beating fast through most of the book from the suspense of it all. I kept turning each page to find out what was going to happen next. The book sweeps you through the love story of Summer and Ryan and keeps you guessing as you go. I wanted to hug and smack Summer at Ryan at times, but it was so refreshing to read a book with characters that were so real I felt like they were right next to me this whole time instead of in a book.
The romance is breathtaking. It deals with a couple battling an age gap and the social altercations that come from that. I loved being able to experience it along side them and cheer them on as I turned each page. It was all so magical and I loved every second reading the book and even after. I can tell this will be a night I get no sleep, not from staying up to read the book, but because the story is still so ingrained into my mind I won’t be able to shut my mind down.
If you are looking for a book that will keep you reading until the very end full of tons of swoonworthy scenes, steamy jawdropping sexual encounters, romantic suspense, and family love so intense it makes you want to run to your own family to tell them how much you love them, then this is the book for you. Grab your copy and be ready to read the whole thing in one sitting, make sure ya have snacks ready!
Another sexy, angsty, coming-of-age romance from the pen of Siobhan Davis is on offer with No Feelings Involved.
With some of the characters from When Forever Changes appearing in this book, it can still be read as a stand-alone.
Summer, about to embark on her college career, is desperate to shed her virginity and decides that a random hookup with no feelings or expectations is the best way to do it. Ryan, player extraordinare, is happy to oblige. A steamy, off the charts night follows with both of them parting ways satisfied they’ll never meet again.
Fate, and Ms Davis, has other ideas when Summer ends up staying with her older brother when college starts. Guess who his roommate/business partner is? Yup, Ryan. It’s obvious to both that their one perfect night meant more to each of them than they intended.
The resulting storyline is full of longing, emotion and angst as they struggle to negotiate a relationship, first in secret, then with the kind of twists and turns that are sure to be break many hearts, theirs included.
I was swept away by the whole tale, devouring the book in one sitting. The characters are so rounded, their thoughts and feelings just spilling from the page. This is yet another quality read from the author who is rapidly becoming one of my favourites.
I adore Siobhan Davis’s writing! Exceptional read!
When I heard this book was coming out a few months ago I went crazy. Brothers best friend trope – yes please!!! One of my absolute favorite storylines written by an author I have fallen in love with – gah I’ve been so excited. If this trope is your jam – one click now!
As always, this story involves phenomenally thought out characters. Summer is a strong, wise beyond her years, relatable heroine. Ryan’s a sexy, successful hero. Their meeting – off the charts wicked hot. The surprises that unfold – creative and unexpected! The feels – a mind, body and soul experience! The writing is articulate and absolutely impeccable. The journey through out this book is unique, perfectly paced, witty – Summer & Ryan are EVERYTHING!
I quickly fell head over heels in love with this authors work and have devoured every one of the books I have gotten. Then the count down begins for the next release. I know with utter certainty that every book coming from this incredibly talented author will be PERFECTION!
As soon as I read the blurb for No Feelings Involved by Siobhan Davis, I knew I wanted to read this! An older brother’s best friend forbidden romance? ! Sign me right up! Summer Peterson is getting ready to start her freshman year at college and wants to lose her v-card. She wants a one-night stand with a sexy and experienced man. But what she gets is all that and more!
Summer meets the perfect man to do what she wants and has a night to remember. It was supposed to be one-night stand with great memories. Imagine her surprise when she sets out to move into her brother’s place and her new roommate is none other than, Ryan James, her one-night stand! They know what happened between them should be kept a secret, but how do you hide hot and steamy chemistry like theirs?
I loved Summer so much. Though she was young, she was full of life. She knew she was not ready for anything serious, but she could not deny the way Ryan made her feel. Ryan is a sexy and assertive man, but also hides a part of himself. He knows he should not want Summer and she should be off-limits but keeping away from her is nearly impossible! No Feeling Involved by Siobhan Davis was a forbidden romance with all the feels. A story that had great characters and a story that will captivate you from start to end.
Read and reviewed for Reviews From The Heart.
Happy reading!
No Feelings Involved by Siobhan Davis is a heart-thudding, dry-mouthed with anticipation rollercoaster of a story. An angsty, full on pull at your heartstrings kind of a read. One the one hand we have Summer Peterson, a new graduated high schooler desperate to free herself of the shackles of her V-card and on the other we have Ryan James, the hot, older friend of her brother.
Ryan is a sexy take no-prisoners ladies man who has a lot of fun playing the field. On the surface he’s full of confidence and charisma, but he’s hiding deep secrets from his past that’s drowning him in misery and regret.
When Summer comes into his world, she breathes new life into it and they spend and for one incredible night together. That’s all it was meant to be, but fate had other ideas. Pushed into meeting again, through Ryan’s friendship with Summer’s brother and soon one night becomes more as they end up sharing an apartment.
The chemistry is scorching, the tension palpable and the fear of being caught out make it all so irresistible.
Summer was such a great fun-filled character and I couldn’t help but love her sunshine and sparkle. Ryan was super sexy, and even in his broody moments he kept me captivated and hoping for that quintessential happy ending. You’ll just have to buy your copy and find out.
Oh man. This book hit me right in the feels. I loved Ryan and Summer, and things were going well for them. Too well. It wouldn’t be a Siobhan Davis book if it didn’t devastate me. And that it did. I’m talking 1am sobbing uncontrollably. It doesn’t matter what her books are about, there is always something that I can relate to. Honestly, they help me work through my issues. I really love how characters in her previous books are in this. We get to see where they are at now, and it’s great to see them happy after all they have been through. Now I need to go process all this book brought up about my last relationship.
***I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary ARC of this book.***
No Feelings Involved was the kind of Siobhan Davis book that I long for. Just that perfect blend of emotions, angst, and sexy times.
Our Hero, Ryan, was featured in When Forever Changes as Gabby’s brother. He was dating someone else at that end of that book, so I fully expected him to have some baggage going into No Feelings Involved. Side note – you don’t need to read When Forever Changes before this, but it does give you some background information on the side characters.
Our Heroine, Summer, was the opposite. A new character, she brought so much life to this book. Really, Summer made this book. She knew what she wanted and was willing to go for it. Just a well written and strong character.
The chemistry between Ryan and Summer was electric, nearly tangible. Sometimes I wanted to smack some sense into their heads – but had to remind myself, these fictional characters need to learn from their mistakes and grow.
Another great read from Siobhan Davis. Be prepared for a full spectrum of emotions: happy, sad, joy, pain, relief – all the things we need in life.

Awesome read by one of my faves, Siobhan Davis! This love story has ALL the feels. I was hooked from page one and could not put it down. She’s such a great writer that this story came alive for me and I was completely wrapped up in Ryan and Summer’s world. Summer is one of the most likable characters I’ve ever read and I loved Ryan too, and holy smokes do they have insanely hot chemistry! The supporting characters are just as well-drawn and genuine as Ryan and Summer. This story is fun and exciting, romantic and sexy and altogether compelling. I really loved it.
Summer and Ryan may not have wanted to have their feelings involved, but this book sure got MY feelings involved! First of all, I fell in love with the main characters. Summer was just awesome! She’s a wonderful combination of youth and maturity. Besides being brutally honest, no-nonsense and adventurous, what drew me to her most was how down-to-earth she was. We got to meet Ryan as Gabby’s brother in When Forever Changes (WFC). This book allowed us to go way below the surface of who we thought he was before, and we get to discover that this sexy hunk is an amazingly thoughtful man and a total sweetheart! I honestly went through the entire emotional spectrum: I laughed at some rather funny scenes, cried as my heart broke for the characters, smiled like a fool as Summer and Ryan got closer, got frustrated when fear and misplaced good intentions led to dumb decisions, and got all hot and bothered from the sizzle between those two! Getting to see Gabby and Slater from WFC regularly throughout the book was a treat – I am always tickled pink when the stories from two different books intertwine. If Summer got me hooked from the first page, Ryan sunk me to the depths of this book and I was in no hurry to come back up for air.
