Can this skeptical player let down his guard long enough to let love into his life, or is this forbidden romance a train wreck in the making? Ryan James doesn’t believe in love. It’s a truth he learned early in life. A truth he carried with him into adulthood. He broke his golden rule one time, but Myndi trampled all over his heart, cementing his belief that love is a lie and not worth the … love is a lie and not worth the effort.
Now he’s returned to his cynical views and promiscuous lifestyle, racking up more notches on his bedpost than he can count.
Until Summer Petersen comes crashing into his world, threatening to knock down his walls with her tempting body and sunny, sweet personality.
Summer is determined to lose her V-card before she starts freshman year of college, and the hot, older guy with the cute dimples, dazzling smile, and rippling biceps is just the man for the job. Ryan doesn’t take much persuading, and he rocks her world, giving her a night to remember.
When they walk away, there’s an unspoken agreement it was a one-time thing. Ryan doesn’t do feelings, and Summer doesn’t want to be tied down at eighteen.
But when she moves into her brother Austin’s apartment, she’s shocked to discover her new roomie is the guy who recently popped her cherry.
Ryan can’t believe he slept with Austin’s baby sister, and if he finds out, he’ll literally kill him. Keeping their hook up a secret is nonnegotiable. Keeping his thoughts, and his hands, off Summer, less so. Because the longer he’s around her, the more he finds himself catching feelings for the gorgeous brunette.
Summer doesn’t want to care for her older brother’s best friend, but Ryan makes her feel things she’s never felt before, and she’s slowly falling under his spell.
Embarking on an illicit affair behind Austin’s back has train wreck written all over it, but provided they keep their feelings in check, they can end this before he ever finds out.
It’s not like either of them is in love.
Right?
This is a full length 80,000 word STANDALONE new adult romance. Not recommended for readers under the age of eighteen due to mature content. This is the second book in a duet, although both books can be read as standalone romances as they focus on different couples.

I just love this author!! Every time I pick up one of her romances I know I am about to embark on an emotional journey that will pull all of the heart strings. This one is no exception. We start with a hot one night stand between strangers only for the two of them to end up as roommates. Of course this makes things tense and they try to fight it but will power always seems to fail. So they set up a friend’s with benefits thing that will take them both for a ride. We get lots of heavy emotions, sweet emotions, and awe moments. Perfect for fans of fantastic romance novels. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
This book! I loved it. I love plots that take me where I never expected to go. But at the same time everything flows beautifully and the ride is exhilarating and emotional. This could have just be a forbidden romance and that’s it, but she took us on an unexpected turn where we were not imagining this book take us. Then she took another turn where characters peeled back layers and so much raw emotion was revealed. Then she brought it to a good place with so much happiness . Finally ending it with…oh no, I don’t do spoilers. But, I will say the plot plays out beautifully!!
I love both MCs so much. There was so much chemistry between them. With the sparks they felt when they touch, or how they even felt just looking at each other. Then that grew. The romance, the sex, the passion between them. He couldn’t stay away from her. I love characters with layers, like Ryan. He was complex. But a character like Summer is refreshing and unique, and how can you not like her. With these two characters and such an exhilarating and emotional plot, how could you not love this book!!
This is the kind of romance you fall in love with.

No Feelings Involved
Forever Love, Book 2
By: Siobhan Davis
Narrated by Dash Coleman, Lia Holland
Siobhan Davis has become one of my favorite authors, I’ve enjoyed several of her reverse harem romance novels and it is great to see another side of her creative mind with this older brother’s best friend, forbidden romance. Like her other books this book’s story is multi-layered and contains complex characters and storylines that are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with. The story drew me in right from the start and it captivated my attention the entire time. I adored the two lead characters, Summer Peterson and Ryan James, for different reasons neither one was looking for a commitment or longterm relationship. They first meet at a club, there was an instant attraction, Summer wanted to lose her V Card before starting college, he opposed at first but she convinced him he’d be the perfect one to do that. The two spend one, hot, no strings attached, night together no plans to see each other again. That did not stop them from thinking about each other and when Summer living arrangement changes for college her brother, Austin, offers her his spare bedroom until a spot opens in the dorm for her. She moves in and when Austin goes to introduce her to his roommate, both are surprised to see each other again, they quickly play it off and act like they are first meeting. Both know how protective Austin, plus he had already warned Ryan to stay away. They agree to stay away from each other and there could never happen again. But the chemistry between them is undeniable and they do try to resist. In addition to the forbidden element Ryan has his issues and inner demons, ones that come out to play again. There is never a dull moment in this book, the story is cleverly plotted with plenty of drama, angst, heartfelt and emotional moments, heartbreaking ones and some hot romance. Siobhan Davis, thank you for another awesome story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
And for the fabulous narration, Dash Coleman and Lia Holland are talented narrators and voice artists. They did a great job bringing the characters to life, giving each their own voice and personality. Their portrayal of the each character was spot on, sounding just as I picture them to sound. I loved how they took each role and made it their own. Lia Holland played Summer’s role with perfection, Dash Coleman did the same for Ryan. Both were great playing the secondary characters as well. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all of the characters emotions and projected them into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for the great listen

I like a story that starts out with a bang and turns into a love to last through the rough times. And Siobhan Davis has done it with this one.
Summer is on a mission to lose her V-card before she goes off to college and she is fine with a one night stand. She just has one stipulation. The man has to be older and knows what he is doing. While at a bar with her BFF and the BFF’s boyfriend, she spots a man that has his eyes on her. And the sparks are enough to set the place on fire. She knows this might be the man she is looking for.
Ryan doesn’t do the girlfriend thing, so when he sees the sexy girl dancing and she is eying him like he is eying her, he thinks this night might turn out great. He feels the sparks too but doesn’t think anything about them other than the night will be explosive. And it id for them both.
When Ryan gets back home, his roommate tells him that his little sister will be staying with them until a dorm room opens up and Ryan is OK with that. Until he meets the little sister and she turns out to be the woman that he spent the best night f his life with. Summer can’t believe that Ryan is her brother’s roommate. What is she going to do? She can’t live with them and not want to sleep with Ryan, the feelings are so strong.
Can the sneaking around and not get caught? What happens if her brother finds out? Is there a chance of a future for Summer and Ryan?
I loved this story and loved Summer and Ryan, but Ryan’s past was so heartbreaking. If you haven’t read anything from this author, start with this one or pick another. It doesn’t matter, you will enjoy the stories, I promise.

No feelings involved….wow I laughed I cried I loved this book! I loved Summer and Ryan’s book they where perfect for each other and couldn’t help but fight their attraction at first and I felt for Summer with her brothers overprotectiveness. I couldn’t put it down it was a heartwarming story of two lovers who struggle against a tragic loss and come out on the other side better for their loss. This is a must read you won’t regret it!
I really enjoyed reading this book. The writing drew me in from page one, and I found myself completely falling for the characters. In this new adult novel, Summer sets out to put an end to her ‘chastity belt’, and Ryan is the sexy boy-next-door with a body that just won’t quit and a golden personality to match.
There are definitely quite a few steamy scenes in this book. If you’re looking for a college age romance with a bit of humor and heat on the side, this novel is right up your alley.
Ryan James has never had luck when it comes to relationships. He has had his heart broken more than once and has decided to never fall in love again… that is until he meets Summer Petersen.
Summer has Ryan feeling things that he never thought he could feel again, the only trouble is that she is completely off limits.
No Feelings Involved is the sweet romantic story of two people who are meant to be together, but are forced to overcome many obstacles to have a chance at true love. This novel is filled with lots of steamy scenes and heartfelt moments. I would definitely recommend this book to fellow romance lovers!
(I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.)
Too good for one book!!!
I Fail and broke my ankle so I was a little down until I picked up this book. I loved every minute of it. Ms Davis once again take two characters and bring them to life. Summer was a combination of adventurous and maturity with a touch spicy. Ryan is delicious is the only word I can use to describe him. I was sad when I got to end of this book; because I wanted more this is too amazing for one book!!!
I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.
Once again, Siobhan Davis delivers a delightfully sinful romance that’s both wickedly sexy and full of heart.
No Feelings Involved is the newest stand alone romance from this author and I shouldn’t be surprised at all that this one pulled at my heart strings. Every time she releases a new book, I know for sure that the author will not pull any punches and will deliver all the angst, feels, emotions, take everything out of you once you’re done reading her masterpiece.
Ryan and Summer’s plan to have a one hot, crazy, mindless night shouldn’t be complicated. Ryan is trying to forget the betrayal of his ex-girlfriend by having a string of meaningless hook ups while Summer is trying to lose her V-card to the most capable guy she could find. So after that amazing night, they’ve tried to move on, only fate has other plan for them. Not only was Summer his best friend’s sister, but also his roommate. It should be easy, but that one night shook him and try as he might, couldn’t forget the feel of summer in his arms. Summer was preparing herself to the college experience: freedom from her overprotective brothers and to do whatever she wants. So when she couldn’t find a place to stay at the last minute and decided to room with his older brother and his best friend, it sure put a wrench to her college fun plan. But what she didn’t expect was coming face to face with the guy who rocked her world and couldn’t seem to forget about.
As expected, this was a page turner for me and could not put it down until the end to know how the story will go. I’m still in the beginning phase of reading taboo romances; it is not my usual go-to. So, for this story to be a brother’s best friend, taboo romance kind, I can confidently say that I have enjoyed it and felt all the way to my soul the feels that the main characters had to go through. This goes to show how talented the author is and how she mastered the art of storytelling by turning me into a new fan of taboo romances. Another great read and I highly recommend it to everyone!
Siobhan Davis has done it again with her latest book No Feelings Involved! She’s delivered an exquisite love story, heavy on the romance and steam, with an electricity brewing between the two main characters that you can literally feel as you devour each page.
NFI is told in duel POV from the two main characters – Ryan James and Summer Peterson. From the outside Ryan is a gorgeous and confident ladies man yet behind the mask he’s drowning in heartache, broken and hurt by secrets he’s been carrying alone for far too long. Summer barges into his life just before the start of her freshman year of college and is just as vibrant as her name suggests! This character is so well written and developed, you can’t help but absolutely adore her enthusiasm and zest for life. She captivates any room she enters, the perfect mix of beauty and brains.
What begins as a one time hookup ends up taking the characters (and us readers) on a breathtaking journey as they deal with the guilt and exhilaration of a secret ‘forbidden’ romance, an age gap and the stigmas that come with that, as well as the additional heavy topics Siobhan broaches throughout.
True to her incredible signature style, Siobhan ties things with an ending so good, you can forgive her for the gut-wrenching roller coaster of emotions she put you through to get there. Ryan and Summer will absolutely drive you mental at times, as will the judgements of some of the additional characters.
It is worth noting that NFI is a full length standalone however it will definitely help, but isn’t essential, to have previously read When Forever Changes, where we were first introduced to Ryan James. His family feature throughout this whole book which was lovely – it felt like we were visiting old friends.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book and rate it five stars. Thank you Siobhan! Although not as angsty and definitely not as violent as some of her previous standalones, this story was so beautiful and has left my heart a little bruised but extremely happy! I’ll definitely be reading this one again. xox
Ryan and Summer had a little bit of everything. It was funny, sexy, fiery and emotional all wrapped in one. Ryan and Summer met at a club where one thing lead to another. He’s 8 years older than her and she didn’t want to be a virgin college freshman when school started. They shared that one night and that was it. Fast forward a month later when they find out that she’s his best friend/business partner little sister. Summer took the revelation like a champ, lol. Ryan was scared out of his pants, hahahahaha. Ryan tried very hard to stay away from her but Summer wasn’t having it and the chemistry between both of them was too strong. When her brothers found out omg!! It wasn’t the best reaction. It was super terrible and made things awkward. Ryan also had a hard time believing in love because of things from his past. This caused a strain and they had time apart in which they realized that they were miserable without each other. It was tough for one of her brothers but they eventually came around. The ending was amazing and I liked how the author wrapped everything up.
“You can’t hit on her. She’s off-limits to you.”……
“So, I can kiss Summer, and you’d be fine with that?”
“Hell to the no!” He glares at me. “If you put your mouth, or any part of your anatomy, anywhere near my sister, I will throw you off the roof of this building.” (No Feelings Involved)
Another fantastic read from this author. Siobhan Davis never leaves me disappointed, only wanting more! She has a way of writing contemporary characters that draw you into their lives and you find yourself not wanting to leave. ‘No Feelings Involved’ is Ryan and Summers story. We first met Ryan in ‘When Forever Changes’, he’s Gabby’s loveable brother, and I am so pleased he has been given his own story. Plus lots of cameos from Gabby, Slater and the rest of the gang!
This is a forbidden romance, Summer is a strong-willed, independent female character….raised in a house filled with over protective brothers. Ryan, is the playboy, best friend of Summers eldest brother, therefore raising a major problem for both our leads. This book had some really loveable, laugh-along moments, as well as lots of sizzling attraction and ‘hot between the sheets’ romance, this is another read I couldn’t put down.
I love this story!
It seems all the authors I’ve read recently are on a roll to please me. Their stories are all just my cup of coffee, pouring out positivity and shouting out a big YES to life.
No Feelings Involved was a great read, I loved every minute of it, enjoyed the banter between Summer and Ryan, the friendships between all the characters, revisiting Slater and Gabby from a previous book by Siobhan Davis (another great book by the author), I can’t gush about this story enough.
Summer is such a lovely, mature, natural heroine. Finally a female main character who isn’t the victim or the one lacking self esteem or the naive one.
I love her spirit and attitude, she’s phenomenal!
And Ryan…..sigh……RYAN! (insert hearty eyes) He’s the real deal. He couldn’t be more perfect. What I like most about him is that he’s very manly but also shows his feelings, is vulnerable and fesses up when he makes a mistake. He really is a very good guy.
Not one book I’ve read by the author was disappointing. Every time I finish one by her I’m amazed how mesmerized I am by the stories themselves and how addicting they are. I love the writing style by Siobhan Davis, her intertwined standalone books, her ability to heighten the emotions and to include always a sensible topic in a tasteful way without dramatically getting hung up on it.
As always, I highly recommend to read her books!
Summer is preparing to attend college in the fall and the one task she wants to accomplish over the summer is to have her “first time”. This is not a snap decision and she has drafted a plan which includes a sexy older guy that knows what he is doing. While visiting her college she finds the perfect man, they enjoy a steamy evening and will never see each other again, right?
Ryan is Austin’s best friend and business partner. When his sister shows up to become their roommate Ryan is surprised to see she is the one night stand he hasn’t forgotten. Ryan is determined to not only keep their relationship in the friend zone but to keep their one time a secret as if her brother found out it could destroy everything.
They had the best of intentions but living together is proving to be more challenging then either thought so they agree to a friends with benefits arrangement. What could possibly go wrong?
Summer and Ryan couldn’t be more different or more perfect together. The banter is humorous, the chemistry hot and it has all the feels.
Just finished and of course a 100 star read. Loved the journey of their friendship and so nice to see the extended story of their lives. Highly recommend!! This was my first book by Siobhan but of course will not be the last. I loved the easy flow of the story. Did the one click and then read a few hours later.
I was very privileged to read a beta copy of this book.
Just like all of Siobhan’s books, it was sexy, had unexpected twists and turns, and great character development. I find it hard to comment on much specifically without including spoilers, something I always try to avoid in my reviews.
If you like her other books, then I would highly recommend this. The high I get when reading her books is pretty much untouched by just about any other author out there.
It was great to go back to the world created in When Forever Changes. I was not emotionally devastated with Summer and Ryan’s story like I was with Gabby and Slater’s, but I really loved how their story unfolded. From a one-night stand with an amazing attraction to coincidental roommates who must stay away from each other (according to him), this was a fun book! I loved checking in on the old characters while getting to know and love the new ones. Such a wonderful world and loveable characters!
Siobhan Davis is always an amazing writer who really knows how to pull her audience into the story. Summer and Ryan are a perfect fit. Summer didn’t want a relationship and Ryan doesn’t do them. Where will their explosive chemistry lead? Check out this book to find out!
Siobhan Davis is always such a breath of fresh air. Summer and Ryan are the perfect fit. Summer didn’t want a relationship and Ryan doesn’t do them. Ryan being her big brother’s best bro how was she supposed to know? It’s a new campus. Every time I read anything Siobhan Davis writes it’s over too quickly because I don’t realize how quickly I’m reading. Both Summer and Ryan were so much fun to read and the chemistry was off the charts. This book is easily 5 stars but deserves so much more.
