Aaron is drowning. After coming out as gay, he lost his parents’ approval, his job, and his sense of identity. He feels like a freak who doesn’t fit in anywhere. His last hope was his brother Josh, but Josh can’t seem to forgive him for how Aaron treated him when they were teens. Not that Aaron can blame him, because he did treat Josh like crap. All Aaron wants is for someone to accept him, guide … him, guide him, because he doesn’t have a clue. When sexy jiujitsu teacher Blake takes him in and starts mentoring him, Aaron has hope for the first time, even though he can’t understand what Blake sees in him.
Blake doesn’t do relationships. At all. He’s more than willing to help Aaron find solid ground under his feet, but that’s it. Until insecure, vulnerable, and surprisingly sexy Aaron gets under his skin, triggering all kinds of protective instincts that make Blake long for more. He wants to take care of Aaron, give him what he needs, but how can he convince Aaron of that?
When Josh’s friend-with-benefits Indy’s past finally catches up with him, it endangers them all—and leads to heartbreaking decisions for everyone involved.
No Fear is a steamy M/M romance that ends with a HFN for Aaron and Blake, but has a continuing storyline as well. It’s the third book in the No Shame Series, and is not a stand alone novel, so make sure to read the first book (No Filter) and the second book (No Limits) first. It contains hot sex, a little kink, more hot sex, very mild puppy play, and a beautiful friendship-with-benefits that transcends labels. Also: trigger warning for mentions of sexual abuse.

I loved this! What a unique series. I’m so glad I gave this series a chance.
Is 5 all the Meows I can have? This deserves many more! You do need to read or listen to this in order for full enjoyment so start with No Filter, No Limits then-No Fear.
This Aaron (Josh’s brother) and Blake’s (Indy’s Karate professor) story, but we get so, so much more. You have this budding romance, the conflict between Aaron and Josh and Indy’s ongoing storyline as well (You have to read book one to see what that is, I won’t spoil it for you.) so now we have three relationships, and several storylines, lots of twists, drama, suspense and of course sex.
Sound good? Trust me it is if you like mild BDSM, Dom/sub, hurt/comfort, wounded men, PTSD, Army snipers, medics, FBI agents and hot man-sex with very good, fast-paced plots. Now if you’re not sure about the BDSM…Dom/sub stuff this is a good start for it. It is well written, focused on the characters and relationships and overall just well done and easy to read.
I also recommend listening to the audio if possible. Kenneth Obi gives each character a voice and life of its own (Indy two). He adds excitement and tone to the book that is hard to do reading it yourself. I think it is that extra oompf!

ALL THE ANGST!!!
Prepare to be thrown into an adrenaline filled read!
Loved Blake and Aaron’s story. So sweet, so compelling.
But as Indies struggled to keep the people he love safe, we are trusted deeper into how far people will go for love, for those we love.
Amazing character building, world building and plot.
An all consuming series I just can’t get enough of.
As always, Kenneth Obi does a stellar performance in giving us dimension and emotion in every single character.
Thank you both for yet another excellent experience!
This book focused on Blake and Aaron and also on how Indy’s untenable situation is resolved. Totally riveting!
amazing!
I got sucked into the No Shame Seeies and with each book I get more and more invested in the characters, new and the original… and their story. exciting, funny, sweet and dont forget sexy. I love all the men in this story… they are all broken but beautiful. strong and protective of those they love. I definitely recommend.
This book took me on an emotional rollercoaster. The tension was truly palpable and the love these guys have for each other was crystal clear for all to see. This series has been so enjoyable, I cannot wait to read the final installment.
I am loving this series.
These men have been beaten and broken and get they still go on. Helping each other and others through their own personal struggles. Love these characters so much. A third of the time you celebrate their triumphs, another third their passion, and the rest of the time you are worried about them. What a beautiful emotional roller coaster I can’t wait to ride again.
I love this series! It just gets better with each new book! I love that there are real situations that are dealt with and the ‘family’ all these guys are finding in each other. I can’t wait for the next one and I am so glad to have been given an opportunity to read these books.
In No Fear, we meet Aaron, Josh’s brother. He gave Josh a hard time when Josh came out, so you can understand where Josh’s feelings towards him come from. However, he stays at Blake’s house, and gradually learns just who he is and where he wants to be.
This is probably the hardest book so far for me to read, simply because it talked about ‘puppy play’ which I’ve heard about, but never read about until now. The thing I love about Nora Phoenix’s writing is that none of it is written for shock value. It all plays a part in the whole story, and nicely rounds out the story arcs that continue through this book.
All of the characters are different, so you won’t get confused between the differing voices. This IS part of a series though, and definitely can’t be read as a standalone. As with the previous two books, it was excellently written, with no editing or grammatical errors that disrupted my reading. I am absolute loving this series, and the way the characters and their lives intertwine. Highly recommended by me.
Wow, this is the best yet in the series. At this rate, I fully expect the next one to blow my mind. All the different plot threads are starting to come together, and even though I absolutely love some hot sex, there is much more story and development to this one.
Aaron and Blake might be my favorite couple. I loved how we got plenty of their romantic development and Aaron’s discovery process, without overwhelming the story with sex. Them being just a bit kinky upped it even further for me.
Super excited to get more movement on the storyline for Indy’s ex, and can’t wait to find out how that all concludes.
Honestly, this whole series is a bit of a surprise for me. Lots of elements that are normally not my thing, and I would usually pass on, but somehow it works. So I recommend trying the series even if you’re a little hesitant, it might surprise you too.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy.
