FROM POPULAR YA AUTHOR JAQUELINE SNOWEBook four in the Cleat Chasers seriesA jock and a party girl teaming up—makes total sense, right? Actually, maybe… junior year and…never followed up on. The last thing she expects is an angry jock accusing her of involvement in a scam that could shake the college to its foundations.
Jeff Maddow should be focused on his senior season of baseball and not the suspicious activity happening on the team. It’s his time to shine and get drafted, but after seeing incriminating evidence, he can’t not investigate. And his first lead is the campus blogger…who’s related to a name in the document he saw.
Ambar’s been coasting, writing about campus fashion and hook-ups rather than politics and economics, but when Jeff shows up at her place spouting wild accusations, she agrees to help him just to prove the stubborn athlete wrong.
Long nights, impassioned arguments, close quarters…both Jeff and Ambar find opposites more than attract when things heat up.
more
They both are about to graduate he is all about his sports and she is all about her blogging. She wants him to be hers and he is indifferent. He really wants to be drafted and go into the major leagues. It was so good
No Easy Catch by Jaqueline Snowe is a different sports romance than the other two in this series that I have read. This time it involves a blogger who is going to report a different story than what she is was doing.
Can Ambar and Jeff uncover the truth in this incriminating scandal before one of them gets hurt?
Jeff Maddow
Jeff Maddow is the one that finds out that something is going on, and he doesn’t like it. He thinks that it is a scam involving his coach, Ambar’s uncle, and Ambar. Jeff might be wrong about that, and he is okay with that. He is falling for Ambar, and he isn’t sure why. Jeff is a senior and wants this last season to be his best. I think that Jeff is a great character. He wants to know what is going on but is also afraid. Jeff doesn’t know what might happen to his teammates and Ambar.
Ambar Hernandez
Ambar Hernandez is a blogger that is trying to figure out what she wants to do in life and what to do for her senior project for communications. The thing that she doesn’t know what she wants to do for either. So when Jeff comes to her with this idea that Ambar could use for her senior project but they get it done in time. Good thing that she is good at uncovering stuff like that isn’t easy for Jeff. Ambar has proved to Jeff a lot of times that she is good at what she does even though Ambar doesn’t think that she is.
I can relate to Ambar a lot in the fact that we are both bloggers. Granted about different things but I can understand the pressure she is under for that. I like how she handles herself, even though her family may not see her as a good person. Another thing that I like about her is that she won’t give up on something that she feels is right, which this article is.
Four Stars
No Easy Catch by Jaqueline Snowe is worthy of these four stars. Ms. Snowe has done another incredible job of bringing to life baseball and college life. I felt like I could relate to these characters, and I am sad to know that this is the last book of this series. Don’t forget to check out this book when it comes out or the others in the series!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy from the author. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

This is the 4th book in the Cleat Chaser series. Jeff is a baseball player and Ambar is a communications major and the campus blogger. Ambar and Jeff are proof that the saying opposites do attract. Ambar is working on her article for her senior project when Jeff comes to her with a crazy accusation about some of his teammates. Jeff is s willing to help her when he notices that some of teammates are not coming back for there injuries and they discover that some of them are faking there injuries. They end up getting the bottom of whatever is going on only to deal with the positive and negative results on what was really going on. If you like sports romance books this one for you.

Another story of romance in sports. Ambar is accused of malicious writings in her journalist blog and the hot guy next door believes she is writing trash. But then he realizes there is more to the story than either first believe. They investigate until not only do they figure it out, but fall in love.

When he confronts her about a scandal he thinks she’s involved in she offers to prove him wrong and clear her name. But when her uncle’s name is mentioned, she’s put on the spot. Over the course of finding information Jeff and Ambar develop a friendship then friend’s with benefits. Trust is put you the test. But the beginnings of a true HEA.

This book is a sports romance and an enemies to lovers romance also. Jeff and Amber don’t really like each other much but when they decide to work together for a story regarding scandal and the sports team, sparks start to fly. Well written and strong characters.

No easy catch is the fourth book in The Cleat Chasers series.
Ambar Hernandez is a campus blogger who usually writes about fashion but now she is going to write a different kind of blog than she is use to.
Jeff Maddow is in his senior year in high school. He is a baseball player. He has found incriminating evidence that something was going on with the team. He knew who he had to talk to about this since she knows everything that goes on at the campus.
Can Ambar and Jeff get to the bottom of things before they fell in love? Opposites do attract as the saying goes.

No Easy Catch by Jaqueline Snowe.
Enemies to Lovers and Sports Romance – the best combination ever! Seniors Jeff Maddow and Ambar Hernandez don’t like each other much. But, after deciding to put aside their differences to work together, they get to know each other and fall in love. Along the way, they break the news of a scandal in the athletic department, deal with their personal insecurities and figure out what comes next after college. Loved it!
Ambar is a communications major who blogs on campus activity, mostly fluff. Jeff’s on the baseball team, and something’s out of whack, but he can’t pinpoint exactly what’s going on. Between them, they figure out the mystery. And fall in love. This is a cute enemies-to-lovers book. As much as they don’t want to like each other, Ambar and Jeff are on a slow burn. This is my first read from this author, and it was an enjoyable book.

No Easy Catch is the fourth book in the Cleat Chasers series, and the second one in the series I have read. You don’t need to have read any of the others to get into this story.
This is an enemy to lovers story, set in the world of college with a whole host of dodgy dealings going on. To begin with, Jeff doesn’t trust Ambar at all, even thinking she has been involved with it all. He soon learns she is innocent of all charges apart from being related to one of the men involved. This was a lovely tale, with a slow-build romance threaded through the mystery. As the reader, I got to see Jeff’s first moments of realisation that Ambar was more than he had previously thought.
Although this is classed as a sports romance and Jeff plays baseball, it didn’t take over the story, and there wasn’t much there where he was actually on the field. The world is well established, with individual characters adding highlights to the story, or moving forward where necessary. The pacing was smooth and punchy when needed. I did find some words or phrases were used slightly repetitively but that’s probably just me.
On the whole, I enjoyed this book and have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone who enjoys a coming-of-age romance with sport elements.
