Nothing damaged here.
Well, Blake might be a tad bit bruised and a little bit broken, but Peace, all quirky, hippie chic comes into his life, literally on fire.
All the warm fuzzies and the feels, fire and ice (well, snow), action and some drama, it’s another fabulous Nicole Snow book.
Highly recommend.
This was a suspense romance that kept me flipping until the final page. Peace and Blake fit. But, it took Blake a while to come to terms with this. So many scars and fears had to be overcome, while really, we are our own worst enemies. This book comes with a hippie masseuse named Peace, a Silver Tongued fire chief, an angry 16 year old and her pyro boyfriend, who could be the new arsonist in Heart’s Edge, and Holt, the brother that just won’t go away.
I enjoyed this read. While I think this could be read as a stand alone, reading the other books in this series will add more depth to many of the characters and their trials. I also liked the references to Snow’s other story about Valerie, who had amnesia after an ordeal in Hawaii. I would recommend this book.

3.5 **** stars. The story was interesting. There was some mystery. Two unlikely people fall in love, she’s a healer and he’s the fire Chief. She is a hippy child revisited and he is a war veteran plagued by an injury on his last deployment. A couple of angsty teenagers. It was very long and did struggle to finish it. Otherwise, it was nicely written.

No damaged goods is great story. The storyline is intriguing and engaging. Great characters with hot chemistry.

Blake is the Fire chef of hearts Edge fire department and a single dad.
When Blake and Peace met it was definitely sizzling.” Blake Silverton could sweet talk an angel into sin”

While this is a total stand alone book as are all in this series do yourself a favour and read them all You will love the people of Hearts Edge and they will draw you into their world. There is always a little adventure and dram and a whole lot of romance in every book
This is Peace and Blakes story. She is a young woman who is a little bit of a hippie she is a masseuse by trade and has set up her business in a cabin at the charming inn. Blake is the local fire chief a single dad trying to raise a teenage girl. He is also ex military and has seen far to many things in his life. He feels an immediate spark when he first meets Peace but as fires break out in the town after her arrival he ahs to question if she is involved. Can they solve the mystery of the town and do they have a future together You will have to read to see
I just loved this book so much! Emotional, suspenseful, dramatic, this richly detailed and well written read very quickly snuck its way into my heart. I adored Blake and Peace and I thought they were just perfect together. He was totally growly and swoon worthy, while she was sunny and sassy. I felt that it was interesting that they were opposites in many ways but also had some surprising similarities. Sweet, funny, witty, heart melting and totally charming, I found it impossible not to root for these two as their story unfolded. Add in Blake’s turbulent relationship with his teenage daughter and a dangerous arsonist and you have yourself a read that engages your emotions and keeps you guessing.
4.5
This is another story in the Heart’s Edge world, but can be read as a stand-alone.
This story follows Blake, one of the Heart’s Edge heroes. He’s a firefighter, radio host, welder, and single dad. He’s the guy you rely on in a pinch and the one who dishes out advice over the airwaves to the small town folk. But at home, he struggles to communicate with his daughter, and battles with guilt and the weight of the world on his shoulders. With a constant pain in his leg that often leaves him vulnerable, he assumes no one would want to be with a man who’s damaged. Especially not the much younger spunky woman with the purple hair named Peace.
Peace is a free spirit, often describing herself as a bird flying free. But that’s only because she’s never had a reason to settle down. Even though Blake disguises his pain, he can’t hide it from Peace. And all she wants to do is ease his pain.
The passion between Blake and Peace is slow-building, mainly because of Blake’s struggle to accept that Peace truly is attracted to him. But when they finally connect, it’s fiery and explosive. It’s desperate and feral and all-consuming. And the underlying love is right there alongside the crazy heat between them.
Along with the romance, there are several storylines relating to family and friends, and tons of little moments that make you smile. There’s also a mystery that needs to be solved. Some parts are a little redundant and slow in progress- mainly the parts where Blake is overthinking things or reviewing the suspects. And even though the arsonist in the story was easy to guess and the ending climactic scene might have been a teeny bit over the top in dramatics, I read this book for the romance, the slow-burn, and the array of emotions I know this author delivers. And she did. She even added an extensive epilogue to finish things off with a satisfying, well-deserved future for the characters.
/I received an advanced edition of this book. This did not affect my opinion of the story or content of my review./
Wow, if you want intrigue, danger, steam and an evil MC involved. this is the book for your. This is an intense book with undercover FBI and a CIA agent bent on finding his daughter anyway he can. Better have a strong stomach for this book. HEA but tenuous.
I always enjoy Nicole Snow’s books and this one is no different. Good plot, good writing; a thoroughly enjoyable read.

I absolutely loved this book, it’s well-written with a fast-paced intriguing storyline. There is plenty of drama and emotion throughout this book. I really liked both Blake and Peace, wonderful characters. The interaction and banter between them is entertaining. Definitely recommend this book.
I have loved every book my Nicole Snow and this one does not disappoint!! Peace is a wildflower flitting here and there until one day her van catches fire allowing her to meet Blake. Blake has lots of guilt he hangs onto, a trying relationship with his daughter and b a injured leg that causes him lots of pain. Enter Peace…. reading this story and how she truly is her name sake!! Real page turner for sure! I also love that you see glimpses of the previous characters!! Well done or sure!

“You’re the peace I always wanted.”
This can be read as a standalone in this series of interconnected characters. I’ve been waiting a long time for single dad Blake’s story, and the wait was worth it. Blake, the unassuming welder, calm fire chief, patient father, tortured widower. His teenage daughter, Andrea, is struggling with the loss of her mother. Enter Peace Rabe, the singing healer. There was something special about this story. Blake works hard to help others but refuses to help himself; his pride gets in the way while his pain debilitates him. Peace soothes him, fixes him, understands his mean words come from a place of pain. She is strong and secure enough not to take it personally. There are these two fantastic main characters, plus all the fabulous characters we’ve met before in this series, and a lot of action-it had a whodunit feel to it. I loved how the residents of Hearts Edge take the mickey out of their “sleepy” village, as so many crazy events have taken place there. Lots of sizzle, fast-paced action, some humour banter (broccoli-who knew?), and some family healing.
Exciting, suspenseful, and full of fire, the figurative and literal. Big, strong Blake doesnt like being called a hero he is just moving forward and helping when his leg can support him. For Peace she is much her name and Blake’s guard drops around her. I really enjoyed the build of character personalities and the suspenseful danger in the story, it really is a page turner.

The author has given us characters that we can connect with. Some of the characters we have already met but we are introduced to more people that pull us into their lives. The story flows smoothly and has enough intrigue to keep us turning the pages as quickly as we can, just so we can get to the bottom of the mystery.

SWEET HOT EXCITING read!
Extra Large EEPS for the drool worthy cover that sets the imagination going wild for what’s under the cover of this hot read and let me just say you can definitely judge this book by the cover. It’s entertaining, fun exciting, yummy, hot, intense and had me holding my breath in fear tugging at my heartstrings. I got a warm and fuzzy feeling from the hot passionate chemistry. The suspense is a pain in the butt as the twists sucked me in keeping reading and wanting to get to the end from all the excitement and unexpected surprises that kept a fire raging through all the pages as the intensity flared sending the story spiraling out of control giving me no outlet but to get to the end that made all the chaos and nail biting frustration so worth every searing word with a heart melting HEA making me like this read a heck of a lot more.
This was Nicole’s best book yet in the Heart Edge series. Blake Silverton has the ability to sweet talk any women. He is the fire chief of a small town, gorgeous and a single father. Peace is a young and care free hippie 25 year old single woman, massage therapist, song writer and new to Hearts Edge. These two meet when her van catches fire and the connection and sparks fly right away. These two can’t deny there attraction to one another but will Blake be able to open up his heart again and can he trust Peace not to break it. Read this book to see what happens between Peace and Blake.

I love a good brooding hero, a broken man with a heart of gold is my weakness. Blake is a single father looking out for his daughter but has been through a lot and is wary of the newcomer, Peace, who breaks down is walls. Peace is a hippy-dippy, happy go lucky kind of girl who just wants to help. I prefer a strong feminine role but in this case it worked. The book can be read as a stand alone but there are spoilers for the first books in the series. It has a strong plot that has a solid twist at the end and is fast paced, you won’t want to put it down!

OMG another Heart’s Edge man loses his battle of the will when Peace enters his life. Peace is a 25 yr old hippy kinda gal when her van with all of her belongs and her goes kaput in Heart’s Edge. Blake “Silver Tongue” aka Fire Chief comes to her aide how could you resist a handsome man like Blake (melting). Peace gets a cabin at Charming Inn and sets up her massage table with oils and stuff as she is a kind beautiful soul and a great masseuse. Those these two bicker the batter between heat up until the ultimate kiss has them gasping…..Though things are heating up between these two so is the town as arsonist is setting fires all around. Blake needs to protect his teenage daughter, Peace and the town. Who is setting the fires? Will the men of Hearts Edge be able to catch the arsonist in time? I absolutely loved this story. The storyline was so interesting that it completely captivated me and was so intriguing that I couldn’t stop reading it until I finished with the very last word. I definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for an amazing book. Enjoy happy reading
