Action packed, emotion roller-coaster adventure filled with exciting charters, witty dialog, heart racing twists and undeniable passion. Was a great read from beginning to end, highly entertaining and engaging journey.
Loved reading the intriguing and captivating romance story. When Peace comes into town, her vehicle is on fire, she is on the side of the road freezing, and the man on the radio with the mesmerizing voice comes to her rescue, Blake, the fire chief. Even though Peace wants to get to know Blake better, he doesn’t have time for anything but his teenage daughter and his job; therefore, Peace, the massage therapist, wants to help Blake. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, full of action and suspense, and a must read love story.
I love the hunks of Heart’s Edge and their strong, fierce woman. Even though we see some characters from the previous books, each of these stories can be read as stand alones. We’ve met Blake and his daughter Andrea previously, he’s the town fire chief and overall caretaker of the town. Peace ia a free spirit healer who breaks down and temporarily becomes part of the town. The relationship goes through some growing pains, there are some plot twists and turns, overall a well paced, great addition to the Heart’s Edge collection. And you can read all these books for free with your KU subscription. Enjoy!
I received an ARC and this is my honest review.
Loved this book. Book 4 in the Heart’s Edge series and it was a great addition. Loved the chemistry and attraction between Blake and Peace. They were really good together. Great story with plenty of romance, suspense and action. Loved it and cant wait to read more from this author.

This is another great story from the quiet town in the Heart’s Edge series where it has been plagued by tragedy in the past.
“ Peace entered in the midst of Blake’s storm”
Blake Silverton is the small town’s radio announcer, welder and Fire Chief where he is concerned with an arsonist next target. A stone wall was built around his heart as he has experiencing devastating tragedies and being left alone as a single parent of a rambunctious teenager.
Peace Rabe is a nomad and her decision to spend winter in Hearts Edge, to work as a massage therapist. She is struggling with the death of a loving father as her destination resulted to the coincidental meeting of Blake.
I loved Blakes and Peace story as they fall hard for each other. But oh, the drama, chemistry these two share is crazy. I was extremely excited to catch up with our favorite characters from the past stories as well.

A world where he is broken and hurting and woman who doesn’t give up. The story is full of so much drama, suspense, mystery, and with a touch of sexy hot romance. Blake and Peace have an amazing chemistry with personalities that can be felt throughout the story. The descriptions are vivid and they can be so easily pictured. The writing is realistic so much so you feel like every character is you friend and companion. This is a must needed book to be read!!!!!!
Another great book by Nicole Snow. Although this book is long, it keeps you on the edge of your seat till the end. The is mystery, intrigue, suspense, and romance that helps to propel this book to the next level. The characters are relatable and have a great banter between them.

Sure do like small town stories at times with this one having us look more closely at their fire chief. He is enough to cause a melt down with maybe needing a fire put out. In this we follow Blake and Peace as time and time again they but heads but sparks fly from each encounter. Not just a simmering chemistry in this one but also a bit of suspense to give us a real rounded read that I adore. Danger keeps building but we keep following to see how long this will go on. Not leaving until we get answers to a few questions we will be delighted with were it drops us at.
Welcome back to Heart’s Edge this time around we meet (or get to know better) Blake and Peace. The best part of this story for me was the pure uniqueness of Peace and the balance she gives to Blake. The romance was fun to follow and watch develop even if I wanted to smack Blake a few times, LOL.
Peace is a very different character then I have read before. She is a hippie, out there in her beliefs and methods but fun at the same time. I loved her nickname of broccoli, LOL. Blake is an oblivious man, chief firefighter and single father who needs a kick in the pants. He was almost too disconnected at times. I am not sure Blake truly recognized Peace as a romantic prospect for quite awhile, while Peace was all over Blake (metaphorically). The age difference was nice and I liked Peace’s relationship with Blake’s daughter (it was better than his own for a time). I didn’t necessarily care for the daughter, she was too much for me at times but I understood her motivations (and remember her from a past story) however so I could look past her attitude.
The plot of the story was good, a mystery as with all of Heart’s Edge. The mystery fit with Blake and his job, so it was “tailored” for him. I also liked how the mystery wrapped up but would have like a bit more, I don’t know excitement? I also think that in order to get the entire impact of the mystery/you would have to have read at least a few of the previous stories, otherwise this might feel incomplete. This one was based on the town’s history and that is really explained over the past several books. I received an ARC and I am leaving an honest review. 3.5 stars.
Peace is headed towards her new temporary next masseuse job location. She’s in her ancient van and listening to the sexiest voice ever on the radio. Until the van motor catches fire and her 911 call is routed to that voice.on the radio. Blake is drawn to the pixie with purple hair tips. Once he realizes she sees his limp, he verbally lashes out at her. Blake feels that he must stay impenetrable and refuses to show any weakness. Blake has a teenaged daughter that has blocked him at every step for the last 4 years – ever since his soon-to-be ex-wife died with a brain aneurysm just as they were about to leave on a “last resort” family vacation camping trip. The readers are allowed to discover each character’s backstory with family and relationships. The ultimate question is – what does a 42 year old man do with a 25 year old woman? Is she truly an old soul that is trying to weave them together, or is she simply a wandering lost soul looking for closure to her past?
Nicole Snow has a writing gift for that, we the readers, are privileged to enjoy again and again. I absolutely love how little snippets of her other books are interwoven into this new one. However, if a new reader has never read any of her other novels, they won’t feel that they have been left out of the loop. Ms. Snow’s story weaving skills are once again shown in “No Damaged Goods”.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for gifting us with another winner.

We all know Blake from the other reads, the man who is quick to joke and make others laugh, a man who we thought was a jokester, the fun guy, but that’s not all he is, he’s a man with demons from his past, a teenage daughter who acts out, a man who is broken…until he finds Peace…literally. Peace is a woman who comes to his small town and is a massage therapist who travels from city to city looking for her “home” and she finds it with Blake…or will she…if she doesn’t break down all his walls…he will never find peace.
A great read with a slow burn for these two as they navigate a surly teen, his brother and an arsonist who is targeting his friends and him. A read with steam, some suspense, and a slow burning ember between the two until it explodes. I liked these two and how when finally Blake comes around, he doesn’t fight it and the little to no drama between them. I also liked that there were no other women, jealousies or misunderstandings between them. The story flowed beautifully and I liked that even though Blake was much older than Peace, she had a maturity about her that erased the difference in years.

Snow has done it again! No Damaged Goods may be my new favorite. Grab this book! You won’t be disappointed.
I have read a good number of Nicole Snow books but the stories from Hart’s Edge have always been my favorite!! I have loved all the characters from the town and I love that in a way most of the main men met their women the same way.
Peace Rabe is in town for the winter, setting up shop as a massage therapist. She took a drive one evening in her old, beat up van and never expected it would catch fire, especially not when she’s out in the middle of nowhere with the threat of snow looming over her. When she calls 911 she somehow ends up on the radio explaining her current situation. Blake is not only a fireman and a single father, he also hosts a nightly radio advice show in between fire emergencies. When he gets a call, live on the air from a woman who’s van is on fire he quickly calms her and tells her help is on the way but when he gets there he definitely doesn’t expect to meet Peace. His life is already complicated with the death of his ex wife and raising his boundary pushing teenage daughter that he immediately switches to being gruff towards Peace. As he gets to know her better and even lets her work on him a little he slowly lets his guard down, but as a serial arsonist reeks havoc on the town of Hart’s Edge our local hero’s and their women get pulled in the drama one again
Their chemistry between Peace and Blake is instant, even when he is closed off towards her you can see the spark. When these two finally get together it is everything! Its an all consuming blaze that you will happily stand too close to and risk being burned because they are that intense and they suck you in! I loved their story and I also loved that we got to catch up with our favorite characters from past stories and we got to meet a few new ones too!
I highly recommend this book and pretty much any other Nicole Snow book too!

One of Nicole Snow absolute best books I’ve ever read, hands down. I just loved everything about this book. The plot was engaging, the writing immaculate and incredibly entertaining and captivating, and the characters were authentic and best of all. A sexy, suspenseful and oh so unputdownable MUST-READ!! Where’s the 10 * button?
Wow, this prolific author continues to blow me away, I simply can’t put her books down once I start. (NB to self…check out the length of the book before starting at bed time!) I won’t detail the story which has been covered by the blurb & previous reviewers but I feel compelled to share that it was a remarkable story I got totally invested in, bringing out the widest range of intense emotions. Highly recommended. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.
From some embers to a big fire
Very good romance, very well written with characters who seem diametrically opposed: Peace, a physical therapist, a little hippie on the edges, and Blake, the rigorous fire chief, single father, that the past holds back from being himself and who is struggling with his teenage daughter.
Blake may spend a little too much time doubting his desires, which is a little annoying in the long run, however, at the same time, it increases a sexual and romantic tension between him and Peace. Added to this, are fires that start repeatedly in the small town, creating additional suspense. I liked the story, but I find it toot slow at first before moving on to seduction and then action.

Wow, I love reading this authors stories and getting to meet and give a little piece of my heart to some of the characters. This book, its story, its characters have stolen my heart completely and has become my new favorite! Blake is a firefighter, alpha male, gorgeous, single Dad. Not looking for anything but to do his job, find this arsonist and have a good relationship with his daughter. Peace is travelling through town when her van catches fire and she is stuck. Is her easy going, free spirited personality what Blake needs? Fate keeps bringing these two together but will these two characters catch on and explore what could be? I highly recommend this book. Enjoy!

One grumpy, alpha fire chief, one sweet, hippie masseuse and you have enough heat to start a fire. But they aren’t the ones starting mysterious fires all over town leaving notes at each one. Can Heart’s Edge come together to find the person setting fires before some gets hurt? Can Blake keep his hippie safe until the arsonist is found without losing his heart to her. Loved it!!!
This is book 4 in the Heart’s Edge series and it features Peace and Blake. First, there’s an age difference between them. He’s in his early 40s and she’s in her mid-20s and very mature for her age. They have a good vibe between them, even though he really tries to fight it. He’s really good at playing the grouch. The mystery, suspense, and action are fantastic! With all the awesomeness going on in this book, there’s a pretty fabulous romance happening front and center.
Best book in the series! Every time I start a Heart’s Edge book I wonder how in the world this author will be able to tie it all together at the end. Let me tell you that she is a master at it! I am ALWAYS left with a sense of satisfaction. BRAVO!
