From Wall Street Journal bestselling author Nicole Snow – cupid slaps some sense into one small-town protector who swore he’d never love again. Witness an ultra broody hero man coming back to life for the spitfire he can’t live without. Full-length standalone romance novel with a bold shot of Happily Ever After.

Another great book by Nicole Snow in the town of Hearts Edge series. This stand alone gave us the story of single dad Blake, aka town hero, chief of the fire department and night night time hunky radio personality! Although he is mister gruff and grumpy too!
Nicole Snow never disappoints and No Damaged Goods was no different! I loved Blake’s story and Peace was perfect for him. If you haven’t read the previous books about the men of Heart’s Edge, don’t worry, they can all he read as a stand alone but I recommend reading them all so you have all of their stories, as all the men are side characters in each book.
That. Cover.
That is the most lickable cover I’ve seen in a while. Toasted Baby Marshmallows, it’s so sweet you just can’t help but wanna’ lick it.
Once I got over that cover and actually got into this amazing story, I found myself thinking of every fire-oriented cliche there is to describe Blake and Peace. Because really, these two burn the house down. That’s it…that’s the only one I’m going to use. But I could use them all, because these two are so passionate amidst their firestorm (sorry, that one slipped) that the reader just can’t help being caught up in their dilemma. Blake’s life is focused on being a good dad while he tries to overcome past demons (and does a crummy job of it). Peace lives a very simple, humble, and uncomplicated life in an attempt to confront her past demons. Two completely different approaches to life, and two very different personalities. Yet two very big hearts–and one astoundingly deep love.
Yeah, it’s beautiful.
No Damaged Goods by Nicole Snow is the story of Blake Silverton and Peace Rabe.
Peace hasn’t felt a placed called home since the death of her father. But when she lands in Hearts Edge she starts to feel a connection. Blake is a widower, single father and the towns Fire Chief. When Peace blows into town she seem to be a lot to take in but brings some interesting things to the town. Blake tries to protect his heart from the feelings that Peace brings out but when she becomes in danger he has not other thought than to protect her.
Peace and Blake are totally opposite people who start to find their ground. Really enjoyed their story and hope to read more from this author!!
Blake is a firefighter, single dad to a teenage daughter and reluctant town hero. Peace is a woman with a free hippie spirit. When she ends up stranded by her van, Blake helps her out. The two keep meeting and even though they are different the sparks fly between them. Peace may be the only one to get Blake to open his heart to her. A good read.
I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am leaving a review.
Blake is the fire chief/single dad and Peace is a massage therapist. I loved that these two are total opposites who find love while investigating a string of fires in town. This is an emotional read filled with mystery, danger, suspense, drama, romance and a great HEA.
I dont smile this after just any book.
It takes a special author with an amazing talent. Nicole Snow is one of those authors.
I feel so hard for the town of Heart’s Edge. I felt the pain, sorrow, happiness and love of the people. To be able to read the amazing and breathtaking stories of the heros of hearts edge, to be able to see them finally become whole. Its everything.
Blake suffered for so long.
Peace gave him just that…and so much more.
I would highly recommend this book.
Happy reading!

Blake and Peace are such a great couple. I love their banter and chemistry! Their story kept me on the edge of my seat! A must have read! Check it out today! I am voluntarily leaving my review after reading an advance reader copy of the book from the author.
This was another great book in the Heart’s Edge series. This book was filled with romance and plenty of drama & suspense. Very well written, great storyline, and great characters. Very interesting and enjoyed reading this book. Loved Blake’s & Peace’s story.
I received this book in advance for a voluntary honest review. Like all of Nicole Snow’s books, this newest addition to Heart’s Edge is amazing. Blake has closed himself off since his wife died and he’s been raising his daughter on his own. Peace comes rolling into town in a blaze of fire, literally. As the fire chief Blake is at the scene and the spitfire that’s is Peace has caught his attention no matter how hard he fights it. When they finally come together it’s explosive! It wouldn’t be Heart’s Edge without danger, mystery, and humor. Sexy and intriguing. Great read!
Another hero/alpha of Heart’s Edge! Blake is such a great guy who cares the world on his shoulders. Peace is a hippy chick and a beautiful soul. I loved reading their story and catching up with old friends in HE. I hope NS keeps going with more citizens of this town!!
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
A wonderful romance read with suspense, danger, and a heat level that comes alive. I love Blake’s character, he was so swoon worthy and his intense chemistry with Peace was strong and sweet. It was highly entertaining to watch him deny the attraction between them, but when he stops fighting the loving heats up. I enjoyed seeing the other characters from the previous books and their presence adds to the storyline. I can’t wait to see who gets their HEA next.
A who done it mystery, along with with wounded souls and bodies, broken down vehicles, flames igniting all over town, and in the hearts of Blake and Peace, this is one jam-packed tale!
Suspenseful, twisted story, with a slow, hot burning romance meshing by upfront, bold characters, engaging scenery, and emotional whirlwinds!
I couldn’t get enough! The town of Hearts Edge and all it’s crazy just keeps getting better!
Can be read as a standalone, but I can assure you once you read one of Hearts Edge’s all-consuming dark and stormy hero’s, I guarantee you will want to read more!
Blake And Peace’s Slow Burn Is A Tender Tale Of A Damaged Man Finding Reason To Live For Himself Again With The Help Of A Free Spirit With Healing Hands! Some Questions Remain Unanswered.
This book is part of the Heroes of Heart’s Edge series. Heart’s Edge is a small town near Missoula, Montana in which peculiar things have a habbit of happening. Each book is rich with the history of the town, familiar haunts, and continuing glances at favorite characters. Each is a complex love story between well-defined characters and set in the midst of a new trouble plaguing the town and its heroes as history has a way of resurfacing. Crush at first sight develops into a deep love amidst danger and suspense. These smart books are beautifully written and packed with everything – mystery, suspense, danger, broken characters, and a heartfelt love story. Each may be read perfectly as stand-alone, but knowing the complex histories certainly adds to the enjoyment.
In book one, Warren Ford and Haley fall in love while battling a drug runner. Warren finds closure in the death of his sister, Jenna. In book two, Doc Gray, the local vet and most eligible bachelor, gets taken off the market by his new assistant Ember. They face danger as Gray’s former employer Galentron, a research company with a hushed local history, comes back into town and plays dirty. Book three sees the legend of Nine turn into a local hero following years in hiding after killing a man and escaping from jail. Nine turns out to be Warren and Blake’s old childhood friend Leo, a.k.a. Tiger, and he worked with Doc at Galentron a decade ago when it all burned down. It is a heartbreaking story in which Leo earns redemption and his HEA with long lost love, Clarissa. This is book four, Blake Silverton and Peace Rabe’s story. It opens in January, and Heart’s Edge has been quiet since Leo’s story in autumn.
Blake Silverton, forty-two, is a military veteran, Fire and Rescue Chief, radio call-in line host, and welder. He likes to keep busy, even if his military pension covers his living expenses. The town can’t afford to pay him full time for his firefighting duties, so he welds in his off time and sometimes does construction. His best friend Warren suggested he might benefit from doing the radio show, and it turned into a local hit that gets picked up and played even as far as Seattle. He successfully mixes conspiracy theories with love advice. As the last most eligible bachelor in town, female callers often call in hopes of snatching his attention, but Blake simply isn’t interested. He hates attention, and he definitely isn’t a hero, no matter what the locals say. He is damaged. The best he hopes for is to helpful to those around him.
Blake’s sixteen year old Andrea is a handful – a good kid but angry and rebellious. As a single dad Blake struggles. He is riddled with guilt for the death of his wife, leaving Andrea without a mom. He also struggles with the death of his own estranged mother, who was a horrible role model. And as committed as he is to raising Andrea right, he doubts himself.
Peace Rabe, twenty-five, is a free spirit. From Oahu, Peace never got over her father’s death when he deployed on active duty. Her mother dealt with it by closing herself off; Peace dealt with it by flying stateside, buying a van, and traveling where the wind blows her. She doesn’t want to get attached to anyone or any place. As a massage therapist, she has little difficulty drumming up new business and typically packs up if it slows down. She enjoys playing guitar and songwriting, so she occasionally plays a small gig for fun when inspired.
When Peace’s van catches fire on the side of a mountain near Heart’s Edge, she can hardly believe it when the man on the radio with the super sexy voice turns out to be her rescuer. She can’t help but notice his slight limp and sense his pain, and sincerely wants to help. When Blake sees the gorgeous woman with the old van on fire, he knows he is in trouble. Women and car trouble have led to marriage in Heart’s Edge before. But Blake can’t go there. His war injury is acting up badly and his daughter demands much of his attention. He is nobody special. Naturally, he lashes out at the petite redhead.
Blake and Peace’s slow burn love story is a tender tale of a damaged man finding a reason to live for himself again. Peace’s patient and persistent love for Blake, in combination her natural ability to heal, renews him. Blake’s strength and will to power on through his pain inspire a deep admiration in Peace. In Blake and Andrea, she finally finds a reason to stay.
While Blake attempts to resist temptation, a new problem crops up in Heart’s Edge as a series of fires break out with notes that hint at an arsonist angry with the town’s heroes. Someone that knows them well has an axe to grind.
There are a few minor issues that merit mention. *Spoilers* First, it is hard to understand how Andrea remembered Uncle Holt, but wasn’t aware she had had a living grandmother, since Holt had apparently once been part of their lives and he had not severed his relationship with Ma. Second, Holt insists that Blake misunderstood what he walked in on with Abigail, but the circumstances remain unclear. This might be intentional, though, as it is hinted in the free flash forward that Holt has a story yet to be told. Third, unless Abigail had light brown eyes, it looks like Holt may be Andrea’s father since Blake could not have passed on a brown gene (he would have two recessive blue genes).
Blake and Peace’s story will leave you thoroughly satisfied. It is well-written. The story is plot-driven – steeped with history, mystery, and layers. The characters are wonderfully defined. Itnis written in first person. The POV alternates between Blake and Peace. I rate this book five stars.
Don’t forget to download the free flash forward!

In this book we meet Peace Rabe and Blake Silverton. Blake is town hero, radio deejay, firefighter, and single dad. the things he wants the most is to be important to his daughter. He doesn’t want to be known as a town hero but somehow he has gotten stuck with that label just like his three friends. Maybe you remember them Doc, Nine, and Warren. The men from Heart’s Edge that have all done something to save the town. Peace came to what she thought was a small peaceful town (no pun) to spend the winter there working on tourist that would come through the town. See Peace is a licensed massage therapist. Who would she like to get her hands on first well none other than silver tongue himself mr blake silverton. The things is she thinks that he does what to many people do, take one look and figure she has nothing to offer. Will these two find that they are each other HEA or will something else happen in this small town that will have them losing their chance forever?
This is another hit out of the park for this author. There is so much I want to say about this book but don’t want to ruin it. I will say this book is a stand alone but does reference other books in this small town. Each can be read as a stand alone but I would recommend reading them in order so you don’t give away any secrets. This book does have its up and downs I really want to tell you about. However I don’t want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
No Damaged Goods is a dramatic thriller! It is absolutely fantastic! Loved it! I am voluntarily leaving my honest review after reading this arc.
No Damaged Goods is the 4th book in the Heroes of Hearts Edge series. This book is told in duel point of view which is my favorite writing style. I like knowing what each character is thinking.
No Damaged Goods is the story of Blake and Peace. Blake is a single father of a teenager and is struggling with her since her mom died. She blames him. He’s also struggling from an accident in the war years ago. He is considered a Hero of Hearts Edge, but doesn’t consider himself one. Peace just moved to Hearts Edge hoping to settle down. Her father passed when she was younger and her mother smothered her so she knows what Blake’s daughter is going through. Peace is a massage therapist and wants to help Blake with his injury from war.
Blake tries to stay away from Peace, but something happens and Peace isn’t safe. So Blake moves her in with them to help protect her. They work together to figure out what is going on in their small town and who is to blame. Also feelings stir. Can Peace finally settle down and stay in one place? Can Blake take the help and fall in love with Peace?
I really enjoyed this book and like this series.

Heart Edges Series is the BEST! I love what Nicole has done with these books. Each has been embedded with a lot not just a romantic book, but one that brings action, sorrow, forgiveness and love to a new level. This story is about Chief Blake and Peace. Although the joke in the book is the nickname that Blake has given her of Ms. Broccoli, she is much more than that especially as she breaks down the wall that have shielded Blake for some time. Unlike in previous book, Galentron nor the witch of Fuchsia is in it, all other characters such as Warren, Doc, and Leo (Nine) are back including some new ones. Blake has a daughter name Andrea who has a snake named Mr. Hissyfit, if a previous story where it involved the Doc, he ran in with it stating to help him out because if the snake died, Andrea would kill him. Andrea is your typical teenager daughter that has built up some anger towards dad for losing her mom.
Of course, this book has its own drama and now the Heroes of Heart’s Edge are trying to figure out why someone is messing with their little town. The one you least expect is the one looking for revenge on something no one was at fault. One thing to learn from this is be open about how others grieve as this book had a lot to do with it. We all do not grieve alike and we must remember that. It has a happy ending, but a lot happens in the last chapter, but again Nicole doesn’t disappoint. I hope this continues as I don’t think we have heard the last of Fuchsia or Galentron, but if it changes the concept to finding closure but moving on the rebuilding the town with new love and adventure, so be it. There is a story there about Holt and what about Andrea’s wedding?
