During a cross-border shopping trip, a family vanishes. No reason. No ransom. No cry for help.Bus driver Wallace Carver fears the worst when his family fails to meet him at the Bellingham, Washington mall. His anxiety is justifiably heightened when security cameras unexplainably show that he crossed the Peace Arch border alone. Now all Wallace wants to do is get his wife and sons back. Interesting premise of a “regular guy” whose family was kidnapped. His friends have unique abilities and contacts.
This one was full of surprises. A family outing turns into a nightmare and you can really put yourself into the main character’s place. The deck is stacked against him but slowly the logical pieces fall into place…kind of…. because there is no real logic. You will keep turning pages to make sense of it. All in all, a satisfying read!
Great read, couldn’t put it down.
Very well written, very good story. Page turner
As always, wonderful book. Can’t miss with his books,
Fast-paced, creepy read with great characters and good plot. Hard to put down. Recommended.
I loved this book. It’s one of the best books I’ve ever read, and I’ve read many, many books.
It is just great! You won’t be sorry if you read it, I guarantee it!
Wow! Like an action movie crammed into a novel. Just when you think you e got a grip on the plot, another baddie shows up!
It kept me guessing
The plot was intense. I did not see it coming .
Great writing
Nonstop action from the beginning
It was a great read. But to many loose ends.Your on a high till the last couple of pages then its over. Some on answer questions at least in my mind.Good read
Loved this book…. Kept my interest to the end!
thoroughly engaging
This book was fascinating from the beginning and you could not possible guess all the twists to the story to the final resolution. Maybe a little too violent, but not extremely descriptive of the bloodshed. I admired the loyalty of the what I consider heroes of the story and love of family.
Suspenseful!
Placid family man who has a small life, but loves it, meets brutal macho ex-military types. In a surreal change, the family man turns into a killer to save his family. Not sure of intended audience.
Seemed somewhat interesting at first, but quickly sank into maudlin and depressing.
