Kept expecting more and never got it.
Thoroughly enjoyed it. Every page. Loved the ending.
It was interesting but wasn’t pleased with the ending
This book made me insane.I admit I read the entire thing and had it been in paperback form instead of my kindle I would have set it on fire. It was so unexpected and made me truly angry . I can ever remember a time I wanted to physically harm a character in a book . A book! I did with this one . It will leave you frustrated, angry and just grumpy .
Disappointed in ending
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. The inner workings of the mind of a sociopath as she systematically set out to destroy the people in her life. True evil in work.
This book had a twist which kept me turning the page.
At first, I was not sure that I liked the pacing of this book. The almost simplistic phrasing of the narrative made me skeptical. As the story developed, I found the style lent to that air of deception which is central to the theme. I was duped by the simplicity of the narrative just as the characters were duped by the charade put on by the protagonist. In the end I was invested enough to want the protagonist caught and punished. A pretty good read
This book just wasn’t for me. I couldn’t even finish the second chapter. The amount of foul language and explicit sex was a turn-off for me. Sorry.
I couldn’t get passed the profanity
Didn’t like the beginning and especially didn’t like the ending. Good story inbetween.
Fantastic book. It made me happy, sad, breathless, and kept me coming back for more. I definitely want to read more from this author.
I have already written a review of this book, but I would like to add that the cover is very deceiving. Even after completing the book, which I loved, I thought that the cover made no sense. Don’t judge the book by it’s cover.
Having dealt with someone with no conscious, such as one of the characters in this book, it was interesting reading through the situations created by this author.
Basic book—but informative about sociopaths. Learn to spot them–and avoid.
I read an average of 3-4 books per week, but I rarely write reviews. Phil Williams’ work is always exceptional and he is one of my very favorite authors… His literary talent is outstanding and he has never failed to disappoint! This book is no exception- I HIGHLY recommend this!!
Disclaimer: It’s not much of a review but an opinion. This book left me with a bitter-sweet taste. It made me wonder if perhaps I’ve encountered people with similar characteristics to the ones in the book.
You never know who a person really is, do you? Disturbingly realistic (except the children are too stupid/blind to be 100% believable).
I found the book to be somewhat realistic with the cast of characters. Entertaining, but a little simplistic.
Surprisingly really liked this book. Fascinating
