Twisty! Exciting! Addictive! Thrilling! Suspenseful! Keeps you guessing! Everything you could want in a psychological thriller with a HUGE, unexpected twist.
Really enjoyed this book! It started off with a few graphic sex references, but they turned out to be necessary in the context of the reality of this story. An easy read, and I read it in one day since I was totally captivated in finding out what was really going on! I will definitely read more of this author’s books!
I especially appreciated the author’s knowledge of sociopathy and psychopathy and the manner in which he demonstrated the characteristics of each in the mother. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
The sociopath personality is so realistically portrayed in this story line that I felt right at home from having worked in a maximum security unit in corrections. The accurate dynamics of how these people relate to others is so foreign that most people will never see the real agenda. They do exist and function in our world.
Very thought-provoking and educational (without trying to be, I’m sure). I highly recommend this book if you’re interested in the psychology of family dynamics.
A thriller that made me think of a person in my household at times. It was a page Turner that kept my interest with twists and turns of suspense right up to the end.
Very well written. It kept me guessing until the very end.
I already wrote a review when I finished the book. Very realistic and educational portrayal of a sociopath
Excellent. I couldn’t put it down. The author has great insight in psychopathic behavior and makes you examine all of your past acquaintances and members of your own family, perhaps. Very enjoyable.
Not my kind of book, could not get into it, a little on the dumb side
Have you ever read a book where you contemplate not finishing it because it seems to be going no-where, yet for some reason you turn another page thinking if I just hang in there I’ll get to the good part? Yeah, that’s this book. And, it never went anywhere and was disappointing. It’s about a man figuring out that his mom has mental issues that are well hidden from others. I just wouldn’t recommend this book
Chilling, as it clarifies perception of the people around you. I’ve known people like these characters, particularly the prime villain, and the author puts it all into perspective. A must read.
I couldn’t follow it. It was slow and not interesting to me.
At first I wasn’t sure where this book was going but the more you read the harder it is to stop. The end will blow you away.
This books makes you wonder if you know a psychopath.
It’s scary that this is actually happening and so many people are unaware.
I enjoyed this book. It was absorbing and and each character was flawed enough to make them a likely suspect. Great twist at the end!!
I almost put the book down after the first two chapters. However, I am glad I stuck with it. The story really develops and I came to understand, like, and sympathize with the main character. Great ending. This is one of those books that really makes you think about things long after you have finished the story.
There was really no point to this book.
When I stated the first chapter I was not sure I wanted to read, persivering I found the book engrossing, It was not what I expected. Interesting how the one main character grows and is the free. I highly recommed this book.
