GaryOne afternoon. One slip-up too many. And Tony kicked me out of his life. No way back.I promised I would never love another like I loved him. I lied.KennethWhen he stepped into my bar, I knew he meant trouble.Heartache followed Gary Winters wherever he roamed. You don’t get to be the hottest guy in Hollywood if you’re a saint. But I am no angel either.
Quick read that gets you straight to the point. Readers be warned – there’s a lot of steamy action between the sheets as well.
Hard to teach old dogs new tricks, when the dog thinks he’s smarter! Tony, kicks Gary out for cheating. Gary is self reflective and worried about his character defects, but when he sees Ken, he decides game on! Gary is a playa, Ken describes himself as not an angel with no evidence of non-angelic behavior. They flirt a bit then head to next step. After they satisfy their physical needs/curiosity. The story ends. No character development. No story development. I would have liked to know about their first challenge; meeting each other’s friends anything more than what was delivered. No way should author charge as much as he is. I received an ARC from Booksprout for a review.
SPOILERS
I was not fond of this novel. It is on the shorter side and moved at a fast pace, but I just couldn’t connect to it.
Immediately, the reader is introduced to the main character, Gary. I HATE Gary. You find out right away he’s a serial cheater. His boyfriend Tony is kicking him to the curb because he cheated again. From what it sounds like, its not just the second time this has happened either, but numerous times during their 3 year relationship. Not to mention you find out later the couple was celebrating an anniversary in a hotel and Gary invited another man to their room where Tony walked in on them. Honestly, I felt so bad for Tony, Gary is an asshole. He explains that he hasn’t felt something for Tony for a while but this is NOT the way you handle a fizzling out of a relationship. This was cruel and unnecessary. The author tries make Gary more empathetic but it just comes off as fake and unrealistic. I wish I knew prior to reading this that Gary was a cheater, the blurb doesn’t explain this; if I had known I probably wouldn’t have picked it up. I really cannot say I would recommend this book. It fell short of a nice romance, the main character was not a good man, and the insta-love connection Gary supposedly felt with the bartender felt forced and just had me thinking “once a cheater always a cheater.”
When I started reading this story, I could not put it down. I read the book in one day. This author is an awesome writer. I can not wait to read more of their books. Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book.

Gary a movie star and player got caught for the last time by his longtime boyfriend cheating. He gets dumped and figures he need to have sex to try to get over the best thing he ever had. He goes to the nearest bar and there he catches the bar owner’s eye….Ken. Ken knows who he is and what kind a person Gary is but doesn’t care…he wants to live out his fantasy. The two hook up and passion explodes. The chemistry is intense between the two and Gary has a feeling that he might have something special with Ken. Super short and steamy read with little to no romance…great if you want a quickie!

Tony dumps Gary for serial cheating one time too many. Gary goes to a bar and meets Ken. They end up back in Gary’s suite at the hotel screwing. I found it to be a short and shallow read. No real depth to the story or characters. It didn’t really go anywhere. Never found out if this was a fling or lead to something more serious.
