As always, miss Edwards does not let you down. Small town. Navy Seals. And of course the heroine. I so loved Nixon’s Promise. The storyline flowed throughout the book. The s@x was hot, but not boringly long. The action was packed. I loved that Nix looked out for McKenna’s siblings. So honorable. And that the bad guys got their just deserve. I just couldn’t put this book down. Thank you so much for this awesome story.
This is a great book about a former SEAL (Nixon) with some measure of PTSD who has gone home to recover from his years at war. He meets McKenna, who is raising two teenage siblings who have a good amount of teenage rebellious spirit. There is danger from a corrupt sheriff and his son. And there is a bigger danger from a terrorist group that is targeting Philadelphia. Nixon is asked to join a group trying to stop the terrorist group, and is also trying to protect McKenna since they have started to fall in love with each other. The big questions are: Can Nixon stop the terrorists? Can McKenna pull her family together and overcome the teenage problems? Can McKenna and Nixon stop the corrupt sheriff from causing trouble? And can McKenna and Nixon have an HEA? I highly recommend this book!
