This was an interesting read. It was fast paced with plenty of action. The cover is stunning.
Nixie Blood Series:
It is so hard to review Ms. Allan’s books without turning it into a book review. There is so much in all of her books. Although she takes common themes, none of them are copies of other writers’ books; she is original and the twists are sometimes surprising and out of the blue. Everyone expects twists and turns, but this talented author kicks butt!
Nixie Blood: A bloody little monster #1 – A small character from the Gypsy Blood Series with her own trilogy. This is another fast paced, action filled story with plenty of paranormals and some humans. Add the author’s usual mix of humor and romance. Ms. Allan is talented with a large amount of originality in her stories and this one is no different. Although Vampire Knights is my favorite series by this author, with her Gypsy Blood series a close second, this series is pushing for first place. There’s plenty of interesting storylines with intriguing characters and good dialog; don’t expect any of the usual stupid formulas that’s so common nowadays. If possible, do read the Gypsy Blood series, you will not regret it. I contacted the author to review her books; what a serendipitous decision that was. 5*
Nixie Blood: Prepare for bloody battle #2 – She’s done it again. Ms. Allan wrote another fast paced, action filled, humorous book with plenty of Fae, vampires and some humans, and a touch of romance. The vivid descriptions and wonderful imagination of this Aussie author keeps the reader immersed until the last page. Plenty of storylines setting the foundation for this series and the characters are interesting, even the mean and dumb ones. Endelissa and Tanya are two of my favorite characters. Sadly, while not a cliffhanger, there’s more acomin. I contacted the author to review her books and have enjoyed all that I’ve read. 5*
Nixie Blood Series end.
Gypsy Blood Series:
Gypsy Blood – Love Bloody Hurts #1 – I love this author and this book is another good read by her. The book is nonstop intrigue and suspense. The characters are likable and interesting; you’re in their corner. The sexual tension and humor between the Gypsy and the old vampire was perfect. The book moved along rapidly making it hard to put down. My favorite author is in her form, no stupid formula, just a well written story with likable characters, interesting dialog and storyline. There is vulgar language, but gratefully, it’s not overdone, and the sex is in your imagination where it belongs. No cliffhanger. 5*
Gypsy Blood – I Walk The Bloody Line #2 – Wow, talk about the evil in this book. Fast paced, filled with action, evil and a storyline that keeps the reader immersed in the pages until the end. The characters keep growing, and discovering new secrets and plots, and finding surprising sources of help as needed. There’s a couple of dark happenings, but overall the book keeps rolling along. The vivid descriptions and no stupid formula add to the mix. The vulgar language is kept to a minimum. No cliffhanger. 5*
Gypsy Blood – The Future Looks Bloody #3 – Wow, this is the best of the trio. Full, non-stop action and intrigue, complete with plenty of sexual tension. The characters keep getting better and more evolved as each book carries to the end of the trilogy. The intriguing storyline make it hard to put the book, or the other ones either, down for even a moment. There are dark periods as the book unfolds, causing twists and turns, and things happen unexpectedly. This is one of my favorite sets of books in this genre. I contacted Ms. Allen to review her books. 5*
Gypsy Blood end.
