Jodi Picoult, bestselling author of My Sister’s Keeper and Small Great Things pens her most riveting book yet, with a startling and poignant story about the devastating aftermath of a small-town tragedy. Sterling is an ordinary New Hampshire town where nothing ever happens–until the day its complacency is shattered by a school shooting. Josie Cormier, the daughter of the judge sitting on the … daughter of the judge sitting on the case, should be the state’s best witness, but she can’t remember what happened before her very own eyes–or can she? As the trial progresses, fault lines between the high school and the adult community begin to show–destroying the closest of friendships and families. Nineteen Minutes asks what it means to be different in our society, who has the right to judge someone else, and whether anyone is ever really who they seem to be.

Nineteen Minutes is typical of this author…the end is never what you anticipate. Her books aways make me continue thinking for several years “what I would have done in the same situation”. Well worth reading in the today’s climate.
BEST BOOK HANDS DOWN!!!
Love this author. She takes an issue and leaves you seeing every side of the issue and understanding it. This is a great way to feel compassion and understanding of others.
A very real story! Frightening! A great read.
Literally, I could not put this book down ! I started it and read it through that day!
Love Jodi Picoult
This book is one of her best, and still so relevant on so many levels.
As usual with a “Jodi” book, an ending that you never see coming.
Jodi Picault is an inspirational reader. She is so relevant with all her
topic. You read her books and need to talk to people about it afterward.
It stirs up discussions and thought.
A good read.
Great book! A story for our times of school shootings, however sad it may be. Jodi knows how to weave a story!
Gripping
One of my favorite books
This book can not be described. It is the most heartbreaking story but still so realistic. I’ve read it multiple times and love how it hops from character to character. Beautifully written.
Like all her books, very thought provocing.
This book was a page turner! I could NOT put it down. It had amazing plot twists and just the right amount of suspense.
This book is frightening but the message it sends is an important one . Beautifully written as all of her books are.I certainly recommend this book .

Poignantly written, about today’s real issues!
Thank You Jodi, for keeping it real
Nineteen minutes delves into the possible reason that such tragic school shootings are happening. As the story unfolds it deals with a topic that is largely ignored or glossed over by society also including the information that socio-economic levels of well being play no factor in the equation. Interesting and well written although I found it a …
This is the type of book you stay up reading for. There were times I absoluletly couldn’t stop reading no matter how tired I was!
