A murder on campus divides the houses, and the hidden prejudices between the races spill out into mistrust and violence. Life at the Nightworld Academy will never be the same. Who murdered Lorna, and who framed Andrei? Proving his innocence may be harder and more dangerous than we imagined, but I’m determined to clear Andrei’s name. But helping Andrei isn’t our only problem.First, I discover my … our only problem.
First, I discover my relationship with Jamie is more complicated than we both realised, and that he has a more significant role to play in my life. But I’ve seen his death again—and this time I know where he dies.
Then, Tobias finally opens up, and our relationship hits a new level of complicated. Tobias can strengthen my powers, but with dangerous consequences for both of us.
Ash continues to struggle with Vincent’s control, and with the after-effects of his night away from the academy. As Vincent takes advantage of the unrest between the houses to segregate Gilgamesh, we uncover the darker side of his plans.
But there’s more to these events than a shifter with an agenda and a vampire framed for murder. The pieces won’t fit into place yet, but I’m no longer sure if the Confederacy or the Dominion is our greatest threat.
As we grow stronger, we become determined that nobody will succeed in tearing us apart. But how far will our enemies go to stop our group uniting into the powerful opponents they fear?
We’re facing our most dangerous term yet, and I’m frightened we might not all survive.

I really love this Academy series and in this latest instalment the intrigue, angst and anxiety are ramped up a notch.
The storey remains strong as the complex relationships between Maeve, Tobias, Ash, Andrei & Jamie continue to develop.
When a witch is murdered the authorities assume (or look for an excuse to convict) Andrei is the culprit with out looking at anything in detail or even looking to see if any one else could have done it. Even when provided with an alibi its assumed that he still did it any way so Maeve and her team are against the clock trying to prevent him being sent to Ravenhold.
Along with this Amelia has disappeared assumed to have gone after Matt
I just love the twists and turns plus the really brilliantly entertaining storey – yes this is an Academy book but it is also so much more as it will appeal to adults of all ages.
There is always so much going on at the school. Maeve almost always feel out of place or worried about one of her friends. There is a lot to worry about there so that I can understand. She just needs to have more faith in herself and her friends. She would not have to worry so much then. I do like these stories but sometimes I just want to scream at the top of my lungs. Quit worrying, grow up, have faith or something like that. The tension is growing you can feel it. I received a complimentary review copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Are you kidding me?? I was so excited to read this book thinking it would close out the series and answer all my questions. It ended in a cliffhanger, answered very few questions and raised MORE! I think a series needs to come to an end if they can’t be read as stand alones (this really needs to be read in order). It appears this is going to dragging into more and will become boring for me. This book was okay, but has already started to get dull. Even though I started out liking this series, this is the for me.
Conspiracies, Segregation & Lots Of Fear!!

Nightworld Academy: Term Four
A much better book than ‘Term Three’ thankfully! This is chocked full of fear for firstly Andrei then Amelia & Ash! Tobias, Jamie & Maeve try to figure out how to help each of them, but Andrei is the first priority because his position is so dyer!!
Vincent becomes ever more dangerous with his radical teachings. What is he doing to Ash?? The Headmistress seems almost vacant & broken, definitely not ‘on the ball’ with what’s going on with all of the Student Factions splintering further & further apart!! Can they use their connection to each other & Maeve’s mental magic connections to help any of them? There seems to be much bigger conspiracies going on, probably more far reaching than just the Academy!!
This was a complex story this time. I just want all the answers now. We we treated to a big reveal near the end, I should’ve seen it coming but didnt, at all! A confirmation was given too. I’m anticipating a fully rounded up, all threads tied up, conclusion in the final Term! I feel it will be explosive & that Matt & Amelia will be needed!

No!! This can’t be happening. Just when you think things may be looking up just a tiny bit, boom, something else happens. I love how Tobias is slowly opening up to Maeve. Jamie just needs more confidence. I hope Maeve can help him find it. This is another great edition in this story. There is a ton of different things going together and things are really starting to pull together. I can’t wait for more!!
This book is so insanely good! There are so many twists and turns that are revealed. I finally get my Andrei back, but that ending is killer! I need to know what happens next. I love how the group is finally becoming more cohesive and Jamie has finally gotten on board with his feelings for Maeve and is working with her to solve the new problems that have arisen. I cannot wait for the next installment!
