Beware of monsters in wolf’s clothing.
The shapeshifter world is threatened by an evil organization and its vicious army of mutant werewolves.
But the mutants were once human, and Liam argues that many are innocent victims. His protests fall on deaf ears when authorities spirit his friends away to conduct a series of experiments. Liam grows even more anxious when they seem determined to keep … series of experiments. Liam grows even more anxious when they seem determined to keep him in the dark.
It soon becomes apparent many shifters believe the only good mutant is a dead one. But as those in charge continue to seek evil in all the wrong places, the true monsters prepare to set the world on fire. And no one seems to be paying attention.
When Liam discovers that his cohorts have been sent on a suicide mission, the beast within him snaps. He’s had enough of the shapeshifter rules. Time to make some of his own.
Can he save his friends? And will the shapeshifters survive the war to come?

NIGHTSHIVER: A Werewolf Thriller (Nightshifter Series Book 4 of 5) keeps to form of the previous books. The action and suspense are intense, and so is the intrigue. The book, like the others, engages you from page one. The characters are believable, and so are the actions they are taking to protect their own. Even the evil folks in this story are credible. What they are doing mirrors some of the worst atrocities in the history of humankind. Their actions speak to just how horrible people can be to one another. I am eager to see how this all pans out.
NIGHTSHIVER carries on from the previous books seamlessly and with an increased level of drama, suspense, turmoil, and intrigue! I loved this book as it takes everything from the earlier books and allows us to examine the information from a perspective that leads to decisions that will change supernaturals in these stories forever, as well as humankind. Brace yourself and get ready for book five! This book is not a standalone drama to me, although it can be… sort of! Read them ALL…says me!!!!

So great to find this book gets back to the original characters and plot, I admit, I did miss Nate, Reece and the Nightshifters in the previous book. And I absolutely loved how the author incorporated herself into her own story! Sam and Liam have a new problem, they discover there’s an author writing stories depicting scenes on what had actually transpired, which no one should be privy to and that author is, wait for it, L.E.Horn, a local, who writes stories on werewolves! Very cool! This book was rife with tangible tension, with drama and intensity, as Liam and company try once again to get to swing the balance of power, to thwart the Council, who’s only agenda is to experiment on the hapless mutants, while the League is hellbound on creating a master mutant race. Wonderful, wonderful series!
This is the 4th book in the Nightshifter series “Nightshiver” by L. E. Horn. This may be the best of the series yet. The story grabs the reader from page one by dropping you right into the middle of a fight scene that occurred in the previous book. What’s different though, is that a writer, Kat, dreamt the entire fight including experiencing the smells and emotions as if she was there. She wrote this dream up as a short story to get readers to try her books.
Sophia was the first to read Kat’s teaser about werewolves and the huge fight between the werewolf enforcers and the mutant werewolves who had lost their humanity. Fighting with the enforcers was a small group of sane mutants led by Liam. She shared this with Doc Hayek and with Liam. She also found another book by the same author that recaptured the tale of her rescue with very detailed information. Was someone in their group spilling the beans to a writer? The penalty for telling a human about wulfans/wulflengs is lifetime in Wulf prison or death. Everyone in the group was aware of this and all denied having spoken to anyone.
The development of mutant werewolves started off with Gunther creating a selective breeding program for certain characteristics which took generations to create change. When this wasn’t creating change fast enough, the council of Werewolf affairs changed directions focusing on creating mutant werewolves instead. Will this satisfy them or are they willing to take it further? What is their end goal?
As per her usual style, this author has several story lines going at once yet she does a wonderful job of keeping them interconnected. I never felt lost as her transitions were done very smoothly. Each book develops the backstory of the characters even further.
This book will satisfy any reader as it includes murder, love , soul bonds, mindspeak, werewolf shifters, intrigue, loyalty, and heroes.

The Nightshifter wulves are fighting the mutants created by the League along with enforcers. When the fight is over, the enforcers turn on the wulves helping them. This story has plenty of action in fights between wulfen and wulfleng. There is some romance and the story ends in a cliffhanger. and I can’t wait to read the last book in the series Highly recommended.

The stakes and danger increase to a frantic pace. More revelations, and a character sharing the author’s name make an appearance. Book 3 was a slight climb on this rollercoaster series. This book zooms into the beginning of the high speed ride the next book promises to deliver.
I loved it. All the pieces keep falling into place. These books are the bomb. They are thrillers that are full of action and have a hint of romance. Nightshiver took off like a shot and it didn’t stop until the end. All the players came together in this one, now they have to fight the war.

Another great story from L. E. Horn. The adventure continues for the group and they find another type of mutant who is even more dangerous than the original ones. I liked the story because the action keeps on coming and the evil doers are getting worse in what they will do to control the world. There is a bit of romance thrown into all the stories in this series but it does not overwhelm the overall story line. I am eagerly awaiting the next book.

When is a mutant not just a mutant? The answer is when the League of the Red Wolf is involved. Bigger, faster, and more dangerous make for a formidable foe. But that’s just the beginning. And now, books are being written that accurately tell about the battles of the good guys against the League’s mutants. Is someone an undercover wulv and spilling everything about them?
This series has grabbed me and has drug me along at light speed. Not only are there “normal” wulves of childhood stories, but there are the new and maybe improved mutants to throw a monkey wrench into the action. Twists and turns are again twisted and turned which makes a mind grabbing story. And then there’s the romantic side. Hold On!!

The Nightshifter Series is explosive! Action packed drama, mystery and suspense that keeps you intrigued craving more! You feel as though you’ve jumped into the pages and experience everything!
Bigger, out of control, insane mutants!
There’s a new ‘sheriff’ in town taking over the base. Look out Gunther. You’ve met your match.
Who is the red she-wulf?
Who is Kat?
You are so bad L. E. Horn!! I love it! Definitely a unique, unexpected twist!
Reese’s mysterious dream woman is in danger. Is she human? Wulfleng? Wulf?
If you are into shapeshiters, I strongly recommend this series!
Thank you BookSirens and the author for an incredible complimentary copy in exchange for my honest opinion.
Reese, a Nightshifter, heard the screams and raced through the tree branches to get to the source as quickly as possible. Others of his kind were to the left and right of him, also trying to stop the attack. Two groups of wulves were coming together. One was the protector or Enforcer group that kept the laws and the wulfans’ secret existence living alongside of humans. The other was a rogue shapeshifter organization called the League of the Red Wolf and had developed a mutant version of the wulfan virus which it used to unleash monsters on the world. These monsters foamed at the mouth and their reddened eyes showed their insanity. As Reese fought the crazed enemy, the small red she-wulf that had initially been attacked, joined him in his fight. Suddenly an enforcer in human form stood behind her with a rifle pointed at him until she said he was a good guy, and thanked Reese by name. He didn’t know her or how she knew him, and the fighting got intense again so he couldn’t think about it. The red she-wulf continued to choose to battle near the Nightshifters, her silver eyes flashing as she rose to their defense, protecting them from her own kind and telling them they were the good guys too.
Kat sat up suddenly in bed, the bad dream so vivid in her mind that she grabbed her iPad to write it all down. She had been able to write two books like this so far, and they were very popular. She felt like she was actually one of the werewolves in the battle. She had expected to see claws when she had awakened. She loved the little red wulf in her dream as it jumped forward to defend the huge black wulf. But has she truly been dreaming all this time?
The Wulfleng and the Wulfan are coming together to join forces against The League of the Red Wolf who are creating even more monsterous forms. Wulfan are born that way as wulfan. But a human infected with the virus they carry becomes a wulfleng, and they often don’t make it past their first full moon. Infected as adults they had to learn how to channel their emotions, and control their animal side and could die or transform into an uncontrollable vicious beast. So if the human mind couldn’t deal with their inner beast, the Enforcers stepped in to put them down – which is why Enforcers were suspicious of the Nightshifters in the battle. The reader will see returning characters from previous books in the series. The League of the Red Wolf is out to continue to make even more vicious feral monsters in the lab as they prepare to take over the world. Only the Wulfan and the Wulfleng who voluntarily stayed to fight beside them are protecting the humans and themselves. The excitement never ends. Grab your copy and be amazed!
Nightshiver is the fourth installment of the series. It can be read as a stand-a-lone, but is best read in order with the others. You will see returning characters from previous stories. The League of the Red Wolf are out to continue to make the feral monsters they have to take over the world. The only ones standing in the way are the Wulfen and the Wulfleng who choose to stay with them to help fight this atrocious evil. Many will sacrifice much to thwart the abominations that exist. Although, the battles are epic, it is what transpires in between that will make you hooked…the love stories, strategy, personal struggles and so much more. You will not want to miss this newest installment! I received this as via Booksprout and am leaving a voluntary review.
I loved this story. It is the kind that you can identify with the characters and immerse yourself in the story. Very well written and characters to win the heart make this book a must read.

Reading this story makes me remember my Ethics class. If you know what is morally right goes against what the law dictates, what will you do?

What do we see going on with Reese with regards to the League of the Red Wolf? What are the Nightshifters up to? Who is Kat? Who is the red she-wulf? It is interesting, watching this fourth book pick up during the big battle at the end of the second book! Watching it move on from there was enlightening! Now I know who is behind things and am wondering about Karma. I missed out on a few things in that we see folks from the third book now working with folks in the second book with no real storyline of how they got there. That was the only detriment to this story that I felt I was not happy with. They were just /there/. I know what I would like to see happen, with regards to whom is behind things, and I guess I will see as things continue if I get my heart’s desire with regards to Karma. Read this series in order from the beginning to get things to make the most sense! Lots of intricacies going on!
