A Navy SEAL. A one-night stand. The woman he can’t get off his mind. Ten years of dedication to the Navy taught SEAL Jon Rudnick one thing–he’s not afraid to risk life and limb for his country. But when navigating military red tape begins to present more challenges than the enemy it makes Jon question his future. So does Alison Cressly, the woman who doesn’t do one-night stands or SEALs but who … stands or SEALs but who broke both rules with Jon the eve of his deployment to Afghanistan. He can’t get her out of his head–not while away and not now that he’s back. When Ali’s life is threatened and military rules won’t allow him to intervene, Jon decides it’s time to take back control.

Love Cat Johnson’s SEALs in this series. Always makes me laugh at places, swoon-worthy heroes I get to fall in love with. This was the first of her SEALs I’ve read, and I’m still enjoying the stories the second time around!
I always enjoy the writings by Cat Johnson, but NIGHT WITH A SEAL had a little extra tug to my heart! It reminds me of my daughter and now son-in-law. The difference a night can make when you look across the room and your eyes lock. (They’ve been together 10 years (married 9 1/2 years!)
Jon an Ali are gathering with friends when they lay eyes on each other. From there it’s a believable storyline! Their respective friends were enjoyable as well.
What a captivating romance with two strong will characters and storyline that enables you to envision the event as they happen. A spell binding military romance.
Night with a SEAL (Hot SEALs, #1)by Cat Johnson This is a good start to a series… Jon (SEAL) Ali (friend of SEAL brothers sister) Too many deployments…hostage situation at home…hot sex…new job starting company GUARDIAN ANGEL PROTECTION SERVICE. It was fun to meet all the players who will be in the following books.
I was disappointed, this book was a lead in for the next book. There wasn’t much story.
This book was free on Amazon. It is a novella and tells the story of Ali and Jon, a Navy SEAL. The two meet at a party and have a one night stand. Given Jon is about to deploy again, they agree to keep things casual. But neither of them can forget the other. Shortly after jon returns to town, Ali is held hostage at the bank where she works by terrorists (not just armed robbers but terrorists). Jon thinks the swat team is made up of a bunch of idiots so he gets a bunch of his SEAL buddies together and they save the day. After that, they all quit the Navy and and start a security company which leads to the remaining books in the series. The two main characters have zero chemistry and there’s not much that is entertaining about this book.
I read and loved SEAL Strong by this author, and decided to give this series a try. Boy am I glad since it exceded my expectations.
The story centers around Navy SEAL Jon Rudnick, known for his one nightstands, and no committments and Alison Cressly, a woman not interested in one nightstands.
When the meet at the home of a mutual friend, the sparks fly and Ali breaks her rule. But Jon leaves shortly after for unknown parts.
Jon didn’t forget her , but he doesn’t need the distraction of a woman during his missions.
But when he returns and her life is in danger, rules go out the door.
The story moves seamlessly , is action packed, with interesting and well develop characters and the promise of a very entertaining and engaging series.
I would like to add that in the audiobook edition, the narrator did an excellent job and we always knew who was the individual “talking”.
This was a great book when I really enjoy a book like this one I can not put it down until I finished the whole book without putting it down it’s a really great book looking forward to the next book
This is the 2nd book I read by Cat Johnson. I liked the hot & steamy scenes. I couldn’t get into the storyline or Ali & Jon.
Enjoyed this book.
depth of characters
This book was a nice change from the contemporary romance (i.e. angst) books I have been listening to lately. I would recommend it to people interested in a quick HFN without a lot of drama.
I listened to the Audible version. This was the first book I listened to narrated by Craig Jessen. He has a pleasant voice and I appreciated that he made the different characters sound drastically different, though a couple of the voices seemed odd.
Pretty typical steamy fantasy.
Just bought the 3rd book in the series.
Great story! Great characters!! Loved this story!
love it
The ending leaves you wanting more. Really hated that. Not much of a relationship story. More like the cute meet. Then ends. Uh.
Just so so.
Great short story with awesome characters
