Move over Rice and Meyer because Speer is setting up to not just shake the streets of Sydney but the whole hierarchy of the Vampire Genre. There are two new names in your world: Speer and Dante and they make a Kicka** team. Speer has intertwined history, modern day politics and fiction together so well, he left this conspiracy theorist wondering: Is Dante real? If so, where is he? Can I find him? Can he find me, please…even just in my dreams? This journey is going to give it all to you and leave you begging for more. You are going to lust and love, obsess and hate, fear and hope. Plot twists abound and are going to have you questioning your ability to judge what is real, right along with the characters. And along the way, there is Dante, who made this all about the eyes girl…turn into a fang girl, darn those lips and fangs. Speer is setting himself up to join the greats that keep me one-clicking on sight….1. It is a fast paced read with a great plot that kept me up all night to finish it in one sitting and left me with a doozy of a book hangover. 2. He emotionally connected me to the character’s, whether I was hurting and getting butterflies for the ones I loved or yelling at and threatening bodily violence upon the ones I hated. And in the end all this booklover can say is job well done, Mr. Speer, well done indeed!
Absolutely riveting!! Night Walker is one phenomenal paranormal read!! It is filled with unexpected twists and turns, is action packed, full of thrills, intrigue, love, and much more. Dante and Alex are everything you want and love in leading characters. I was hanging on to every word and found it quite difficult to put the book down. I can’t wait to see how the story unfolds in the next installment, Day Dreamer.
I am totally not lying when I say that I absolutely loved this book. Night Walker (Undeadly Secrets Book 1) by Aaron L Speer hooked me from the very beginning with his shocking and extremely dark tale of vampires and their intolerance for the human race.
Dante Delavega is a rare breed of Vampire. He chooses to not follow the King and laws laid down by him. He refuses to feed off a human unless they willing let him and he doesn’t kill them just for fun. Dante also has an insane need to protect his donors and their families at all costs and Alex Hensley is one of those special ones. Alex is a kind and innocent girl who loves her boyfriend more than he deserves. When she met Dante she was drawn to him and she was not sure why. Once the story unravels we find just how connected they really are. With all the twists and turns of the book start to show happen in this story I found myself thinking Alex’s boyfriend an ass and her best friend Lauren a wild but definitely cool chick. Lauren does go all crazy at one point but I still loved her. And let’s not forget Michelle. She is loyal to a fault and insanely strong.
I was so engrossed in the main characters as well as the supporting character that I couldn’t put this book down. The scenes can be fairly graphic and dark but it just adds to the overall allure of the story. I definitely cannot wait to dive into the next book. Thanks Aaron for an amazing Paranormal series that I am sure will be an all time favourite of mine
This is not my normal read but it definitely did not disappoint.
Alex is ready to adventure into the night life with her boyfriend and BFF. What she does expect is to find out is that there is a real night life that no one thought was real. When sexy Dante walks into her life, it will never be the same. I look forward to reading the next one soon!
This was one of the best Vampire books I have read in a long time. It has Graphic sex, violence, and a hot vampire. What more can you ask for.
Holy Hell I couldn’t stop reading this book. I loved everything about it.
The Story:
This book is set in Australia, we learn a bit about Australian history before we get into the story. We meet Alex, her best friend Lauren, and Alex’s boyfriend Matt. Alex has had a rough life, her dad died when she was 2, and her mom lost her mind. So Alex was raised by her aunt. Now Alex is a school teacher, and lives with her best friend Lauren. Alex wants the dream, White picket fence, Babies and to be loved. That all soon changes. One night the 3 go to a Club. Club T is ran by Dante. Lauren is obsessed with getting Dante into bed. But he seems to only pay attention to Alex. Which pisses off her boyfriend and best friend. Lauren meets/hooks up with Ryan. A rich surfer boy, she meet at the club. After this things will never be the same. Secrets are reveled and Alex’s life is turned up side down. All Hell breaks loose and choices are made that affect everyone. Soon the Paranormal world comes crashing down on Alex and everyone she knows. I don’t want to give any spoilers so I’ll stop right there. But big twists and turns keep me wondering what was going to happen next.
The Characters are interesting to say the least. But I was sucked into their lives, I cared what happened. At points I was yelling at the book.
This book was so awesome that I am buying the second book now so I can keep reading about them. Great Job Aaron. I love this book.
There is nothing I can say negative about this book. This author quickly became my favorite, overnight. I was left with the NEED for book 2.(Which FYI, Does not disappoint!) This is a story of a teacher going through a humdrum life questioning if she is where she should be and quickly finds herself in the middle of the people of the night. She surely won’t be bored now that she has met the loveable scrumptious Dante. Though there is a hint of romance, it is more about suspense and mystery and intrigue!

It was amazing
Holy hell, what a book …forget everything you’ve ever read and seen with regards to the vampire genre, because Aaron’s take on it knocks them out of the water…I love PNR, and was excited to be introduced to a new author, and he just blew me away….he brings everything to the table, with strong believable characters, and a no holds barred, hang on to something, it’s going to be a wild ride storyline, this first book in the Undeadly Series has it all..loved it, being on book two!!
Night Walker was a great take on a traditional vampire story with a fantastic historical twist!
Alexandra Hensley seems to be living a normal life despite her father’s death and her mother being institutionalized. She has a job, a best friend who is also her flat mate and a boyfriend. When hanging out at the hottest new club in town she meets the club’s owner Dante and immediately strikes up a friendship with the mysterious and good looking man, which does not leave either her boyfriend or best friend happy.
However, everything is not as it seems. Lives are at stake and unseen forces are about to wreak havoc on Alex’s life as well as those she cares for most. What is it about the mysterious Dante that seems to cause dissension among Alex’s best friend’s. How does he always seem to be there right when she needs him? Why are those looking for revenge seeking out Alex and her friends?
This book was full of twists and turns and kept me turning the pages deep into the night. Alex is a sassy heroine that does not stand by idly as things happen to her but actively seeks to discover not only what is going on but how to end it as well. Dante is an enigma fighting against what most believe is his true nature. He is fierce and deadly, yet dashing and protective. I also love the bits of history intertwined with the story that explains the origins of the vampire and how they first came to Australia.
This book is action packed and full of thrills. It’s a PNR lover’s dream start to a series and I can’t wait to see what is up next for Alex, Dante and the rest of the characters in the Undeadly Secrets series!
4.5 stars
5 Vamping Star’s
I stumbled upon this book by some friends and I can’t be happier that I did.
So vampires ohhh yeah, there are a lot of characters in this book, but not enough to get me confused let me see if I can break it down for you.
Lauren, Alex are roommates, Matt is Alex’s boyfriend. Lauren is star eyed over Dante, only he doesn’t even see her. Dante owns the bar T they go to. Lauren hooks up with Ryan at the bar has an amazing night only she can’t remember it all.
This is a great book for me is about what you have, and what you want. But sometimes getting what you want isn’t always what it seems.
Dante you know pretty much right away he is something more, something you want to get to know but want to stay away from as well. Alex isn’t afraid of Dante if anything she is intrigued by him, and him of her.
“You love them, and what you love is important to me to protect.” – Dante
We also meet Vincent and Julian – father, son. And how they play in to the story will have you wanting to know more.
Michelle not only works for the bar T, but she has a personalish relationship with Dante and she welcomes new friends in to their circle.
“Just goes to show how stupid boys can be, no matter how long they’ve been around.” – Michelle
She is totally someone I want to hang around with!
We also meet a very old vampire renamed Dougie by my good friend Michelle. Here is a quote I absolutely loved by him.
“Anyone can take a life, but to save a life is true power.” – Dougie
This book not only has the vamps that I love. But the world that is created sucked me in, and isn’t going to let me go for a long time to come.
“Her punishment will be, knowing what she has done and what she lost.” – Dante
And my last quote you all know how I love my quotes. I leave you with this.
“Kindness is not a weakness.”
Speer grabbed me from page one…..a PNR fan I am normally not but this Aussie has a style that grabs and won’t let go. Don’t miss out READ IT NOW!
A refreshing vampire story. This book is well written and the characters are all great, even the secondary ones. The story line is not forced and flows nicely with bits of the past added to add depth to the characters. There is plenty of action, suspense, power struggles, betrayal, love and lust. Unlike most vampire books and movies this book does not romanticize what vampires are, This book has more of a realistic and authentic take on the paranormal world. If you are a true fan of vampires then this is a must read
I loved reading Night Walker, it pulled me in immediately and had me interested throughout the entire book. Aaron has taken Vampires to an entirely different level than what you typically read and what a good job he has done. Night Walker has been the best Vampire book, by far, that I have read in a very long time.
In Night Walker you meet the mysterious Dante and his girl Michelle along with three best friends Alex, Lauren, and Matt.
Alex begans to see not everything is as it may seem. As she faces some struggles that she doesn’t particularly know how to handle, her life is tossed upside down. Losing her boy friend of three years and her best friend of forever has Alex second guessing about a lot of things that she thought she knew.
When she find out the truth to what is going on Alex doesn’t know how to handle it.
I recommend Night Walker to everyone.
This is my honest and unbiased review.
This was such an amazing book by Aaron Speer. His writing is such that draws you in word for word leaving you anticipating what is going to happen next. Each of the characters had their own distinct storyline but the story flowed effortlessly. I was amazed at how I could connect to this story and could feel the emotions exhibited by Alex, Dante, and Michelle.
The story starts with a little history of how vampires came to be then there is an attack at a popular pub. Then you are introduced to Alex, Lauren, and Matt. But one night they decide to go to a club by the name of T and their friendship is put to the test when Dante, the owner, becomes protective of Alex and ignores all of Lauren’s advances. Unknown to Alex, Dante holds the answers to all the questions she seeks. But even though Dante is always around when Alex needs him— is Alex the one whom can save Dante from the clutches of Vincent?
This is a new author to to me and oh my days can this man write. This book has had my heart racing from the start. I love how the story starts from when the vampires arrive until the present day. Alex her friend and boyfriend are going out to a new club in town unknown to them its run by a vampire. This is where she meets Dante although she has never meet him before he knows who she is. They talk for hours leaving her boyfriend and best friend feeling jealous. This leads to a maze of twists and turns that kept me interested in the story and omg what a story that unfolds you can’t help but fall in love with the characters. Dante is an old vampire but won’t live by the vamp laws so is an out cast some of his own doing. He doesnt want to use humans to feed and kill. He would rather just have one a donor even though he heart doesn’t beat anymore he has so much compassion. You can’t help but fall in love with the characters in this book. Brilliantly written and would highly recommend it
You know, I wasn’t completely sure just how much I would like this book, but it turns out I really really like it! I would read it over again if I had the time right now to do so. I enjoyed reading about Alex, who seems like a genuinely nice person, Lauren who much deeper of a character than I thought at first, Matt who I wasn’t terribly impressed with, crazy Ryan, loyal Michelle, and the very gentlemanly Dante. His past is quite intriguing and a bit on the twisted side. But he is about as nice as they come for a vampire, unless you mess with someone he cares about. I wouldn’t mind delving a little deeper into his makers though. All-in-all a fascinating read
Night walker is great beginning to this series….
…it is interesting, intriguing, and suspenseful tale of the vampires society in Sydney…
Dante is mysterious..and all alluring…
Alex eyes are open to new world…
I love paranormal stories and this series is going to be right up there in my top favorites. Alex’s story has some twists and turns that provide for intrigue in this story. This story is full of suspense and action. I recommend this author to paranormal enthusiasts.
Loved this books with some hot vampires and twists and turns. There’s the mysterious sexy Dante, and three friends, Alex, Lauren and Matt.
You get the history of when the convicts arrive at Botany Bay and have been affected by disease, although ordered to bury them at sea one woman is buried on land. While also some tales from various people which gives, you some clues as to what Dante is.
Lauren thinks Dante is super-hot, Matt is suspicious of the way he acts around he’s girlfriend Alex, and but Alex sees Dante as a friend.
The three go to a club called T where Dante is and when things don’t go according to Lauren’s plans, she ends up going home with Ryan, although the next morning can’t remember anything, which turns into an interesting twist.
Matt turns into the jealous boyfriend and ends up having Dante investigated which causes more problems, getting the attention of Vincent – the vampire king. This causes problems for Dante and eventually Dante, Alex and Michelle get summoned to see the king, where Alex makes a split-second decision that will affect the rest of her life.
By the end of the book questions are answered but leaving you wanting more – can’t wait to read book two.
