What a great read! A very interesting story about werewolves. Liam is your average vet, living with a friend, Peter, who is a father figure to him. As a bit of a loner, Liam is surprised when Peter’s niece and boyfriend come to visit. Dillon, the boyfriend, pushes all Liam’s buttons and his dislike of Dillon and his aggressive attitude makes Liam question what is really going on. Well, Liam soon finds out and he’s spiraled into a world of claws and fangs. I found Liam an extremely likeable character, and loved how he sets about tackling all the challenges cast upon him. I also liked how descriptive the book is, how every detail is used to maximize one’s attention and gain an understanding of these shapeshifters. When things get out of hand, Liam is left reeling, as all he loves are in jeopardy. Well paced, interesting and entertaining to read

An interesting take on the werewolf myth. I enjoyed having so much shown to me about this new world that secretly co-exists with our own. How they, an apex predator, interact with animals. Now, on to the next book!
NIGHTSHIFTER: A Werewolf Thriller is a perfect beginning to the Nightshifter series. Liam, who happens to be a very hot veterinarian, is the hero you want for a story like this. He is the perfect balance between purebreds and those that are sired. He is literally THE good guy in the story! I appreciate the fact that he is a veterinarian who then becomes a Wulf….and yes, I spelled that correctly. What is lovable about this book is that it presents a new perspective on what a paranormal wolf means. Liam is figuring that out. He comes from a traditional background, so he is already resilient, and that perhaps is what makes him the perfect human to be turned, no matter the circumstances.
There is so much tension in this book due to what could be, what may be, and what they must do to protect their kind. Liam is new to the fold, and he has so much to learn, but a part of him seems to be learning at a higher rate. All of him needs to catch up. Peter, Chris, Josh, Sam, Matt, Keen, Havoc, and even Garrett, are his family. The first he has had in so many years. However, he has to solve this mystery that is before them or lose his newfound family. These are most definitely not stand-alone books as this one ended with what should lead into the next book. I can hardly wait for book two!

Okay this is a new way to portray werewolves, it being a virus is very different. Liam is a very dominant character in the book as it takes you from his life as a vet to being infected by an insane werewolf. He finds out secrets he had no idea existed and has to start training for his first full moon. According to the other wulves he can do things that others can’t which confuse many people. The story is well written and rolls full speed ahead from start to finish. I can’t wait for the next book.

From the first page, this book took off like a rocket and never slowed down. When the first big thing happened in it, I thought it was over and I was on to the next book. It wasn’t even the tip of the iceberg. This is an awesome novel and I loved reading every word of it. All the characters are well developed and intriguing. The story is well thought out and will throw you for a loop. I highly recommend it!
I received a free electronic copy of this novel from BookCave, L.E. Horn, and Sherrington Publishing. Thank you all for sharing your hard work with me. I have read this novel of my own volition, and the review reflects my honest opinion of this work. I am happy to recommend L.E. Horn to friends and family. She writes a tight storyline with personable protagonists. While this story is intense and compelling, it is not a stand-alone tale, but subsequent volumes are available on Kindle Unlimited.
Veterinarian Liam Erikson finds himself definitely out of his comfort zone when his elderly friend and landlord Peter exposes him to some of his long-time friends. On top of a hard couple of weeks at his clinic it may be more then he can handle… Only time will tell.
I love shifter books but not having tried this author I didn’t really know what to expect when I picked this book. However, the premise was very intriguing!!! Wow, this book was absolutely impossible to put down it has an original take on shifter world-building and I really enjoyed it. Right from the beginning the story pulls you in with very vividly detailed account of the bison attack. The characters are also very well developed and easily relatable. I definitely intend to continue with the series great first book.

Liam is one of four vets and lives on a farm with the owner, Peter. He got called out to one of the other farmer’s homes to a massacre like he has never seen before. He saw huge claw marks all over the place. One night after work he took his dog, Keen for a walk in the woods. All of a sudden, a buck comes out of the woods and lands on him running from something…that turned out to be some type of weird animal that bit him and scratched Liam. The next day, Liam saw Peter and a woman, Chloe and a behemoth man, Dillon. Dillon had a bad attitude and made a weird mancave claim on Chloe. As days passed, Chloe came onto him and he rejected her. Dillon was getting worse with his aggression toward Liam, Keen wanted to attack Dillon, and Peter was acting odd about the animals seen. Come to find out, Liam is now becoming a wolfleng. There is a whole different and new world out there since he is now different. But the others that are pure bloods, wulvens are experiencing odd things as well. Missing dead ones of both breeds, weird actions, and physical impossibilities of their kind is showing a mutation on the virus. Now, several of them are exposed and while awaiting results will have to stay together and watch over one another….and the answers will lay in the next book…
Who is Ted Andreychuk? What does he do for a living? What are Ted and Liam doing at the beginning of the book? After dealing with Ted and the rest of the day at his job, Liam takes his dog Keen for a walk, or starts to….what happens? What does Liam do for a living? How does what happened on the walk affect things with his job and his life? Who are Dillon and Chloe? Wow, when things go pear-shaped, they truly go pear-shaped in this book! I cannot wait to read more books in this series. This was a new author for me!

I loved this book! I love paranormal series, especially those about shapeshifters, particularly wolves. This author’s shifter world is quite unique and very interesting. The characters grow on you, especially the dogs and wolves. 🙂
I highly recommend this book and am really looking forward to reading more from this author and in this series!
**I received an ARC from the author of this book for free and I am VOLUNTARILY leaving my own honest review.**
This was a really enjoyable yet gripping read. There is the standard story line consistent with the genre, but the author kept throwing curve balls. So now, it’s not just a scary story, but includes a disturbing conspiracy. And that doesn’t even touch on the romantic angle. I was sorry that the book came to an end, but at least there will be more, and I can’t wait!
