#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • The incomparable hero of Jack Reacher: Never Go Back takes readers to school in his most explosive novel yet. After eleven straight global #1 bestsellers, discover the thrillers that The New York Times calls “utterly addictive.” It’s 1996, and Reacher is still in the army. In the morning they give him a medal, and in the afternoon they send him back to school. That … afternoon they send him back to school. That night he’s off the grid. Out of sight, out of mind.
Two other men are in the classroom—an FBI agent and a CIA analyst. Each is a first-rate operator, each is fresh off a big win, and each is wondering what the hell they are doing there.
Then they find out: A Jihadist sleeper cell in Hamburg, Germany, has received an unexpected visitor—a Saudi courier, seeking safe haven while waiting to rendezvous with persons unknown. A CIA asset, undercover inside the cell, has overheard the courier whisper a chilling message: “The American wants a hundred million dollars.”
For what? And who from? Reacher and his two new friends are told to find the American. Reacher recruits the best soldier he has ever worked with: Sergeant Frances Neagley. Their mission heats up in more ways than one, while always keeping their eyes on the prize: If they don’t get their man, the world will suffer an epic act of terrorism.
From Langley to Hamburg, Jalalabad to Kiev, Night School moves like a bullet through a treacherous landscape of double crosses, faked identities, and new and terrible enemies, as Reacher maneuvers inside the game and outside the law.
Praise for Night School
“The prose is crisp and clean, and the fighting is realistic. . . . This latest installment has all the classic ingredients: a great setting (Hamburg), a good villain, and a mystery that draws you in efficiently, escalates unpredictably, and has a satisfying resolution.”—The New Yorker
“Another timely tour de force . . . The taut thriller is textbook [Lee] Child: fast-paced and topical with a ‘ripped from the headlines’ feel.”—Minneapolis Star-Tribune
“As gripping as ever.”—The Florida Times-Union

Right up there with the usual high standard of his fast moving thrilling novels.
Another brilliant masterpiece written by the king of thriller fiction.
Another great Reacher story!
I love Jack Reacher and Lee Childs ! Great book.
Lee Child has written another fabulous Jack Reacher novel. Great plot, lots of twists and well developed characters. Never a disappointment.
I liked the throwback to earlier in Reacher’s history; as always, I enjoyed the way his choices lead to what happens next.
I got this Audio book from the library. Great book plenty of action and suspense.
Reacher, ‘nuff said.
Jack Reacher, hero of the common man? Not afraid to do the right thing! Every one of these books will keep you on the edge of your seat and make you satisfied at the end. Tim
I was very disappointed in this book. I’ve read all the Jack Reacher books and read this one in the sequence it occurred. I would have put the book aside, but I wanted to finish it in case there was somethng relevant that might pop up in a later book. It was a waste of my time.
Perfect story of what if
I am a slow reader and the action that Childes puts into his books never leaves you reading about the color of wall paper to increase the number of pages in the book.
I would recommend any Lee Child book!!! I have read most of his books and I loved every one of them!!!
This is a baseless story, which is told in thin, militarized and slippery language, without a grain of images, with constant expressions repeated every few pages to increase the effect. Also, there’s a hero who, even if he is a hundred and ninety-five of power, is a hard and annoying bumper that I wouldn’t also want to have a drink with, and poor developments concerning action – that is, we were supposed to stay with books that are quite unreadable. But still, I find myself reading them the second they go out, and enjoy almost every moment. How is it possible? How can it be? Mystery.
All jack Reacher books are fun, enjoyable and definitely worth reading.
Not up to Lee Child’s usual level of excitement and ability to keep you turning pages.
The Reacher novels are always on my go to list! Never get tired of the series!
Not as good as other Jack Reacher stories but entertaining never the less. Lee Child does a great job with his character and finds acceptable ways for him to do what most of us wish we could.
Little late in reading this Reacher novel. Nevertheless, Lee Child has penned another volume that is intriguing and entertaining. Author Child is one of those writers whose talent just does not seem to miss those two standards, intriguing and entertaining. Highly recommended.
