#1 New York Times bestselling author Ken Follett takes to the skies in this classic novel of international suspense. Set in the early days of World War II, Night over Water captures the daring and desperation of ordinary people caught in extraordinary circumstances—in prose as compelling as history itself. . . . September 1939. England is at war with Nazi Germany. In Southampton, the world’s … In Southampton, the world’s most luxurious airliner—the legendary Pan Am Clipper—takes off for its final flight to neutral America. Aboard are the cream of society and the dregs of humanity, all fleeing the war for reasons of their own . . . shadowed by a danger they do not know exists . . . and heading straight into a storm of violence, intrigue, and betrayal. . . .

Kind of boring but I’m not a fan of English writers I have read a few of his books & they can’t get better than Eye of the Needle.
Loved this book. Great characters and plot that keeps you guessing!
Another great story by Ken Follett.
Kept me guessing
One of my favorite Follet books
Night Over Water by Ken Follet is a novel about the lives of characters with the background of 1939 Pan American’s Flying Clipper as it flys over the ocean. Topic addresses the history of long flights and the reason people travel.
Didn’t like it, I love his other books but this was unrealistic and had terrible dialogue
This is not one of Follet’s best – but it is still worth a read if you’re a fan (as I am). The title describes almost the entirety of the book – – a plane flight across the Atlantic – which takes ALL night (and then some). In an age when that much time will get you half-way around the world, it’s a little difficult to relate.
Still, the characters are interesting and well-developed and the plot does not require too much suspension of disbelief.
If, like me, you haven’t met a Follet book you didn’t like, you’ll enjoy this one – – more or less. If you’re not already acquainted with Follet’s writing, start with some other one of his books – such as “Pillars of the Earth” or “The Man from St. Petersburg”.
