I have one night to meet the mage…
One night to destroy him…
One night to break the Berserker’s curse…
One night to save them…
I woke in a field, surrounded by warriors. The spell had brought me to the threshold of the Corpse King’s fortress. When the men seized me, I reached for my power, but none came to my aid. I was a thousand years from home, a captive of the Corpse King’s guard, and … reached for my power, but none came to my aid.
I was a thousand years from home, a captive of the Corpse King’s guard, and I had no magic.
Night of the Berserkers is a stand alone reverse harem romance starring four huge, dominant warriors and the witch who must free them from the Berserker curse.

We get to see Yseult in a completely different way with this story. In one night only, Yseult arrives on the land of the Corpse King’s domain. She arrives without her powers, absolutely no magic to help her in her quest to find out how to stop or destroy the king. The night is full of revelations as she meets Berserkers Tristan, Ivar, Lars and the giant wild Berserker, Magnus. As the Corpse King is getting stronger she must find out how to stop his gathering of the power he gains from taking spaewives and sacrificing them to take his power from them. Yseult is tested by touching a Moonstone and when the stone reacts to her, her future as a spaewife is threatened. The 4 Berserkers all feel an instant connection to Yseult as she feels towards them and the five of them have a night of steaming hot sex.
The Berserkers try their best to protect Yseult from the King, but they fail against the black magic that the Castle reeks of and Yseult must meet face to face with the Corpse King.
I was surprised how good this story was being set during one day and night but Lee Savino pulled it off with a great book that gave us all the information needed for the quest and the matching of and mating with Yseult’s Berserkers.
Great Series Beginning…
Wow! Just, Wow…
This book is totally Spellbinding… LOL
No, in ALL seriousness, this book is an Awesome Read that’s worth One-Clicking RIGHT into your Reading Library!!
I was granted an ARC of Lee Savino’s “Night of the Berserkers: A Reverse Harem Romance” via Booksprout; I recommend this book to others based upon its own merits. All opinions expressed within this review are uniquely my own & freely given!
Until next time… Happy Reading!
Yseult’s story was very unique and I really enjoyed it. Her men were so yummy and the twist with the Corpse King was great. I can’t wait to see how that storyline further develops!
Berserkers, witches, magic, an evil mage rising, and time travel! What more could you ask for?
Time travel…is it really possible? Yseult’s about to find out. A powerful witch engaged in the battle to defeat the Corpse King, she and her sister witches feel the Corpse King’s power rising to unstoppable levels. History gives clues to how the Corpse King was bound, defeated, by a woman a thousand years ago. But the specifics of that knowledge have been lost to time. The witches have only one chance. Someone has to go back, find the secret behind the Corpse King’s defeat. It’s fallen to Yseult to undertake that journey. As her sister witches cast the spell to send her back in time, she has no clue what awaits her! She awakens in a meadow, disoriented and exhausted. But worse, her powers are gone. She has a single day in which to find the Corpse King’s weakness. Is that even possible without her powers? To make matters worse, the Corpse King’s Berserker guards find and take her prisoner. What’s she to do? Imprisoned, powerless, how can she possibly find the information she needs? A single day, no powers, an impossible task. The Corpse King must be defeated. It happened before. She must make it happen again. Failure’s not an option. But all isn’t as it seems. There’s discontent among the Corpse King’s Berserkers. Tristan, commander of the Corpse King’s forces, is uncommonly taken with Yseult, as are his fellow warriors Ivar and Lars. And while Yseult’s lost her witch powers, she’s still a spaewife. Unknowingly, she garners the support of yet another unlikely ally, Magnus. But the Corpse King wants to bed her, make her his wife. Doing so will destroy Yseult body and soul. What can she do? The Corpse King can destroy her with a flick of his fingers. Even with four Berserkers on her side, the Corpse King’s power is absolute. The odds against them are incalculable. Can fate make a difference when magic can’t? When Yseult and her Berserkers are thrust into battle against the Corpse King, will any of them survive? They’re so outnumbered. There seems to be no hope. Are Yseult’s powers truly lost? Is the answer right in front of her and her warriors? Or will it be lost forever in the mists of time, along with her beloved Berserkers and her own life?
There have been a series of reverse harem books recently published by a number of authors. I’ve read all of them. They’re all excellent. But this book is uniquely Lee Savino. Tying this story to her Berserker world is a stroke of genius. Her creation of Yseult is breathtaking. While Yseult is obviously the focus of the story, a powerful witch thrust backward in time where her powers disappear and all hope of saving the future seems lost, Tristan, Ivar, Lars, and Magnus are absolutely magnificent. The qualities of the Berserkers from Yseult’s own time are clearly evident in these four. While the Corpse King holds the ultimate power over all, including his Berserker warriors, Tristan, Ivar, Lars, and Magnus are far from puppets on a string. Neither are they token fantasy warriors inserted into the story for the sake of pure eroticism. Is the story hot? Absolutely! But Yseult’s beauty, bravery, and very nature is inspirational. Her warriors would put their lives on the line to protect a woman they’ve known but a single day and may never see again. And these five characters form a bond that transcends space, distance, and even time. This story is absolutely enchanting and bewitching. Lee Savino has truly outdone herself with this book. I absolutely adored it! Congratulations, Ms. Savino! This book is inspired! It deserves nothing less than five stars!
One final note. Please be an informed reader and consumer! This is an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and sexual scenes. If you don’t enjoy this genre, this may not be the book for you. There are book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads and Amazon. Use these resources. DON’T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON’T ENJOY THE BOOK. It’s not fair to the author! She works extremely hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you’ll object to a book’s subject matter before you buy it, you’re doing yourself and the author an extreme disservice.
Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!
Gotta love a Reverse Harem story that involves time travel, witches, 4 giant berserker men and plenty of hot sexy times. What I didn’t expect was the sweet dialogue, emotional bonds and kick a$$ fight scenes. Lee Savino delivers another fantastic read.
The story of Yseult. The Corpse King grows stronger each day. Yeult is sent by her sisters to discover the secret to destroy him. She only has one night.
What I loved about the book is that although the story takes time in a very short time, it feel longer. There is time to spent with each Berserker and grow a relationship with them. It is a slow simmer of a story.
We also find out a bit more about Yseult and the history of the Corpse King and the Berserkers.
So, this is part of Night of the Reverse Harems group of books. It’s also an additional story in Lee Savino’s Berserker world. It ties into the last books and gives us a little more information. In this book, we get to see more of Yseult. We all know her as a powerful witch, but not much more than that.
All of Yseult’s witchy sisters have gotten together to send her to find out about the spell that originally bound the Corpse King. The problem is that she ends up 1000 years in the past and without any of her witchy magic. All she has is her innate power.
Two Berserkers run across Yseult while she is waking up in a field. When they see her, they know her, even know they’ve never seen her before. But, they’ve been dreaming about her and she helps clear out some of the miasma that surrounds their king’s castle. When she gets taken back, it turns out that she’s just what the King would like.
Ivar, Tristan, Magnus, and Lars are determined to not let anything happen to her. They know her and they know they need her.
I loved the more intimate look into Yseult. I’ve always kind of liked her as a character, even when she seems kind of shady or sneaky. I mean, she’s a witch, and that kind of just goes with the territory in this world. But, I’ve liked her and I liked learning more about her. I really like her guys. I can’t wait to see how this all fits into the bigger Berserker series.
This is Yseult’s story. She meets Magnus, Lars, Ivar, and Tristan. She travels to the past to save the present and future.
I received a copy of the book from the author via bookfunnel, and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Every page leaves you sitting closer to the edge of your seat than the one before!
I love Lee Savino and if the paranormal isn’t your thing that is ok BUT the romance and heartbreaking pasts of these heroes dont melt your heart… Then you probably don’t have one!
This book was given to me by booksprout. I am leaving this review freely. This book is sexy, steamy, and great. This book has love, support, magic, and all kinds of other things. Hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.
I have not been keeping up with the Berserker series but you don’t really have to with this book.
Lee brings you back in time with this interesting story. Yseult is brought back in time to find out how to kill the Corpse King. They know there was a queen back in time that killed him and she is entrusted to find out who that woman is.
While Yseult is in the past, she meets some interesting characters. Lars, Ivar, Magnus, and Tristan. I loved these men. They are wonderful in each their own way.
I greatly enjoyed this story!
I haven’t read all of the Berserker books in their various series but I did read a few so I was familiar with the character Yseult, a witch, before I began this book. She has traveled a thousand years into the past to find a spell to destroy the Corpse King only to discover her powers are gone and she must rely on her wits and the warriors who would lay down their lives for her. I really couldn’t put this book down. The story is really engrossing and the love scenes are steamy. I enjoyed this book very much. 4.5 stars.
Yseult is chosen of all of the witch sisters to try to find a way to defeat the Corpse King. Yseult traveled back a thousand years back in time. Tristan, Magnus, Ivar, and Lars are warriors who have dreamed of Yseult and will do anything to help her. I enjoyed reading this book. I loved the storyline and plot. Emotionally thrilling, sexy, scary and action packed romantic adventure filled with danger, uncertainty and scorching hot passion…… Very much enjoyed this story from beginning to end and was highly entertained the entire time.
A young woman sent on a mission – learn what is needed to destroy the Corpse King. Imbued with magic from her fellow witches she is sent to do her task. What she does not expect is the shift in time. Removed from her own time she is sent back to discover the truth about how one many years ago managed to bind the Corpse King. In a different time, a small group of men, half-brothers, each dream of the fair-haired maiden. They also dream of death. When Yseult arrives, they are each drawn to her in their own way. Her scent is alluring to them all, but only select ones wish to protect her from the evil that lords over their lands.
Night of the Berserkers by Lee Savino is a standalone reverse harem novel. This story alternates in chapters between Yseult and her four men. The story follows Yseult as she finds herself in a different time and learns the truth of her situation. The story moves at a good pace and the author does a fantastic job of keeping things together. There aren’t any gaps in the storyline and it flows smoothly. I like how the author has Yseult be such a unique character. She thinks less of herself because of her lack of magic in this new time, but she is more than she thinks. I like how from the first time that they meet her that these select men (minus one) are quick to want to protect her. I appreciate the dynamics that the author sets up with these characters and how they all come together.
This is an engaging story, but it’s not without its flaws. While the storyline flows well, there are some editorial issues here and there in the storyline. They do not detract from the storyline, but they do catch the eye as you read. An example of one such error: “And then I saw them, lying in wait in the shadows beyond the throne. Woman.” The author is indicating the former wives of the Corpse King but uses the wrong term for how many there are. Since there are “hordes” of these wives, it should say “Women.”
Other than a couple minor editorial issues, this book is well done and well thought out. The author even gives the reader an epilogue, while it doesn’t round out the story completely, it gives the reader a good closing point for Yseult and her men for the time being. I am honestly looking forward to the next book that follows this storyline.
I am rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. The story is well written, engaging and has some steamy moments to satisfy the reader. If you like a good storyline, with a couple of steamy scenes and a bit of time travel mixed in then this is the book for you. I’m sure that you’ll enjoy.

Berserkers Claim
If you have been enjoying the “Berserker” story line by Lee Savino then add this book to your collection. The book is a great addition and you will not be disappointed.
Not a huge fan of reverse harem books but this one made me a true convert to the genre.

This is an interesting series. Yseult, Tristan, Ivar, Lars and Magnus make an unusual group of individuals. As short as this book is, it could have benefitted from more character development. Overall, it is an enjoyable read.

“Just Yseult. Just myself.”
“To us, you are everything.”
For some reason I kept putting off reading Ms. Savino’s “Berserkers” series. After reading this novella, I really want to know why I waited so long? The world building is great and the characters wonderful. I truly enjoyed Yseult and her four guys. I will admit that I was a little confused while reading this story but I believe that it was because I hadn’t read any of the previous books and wasn’t sure about the “story arc”. Do I plan on going back and start from the beginning? Of course!

This is the story of Yseult, the witch, Tristan, the commander, Ivar, Lars and Magnus. To give more than that about the book would be letting in the temptation of giving a spoiler, but I will say this was an exciting over the top HUGE piece of the Berserker puzzle that can’t be missed. Once again Lee Savino has taken the storyline and characters to new heights with so much dimension it leaves you satisfied and hungering for more all in one breath. Congratulations on another 5 star read!!
I absolutely loved this book. I have always wondered when Yseult would get her own book and this does not disappoint. You immediately fall into the book and will not put it down until you are done. This book answers some questions but raises others. I cannot wait to see what happens next in these stories.
