A New Translation From The French By Marion WieselNight is Elie Wiesel’s masterpiece, a candid, horrific, and deeply poignant autobiographical account of his survival as a teenager in the Nazi death camps. This new translation by Marion Wiesel, Elie’s wife and frequent translator, presents this seminal memoir in the language and spirit truest to the author’s original intent. And in a substantive … intent. And in a substantive new preface, Elie reflects on the enduring importance of Night and his lifelong, passionate dedication to ensuring that the world never forgets man’s capacity for inhumanity to man.
Night offers much more than a litany of the daily terrors, everyday perversions, and rampant sadism at Auschwitz and Buchenwald; it also eloquently addresses many of the philosophical as well as personal questions implicit in any serious consideration of what the Holocaust was, what it meant, and what its legacy is and will be.

This story deals with a young man’s experience during the Holocaust. It is not just his story, but the story of those who lost their lives to the Nazi death camps. The cruelty, pain, and degradation heaped upon these people is a nightmare. Elie Wiesel captures the terrifying nature of the Nazi regime.
Could not put this down!
Everyone should read this book.
I’m love all the books set in the period of holocast ..this is one of them .The story of Elie gave me creeps ..it was so scary that he had to go through this ..I seriously recommend this to everyone!
Truth. This book cannot be rated with pre-programmed categories. It is too important for that.
It is hard to explain why this is such a great book. It provides history, background and understanding and compassion.
Gives the best explanation of what it is like to spend every moment of the day dreaming about, hoping for, wishing for, and finally eating food because you, and everyone else, are starving a little bit every day.
This book is a dose of a terrible reality that everyone should know about. It
In my opinion it’s the greatest book ever
No one will forget this books power! When I told my students that I was going to Transylvania, they didn’t ask if I would go to Dracula’s castle, but instead asked if I would go to Elie Wiesel’s village.
A first hand account of Elie Wiesels account while he was, interned at Auschwitz during Wold War 2. . There are few books that I believe should be recommended reading but Silent by Elie Wiesels should be.
