A John Corey Novel
On a Long Island beach at dusk, Bob Mitchell and Janet Whitney conduct their illicit love affair in front of a video camera, set to record each steamy moment. Suddenly a terrible explosion lights up the sky. Grabbing the camera, the couple flees as approaching police cars speed toward the scene. Five years later, the crash of TWA Flight 800 has been attributed to a mechanical … to a mechanical malfunction. But for John Corey and Kate Mayfield, both members of the elite Anti-terrorist Task Force, the case is not closed. Suspecting a cover-up at the highest levels and disobeying orders, they set out to find the one piece of evidence that will prove the truth about what really happened to Flight 800 — the videotape that shows a couple making love on the beach and the last moments of the doomed airliner.

This book is awesome and it inspired me to write. The ending blew me away….
I was hooked from page 1. Excellent characters, smart plot, and an end that had my mind blown. Can’t get better than that. Loved every single word.
I seem to be reading these in reverse order, but it’s OK. This was my least favorite of the John Corey series even though it was still pretty good. I don’t like conspiracy theories around real world events (this one concerned the midair explosion of TWA flight 800). The ending was sad because it concluded with the 9/11 tragedy.
I have read most of his books. This was ok but not his best. I would still recommend it though.
Based on a true happening TWA 800 investigation needs to be re-opened. Another governmental cover-up with the case plainly laid out by DeMille!
I remember the night TWA Flight 800 exploded. The news footage of burning wreckage bobbing up and down on a dark sea is unforgettable. I also recall reports of eyewitnesses claiming to have seen a “streak of light” rising toward the aircraft moments before it exploded. Nelson Demille’s “Night Fall” is a fictionalized account of the crash and …
fan of DeMille.. a fun read BUT, didn’t like the ending at all!
Its a Nelson DeMille book, just read it and enjoy. You simply cannot go wrong with DeMille.
as with all his books, this was just as exciting to read.
Excellent! The story held my interest and surprised
me throughout.
I purchased this book from Savers second hand store. Fantastic book and a oh my God ending.
I remember when this plane went down in the 90’s. After reading this book I went back and read the news articles on the internet. Wow what a read. I could not put it down.
