“IF IT FEELS SO WRONG, IT HAS TO BE RIGHT“Oh, but there’s SO much more to come! NICOLAIBouncy under an unruly mop of hair, ‘dirty blonde’ I believe it is called, she bursts into the executive elevator. A pair of watery eyes, wet red lips and curves that set my mind on fire. A merger with her assets would be strictly against company policy. I should know, it’s my company. But we’re going to play … I should know, it’s my company. But we’re going to play by my rules now.
I haven’t given a thought to love in years but this feisty a young intern has changed all that. What’s on the table is going to be her. This young firecracker may be a data whizz but all I can think about is how her curves will yield under my firm hand.
LAUREL
He’s so big he takes my breath away. He’s so stern he makes me tremble. And he’s so off-limits that he really shouldn’t make me feel the way that I do. I definitely should not picturing him in any of the ways that I do.
He’s older, and it turns out, he’s my new boss. In fact in this corporation, he’s everybody’s new boss. But when he commands me, the feeling I get is so strong I don’t know how I’ll be able to resist.
Her’s too old! He’s too big! His demands are too outrageous! But when this ruthless Russian hunk feels how his little intern responds to his discipline, his cold heart melts and turns to pumping hot lava. No cheating, just a lot of warm love, and the endings are all guaranteed Happy Ever After.more
I love these “over the top” Alpha Bad Russians!! Nicolai and Laurel are the perfect opposites attract couple. He is controlled, strong, all business man. Laurel is a messy, giggly, geek. But, the chemistry is intense. I don’t normally love insta-love, but Alice My Ball does it so well. Fast paced, sexy, fun read!
I received an ARC and this is my honest review.
Phew Nicolai surely knows how to make an entrance and boy did he set the temperatures raging for different reasons in the senior management team.
Brilliant addition to the series.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Nicolai inherited the family business when his father passed. He didn’t want to be a banker but he is good at it. He is Russian and doesn’t take any shit from anyone. So he thought
When he visits the American branch of his firm, the one that is the most profitable but the least controlled he meets Laurel the perky intern. On the corporate elevator ride he gets the full mega watt smile, the giggle, the run down of what she is there for and the most important thing he sees his future with her. Skipping past the spilled coffee all over his very expensive suit to him stripping off his jacket, tie and shirt . Um yummy. Nice tattoos.
So we have all the heads of this branch in a meeting that Laurel is supposed to be running to introduce the new AI in banking. He is a distraction to say the least. I am stopping with the details of the story and now i will give you the run down. Nicolai speaks in a way that would make a poet jealous and a Mafia boss cringe. He turns heads of men and women. Helena is the CFO of his company and she has set her sights on Nicolai, but she is playing a losing hand. LITERALLY. When she makes two plays in one move. Laurles father is another bone of contention. The dance of will they or won’t they plays around a bit, the time frame of the story is a bit of the unknown. What could be a week might only be a day, who knows. Christmas is a big part of the HEA of the story. It brings weddings, family and pregnancies into the story. There is no action, very little drama and a whole lot of financial institutional information. But a good plot and a fine two hour read.
I received an advance copy by the author for my honest review
ARC review For honest review. Nicolai stravinki romonoff just inherited his family businesses . When checking on what he inherited he finds himself meeting laurel Brandon a intern he must claim to be his. Awesome story
Over the top alpha is an understatement, that’s for sure. I really didn’t like Nicolai, for one thing which was his fight for respect from Laurel’s father. I found myself respecting Nicolai but not liking him. I didn’t like when Laurel was being defiant Nicolai was punishing her. This was not for me, yet Laurel didn’t seem to mind. In my opinion to each his own. This is a fast read and it’s also an instant love. This would have gotten a three star rating but I got the ending I wanted. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader’s copy.
