“You look like someone broke your heart.”
Cocker Brothers: Very adult. Written chronologically. Best enjoyed in order as each novel builds on the last and clues are left throughout, but all standalones – if you prefer to bounce around, you won’t get lost.

WOW! Again Faleena! You blow my mind. I really loved this story. Playboy Nicholas struck by cupids arrow.
This was a wonderful story of how Maddie snags the hot playboy. The one who she sees macking on female after female at the parties she attends with her bff Denise. She has had a crush on him for the longest time, but she is not even a blip on his radar. A plain girl who blends into the background. No one notices her. Till one day he does.
Nicholas loves the single life, vowing to live it to the fullest. One and sometimes three a night. Till one day he breaks up a cat fight at one of the parties. When he takes one of the girls from the fight to a room to calm down, he is shocked. This plain girl has got some curves and she is feisty as hell. What would she be like? Well he does not get a chance to make a move. She blocks all his advances. Wow! That has never happened before. When a fire breaks out she tries to go in to save a dog he realizes there is a lot to this woman and he wants to know more. How can he convince her to give him a shot?
This book was funny, tragic and sweet all rolled into one. I loved the chemistry between Maddie and Nicholas. When something terrible happens Nicholas goes all knight and shining armor on her. Again it just goes to show that if you get into the Cocker inner circle then you are protected as one of their own. FAMILY!! That bond they have is strong and I love it.
The characters are amazing. Each one has a unique personality. The strength and bond the Cocker family has is amazing and they have each others back. No matter what. Ask any fan and they will tell you that their favorite part in each book is the ending where there is always a family BBQ with Grams yelling LANGUAGE!!! or someone fighting over the homemade ginger ale.
If you have not read this series, then I highly suggest you do. You are missing out on a wonderful book series that just gets better and better with each book. Full of humor, love, tragedy, trust, family and cockiness. Once you start you will become a fan for life. Nothing more exciting than when Faleena posts on Facebook that a book is live.
Loved this book. I also loved Cocky Roommate but can’t find it here, but I would give it 5 stars.
I love this because it made me smile – just like all the other Cocker family books. Well edited.
Maddie has been seeing Nicholas Cocker at parties for the last year. She has watched him kiss countless girls (and sometimes leave the room for a while…) while fighting her own attraction to him. However, she lives the life of the classic wallflower, and Nicholas never really sees her. Until, one night he does. There is a girl fight, a fire, a dog, heroism, and compassion. After that, Nicholas can’t stop thinking about the not so invisible girl that turned him down flat. Meanwhile, Maddie lives her life, eventually fighting off the unwanted attentions of her employer. Will Nicholas, self-confirmed bachelor, open up his heart to a possible future with one woman? Will Maddie give him a chance to win her heart? Will her employer try his slimy tactics again?
As always, it is great to get more of the Cocker family than just the one main character. Loved seeing Jeremy and Meagan again, as well as revisiting some of the past and bringing in Sofia Sol’s wedding. Love the laughter, the fun, the dedication to family, and always watching the language around Grams. Enjoy!
Wonderful
Madison has a crush on Nicholas but he doesn’t see her. He a playboy, she’s a nanny but they have been going to the same parties until the night she got into a fight and then between his rescue, the fire and the rescue of the dog things change.
Nicholas and Madison prove that lightning strikes when you least expect it. Madison has always been the type to fade into the background of life. It has it’s blessing but also it’s curses – case and point being oh so invisible to Demigods such as Nicholas Cocker. She’s not naive she knows he’s a player of the highest order, but just once it would be nice to live out the meet cute fantasy she has concocted in her fantasies. When the playboy all of a sudden turns his charm ray on her, she is somewhat suspect of his intentions. He’s not known for his staying prowess and she has enough dignity to not be one of the many. Nicholas has a very upfront love’em and leave’em policy in place. He never makes promises or leads anyone on – and leaves everyone feeling like a million bucks. Until he meets a saucy minx that isn’t swayed by his patented charms. Madison is the first girl ever to make him want to work for it and that excites and terrifies him. The Cockers are back joined by some funs friends and a furry companion to knock it out of the park.
I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book.
This has been one of my all-time favorite series… That being said, the last couple books have seemed more like novellas as oppose to the awesome storytelling I have come to expect. They seem rushed and predictable!! It really bugged me when Nickolas is talking in the phone with his mom and she keeps saying to him “Jeremy and I, instead of YOUR FATHER OR YOUR DAD!!
A huge fan of the Cocky series and have loved each and everyone of these books and this one was no exception. Nicholas at first might make you want to sleep his Cocker face but it will not take long for you to see beneath his arrogant exterior that below it lurks a heart the size of Atlanta. Maddie is a girl that doesn’t see that she is as beautiful on the outside as she is on the inside. Their story is one full of fun, laughter, drama, angst and passion. A great addition to this series and cannot wait for what the author has in store for us next.
