Niccolaio and Minka are broken yet strong and determined. They make selfless choices to protect their loved ones. I’m very glad that these two found each other. I loved having pieces of Asher included and seeing more of Ranieri. The ending was perfect in how the decree and King’s Will between the Syndicates came to be.
Such an explosive book and series, I can’t wait to read more…
This is one killer book, I’m hooked and want more. You fall in love with each of the characters in the book and in the series. While different there is something you can relate to. I look forward to reading the entire series.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I wasn’t sure if i was going to like this one, i always think the first book in the series is going to be better and also the heroine was not someone i thought i could like.
Well i was wrong on both accounts this book had an fantastic storyline and i was hooked from the start and again couldn’t put it down until i knew how this would end.
Both these characters were so broken form there family’s that you knew why these two would make a perfect pair, both thier pasts were hard to get past but what they learn from each other is to not dwell on the past move forward and forgive your past.
I wasn’t sure i would like Minka but i love it when an author can make you turn a 180 and really love the character by the end. I felt for what Minka went through and what she thought she had to do to help the ones she loves. She was so selfless and was not expecting her story to be what it was.
Niccolaio was a broody, hard to crack kind of guy but again you could understand why the way he was. I really liked him and you could tell there was an amazing loyal and good guy underneath his bravado and i couldn’t wait to see how his story would end either.
Another awesome book buy this author i was so glad i was introduced to her work, the story was fantastic, i lived again how we got saying/quotes at the beginning of each chapter about forgiveness, some of them really made me think about my life.
Absolutely loved everything about this book and can’t wait to read more of this author in the future.
A big big 5 awesome stars for this book
I love the Five Syndicate series
Parker S. Huntington has a way with the mafia bad boy. In Niccolaio Andretti she delves further into the Five Syndicates by bringing Minka, a pre-law graduate and all around mean girl, and Niccolaio, fixer and excommunicated member of the Andretti family. Their story is even darker personality wise than Asher Black, another great read and the first in the series. Driving the story is their individual goals that keep throwing them together. As with the first book excitement, betrayal, friendship and love keep driving the plot, however, there is a great deal of heartache and personal denial thrown in. Fair warning you may want to have a box of tissues handy at certain points. I can’t wait for the next in the series.
I received a free copy of the novel from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.
This is a powerful, passionate enemies to lovers story. Nick and Minka are both complex, complicated characters. These two will cause your emotions to waffle back and forth as sometimes they are so full of hate and pain it is impossible not to dislike them and then you catch a glimpse of something that shows how deeply wounded they are or tender, caring moment and your heart will melt for them.
