I added my friend Sage to my rugby club’s annual list of women who are off limits thinking I could protect her from the gorillas I play with. Never did I think I’d be the one to break the code and date her. Even if it’s all for show. A wager between friends. An excuse to hang out with her. Nothing more than that. *** The man-bun-sporting South African rugby god next door is my fake boyfriendWho … rugby god next door is my fake boyfriend
Who agrees to date their best friend over a green smoothie? Apparently this girl right here.
I need to rebuild my confidence after some poor dating decisions. Who could be better to fluff my ego than Aspen’s hottest bachelor?
This situation is a win-win.
Right?
Next to You is a friends-to-lovers standalone Romantic Comedy/Sports Romance set at high altitude.

Get inside Stan the Man Bun’s head as he slowly falls for his next door neighbor in this hot, charming book. A South African hero. Ahhhh! I floved him.
The quintessential friends-to-lovers book with a cast of characters — what a great world Daisy Prescott has built!
Entertaining read. Vivid descriptions had me laughing out loud.
This is my first Daisy Prescott book and I’m hooked.
Lee is a rugby player and known playboy, who lives next door to his best friend, Sage.
He’s tired of women hitting on him and concocts the idea to be in a fake relationship with Sage. The only problem, he’s in love with her and she doesn’t know it.
Sage, has never been with anyone sexually, but has had feelings for her best friend for quite some time now. When she decides to help him out and pretend to be his girlfriend, sparks fly and there’s no turning back.
With a happy ever after that will make you smile for days.
I’m looking forward to the rest of this series.
Absolutely loved this story! Lee and Sage just grabbed at my heart strings and loved reading their journey! Wish I had my own version of Lee, a hot rugby player with an accent. Then there is Sage, who is caring, yet independent. I couldn’t get enough of these two.
Such a fun read and my favorite romance trope, friends to lovers! Loved the characters and the community created in this story, looking forward to getting into the rest in this series!
Fun and flirty read
I really enjoyed this friends-to-lovers story. I loved Stan and Sage and their chemistry, the characters are great, love the storyline. This was such an enjoyable book with lots of love and romance. This was the first book of Daisy Prescott that I have read but it won’t be the last!!
Great book.
A witty and lighthearted look into the friends to lovers romp between Chicago native Sage and South African Stan/Lee (no, not the Marvel genius) in beautiful Aspen. I had to read this character driven book in one sitting, too clever to put down!
Great read!
A great series of well developed characters with happily ever Afters.
Enjoyable
This was a great story. It’s the first book I have read from Daisy and her writing is wonderful. The story made fall in love with the couple.
The best thing as a reader is discovering new authors, so I couldn’t wait to dive into Next To You as I’ve never read anything Daisy Prescott.
Guys what a phenomenal read.
Sage and Stan. Both living in Aspen. Best friends. Neighbors. They have the perfect best friend friendship, but it all changes when one simple bet is made.
Stan wins the bet, so Sage owes him big time.
But Stan the devil he is makes Sage wait….
Any guesses what it could be?
Nup, I didn’t pick it either.
Stan wants a relationship with Sage, but not the conventional type, but a fake one.
Sounds crazy right?
Well let me tell you it’s all kinds of crazy, but the best kind of crazy I’ve read.
This story took my breath away.
I only started this yesterday and I binged read it right until the end. I literally couldn’t put it down.
A light-hearted, warm, heartwarming and pure read with a whole lot of wit and charm it had me completely hooked. A love story that captured my heart. I loved everything about this novel.
For those who love a beautiful love story with a twist or two or three, I highly recommend Next To You.
5 stars.
Started, but did not like, so did not read.
So swoon worthy. A great story, that kept me smiling. Love books like that.
It is an excellent romantic story. Good summer reading. Well developed characters.
Sage and Lee were really great characters, well developed. The plot moves nicely and fits their personalities. Dual POV.
Read the whole series in a week!
I liked the characters and the snappy dialogue. It bogged down a bit at the end when the real world and real families entered the picture, but I have read others of hers.
Predictable, kinda cute. I like my characters a little more mature.
Cute and simple fast read with an uncomplicated easy to predict plot and characters.
