A lot can happen in twenty-four hours …Welcome to Seattle, the Emerald City and home to The Single Dads of Seattle. Ten sexy single fathers who play poker every Saturday night, have each other’s backs, love their children without quarter, and hope to one day find love again. This is Emmett’s story …Single dad of Seattle, Dr. Emmett Strong doesn’t believe in soulmates. Not since his ex-wife … soulmates. Not since his ex-wife blindsided him with divorce papers, breaking not just his heart, but his daughter’s, as well. Eighteen months later, it’s just the two of them and he intends to keep it that way. He won’t hurt Josie again by bringing another woman into her life. However, fate has other plans and on New Year’s Eve, sparks instantly fly when he bumps into the intriguing and beautiful Zara.
Single mom and flower shop owner, Zara Olsen, has no time–or patience–for wishy-washy men who can’t commit, so she’s definitely not going to fall for the unavailable doctor. But when Emmett keeps getting thrown into her path, and the two wind up at the same New Year’s Eve party, she wonders if fate is trying to tell her he’s not so unavailable after all. He’s funny and kind, the chemistry between them is sizzling and it’s almost midnight. It must be time for a kiss. But when she finally gives in to their attraction, she begins to regret it when Emmett starts acting strange.
Can Emmett set aside the past and reach for the bright future he could have with Zara, or will this New Year’s with the Single Dad end up being one Zara will remember, but would rather forget?
**Note: This book can be read as a standalone. It includes lots of steamy scenes, cursing, and of course as with all my books, this has an HEA and no cliffhanger or cheating. If you like single dads who take charge, this book is for you.

I am loving this series! Emmett is an ER doctor and single Dad of Jojo, that was blindsided by his Ex Wife with her betrayal and divorce. Zara is a florist and single Mom of Nolan. After several chance meetings, they meet again at a party where there are a lot of familiar faces from the series. They both have sizzling chemistry, but they have to learn to give love a second chance.

This was a quick fun read with some touching moments. I loved Zara and Emmett. Both of them had their reasons for mistrusting, but she had the more positive outlook despite her past. The steam between them was off the charts. Their children were cute and such sweethearts. I enjoyed all the secondary characters as well. This was my first story in this series, and I look forward to reading more. I recommend this story.
I received a copy of this story through Enticing Journey Book Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.
Emmett’s still dealing with the fallout from his divorce, and his ex-wife’s betrayal. He’s an ER physician, and never saw the divorce coming. He has an adorable little girl, and he’ll do anything to protect her heart. Zara’s first husband didn’t want children, and then had one with his new girlfriend. She is a florist, and has a son with her best friend, and they co-parent with no issues. Emmett and Zara first meet on New Year’s Eve, when they discover that they’re breakfast twins. They meet again in the ER when she cuts her hand on a broken vase. And a third time when their mutual friends host a (matchmaking) party. Their children hit it off as well as they do. But Emmett’s still having control issues, and things with Zara are not going to progress according to the rules, and he’s running hot and cold with her. And she didn’t get to ask him her “three questions”. This is a wonderful story. These two have sizzling chemistry together, and I was rooting for them the whole time. Her “three questions” – just love that they will reveal so much about a person. And the Rage Room?!? What a great idea!! I love every book in this series, and am looking forward to the next one.

24hrs!! Yep that’s all it took for these two, Emmett and Zora, to meet and realize what they could have and what they really wanted! The way they meet and how they keep running into each other is just pure sweet kismet! I loved Emmett, his sweet and cute caring side, as well as his strength and determination, though at times I wanted to strangle him. Zora, well she was easy to relate to and I liked that she wasn’t one to take any crap. The 2 sweet kidlets were adorable beyond compare and i seriously loved them to bits!!! I can’t wait for our next Single Dad of Seattle!!
I always look forward to reading a Whitley Cox book… I know it will be filled with laughs, witty-banter, and people who are meant to be together whether they know it or not!! New Year’s with the single dad had all that and then some!! Zara and Emmett where perfect together and their story was exactly what i hoped it would be!! Who doesnt love single parents who deserve their happily ever afters a second time around!! Kudos to Whitley for another 5-star read!! Im definitely looking forward to Masons story next (the little snippet at the end was a plesant surprise!!)
By no means, Emmett is a perfect H but these series have stolen my heart and Zara gosh I adored her and their kids stole the show.
This is an emotional read with vulnerability, relatable characters, and an entertaining read.

Another 5 STARS for the new book New Years With The Single Dad, The Single Dads Of Seattle Series. I loved Emmett and Zara’s story. The chemistry is hot between them from the start. Whitley Cox is delivering fabulous Stories in this series. The Single Dads Of Seattle are hot sexy single but loyal, faithful, passionate and lovable with each not expecting to find love when they least expect it.
It’s one big family all looking out for each other and helping them. Whitley Cox just gets better and better with each story love her so much
I just loved Emmett and Zara’s book this is the sixth book in the Single Dads of Seattle Series and it was just as good if not better than the previous books. After a failed marriage can Dr. Strong find love again with a florist? Check out this fantastic book to find out.
Single father meets single mother at her flower shop. Then he sees her once again at a New Year’s Eve party. Good romance and read.

Elliott – why are you so frustrating??? Making all sexy with the lovely Zara, being flirtatious and funny, charming the little peeps and even buying flowers while allowing JoJo to claim credit. BUT, then you go and do the dumb thing. Makes me wonder why women put up with men. Oh yeah! Because they warm the bed up nicely. Grab things off the top shelf. And allow our inner confidence to shine. Book 6 in the series about the “single dad”.
An Er Dr. Emmett is still reeling from his wife leaving him and their daughter. When he meets Zara plans change. Emotions run wild and he does his best to protect the most important person from more pain. Even if it means being an asshole and then pleading forgiveness. Zara is beyond patient and polite while her son tries to play match maker. Stuffies, kids and a wine barrel…. what could possibly happen at a New Years Eve matchmaking party!?
I received an Advanced Reader Copy. I am voluntarily leaving a review. Dr Emmett is a stickler for rules and order. Especially with his now ex-wife throwing chaos into his kid’s life. So when he meets Zara, ordering the exact same thing at the coffee shop, then he runs into her a second, then a third time all on the same day, he decides to explore something more. But it becomes chaotic. Can this become something real or is he just incapable of flexing? Ms Cox is a wonderful writer. This is just the quick read you need for a cold night or a snowed-in day.
The book is a good holiday romantic comedy read. The story has a good story line. The characters are good, and they have good chemistry. The story is an enjoyable funny holiday romance read.

Another great book in the Single Dads of Seattle Series with single dad Dr. Emmett Strong who is not looking for a relationship who is not looking for a relationship he is happy with just him and his daughter. Zara Olsen is a busy woman managing her shop and taking care of her son she has not time for a man playing games. The thing is they keep running into each other and their children are just too cute in this story. Loved the characters and the story plot.

Love, love this series!!! Love each new story more than the previous. But in actuality, I can’t pick my favorite. But this one definitely one of my favs. It is well-written with wonderful characters. There is definitely chemistry but they also clicked together. It was a wonderful story. Will definitely read it again.
New Year’s with the Single Dad by Whitley Cox. Emmett and Zara make a great addition to the Single Dads of Seattle series. I found this short story to be enjoyable with a good mix of drama, humor, passion, and strong characters. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
What are the odds that two people order the same thing at the same time, standing right next to each other? Single dad Emmett wondered that the day he met Zara. When he heard his order being echoed by the other patron of the coffee shop he stopped into before his shift at the hospital. After a quick chat while waiting for their orders, they went their separate ways. Emmett wasn’t looking for anyone. He’s raising his daughter and still nurturing his bruised heart. He didn’t even want to think about a relationship.
Zara’s a little more open to a relationship. Even after her ex-husband lied and cheated, she knew she’d find someone again. Someone who’d want the same things she did.
An interesting story, with both characters having so much in common. It was nice to see the story develop, to see where it would go. I’m not going to give the story away, it’s definitely worth the read.
Emmett and Zara’s story is one of the stories in the Single Dads of Seattle series. I have read one other (Christmas with the Single Dad), but they are written in such a way that you can just jump in and you won’t be lost.
I am fast becoming a fan of Ms. Cox and can’t wait to see what’s coming next.
*I received an ARC of this story and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Emmett is still reeling from the betrayal of his wife when she left him and their daughter. All he has is questions about why and what could he have done differently to keep his family together. He has decided that the only female he will allow into his heart is his daughter JoJo.
Zara has a painful past of her own and after her divorce she focused on what would make her happy and that was her son Nolan and her career. She wants love and a relationship but in the interim she is content with her life the way it is.
A chance meeting between Zara and Emmett leads to them bumping into each other and there is no denying the chemistry and connection between them but are they willing to open their hearts and lives to each other to see what they could have together?
New Year’s With The Single Dad was like fireworks going off in your heart, the connection between Emmett and Zara is instantaneous and after several accidental meetings in one day, just maybe this was a sign. As chemistry rages between these two and the attraction heats up, old wounds, hard and fast rules and jaded thoughts might be just enough to stand in the way of what could be a life changing midnight kiss. The little humans in this story play an important part and will claim your heart quicker than their parents do. My emotions went from one extreme to the other as midnight approached. A story that had my feelings ranging from anxious, happy, torn, teary and at times utterly frustrated by the change in temperature. Emmett and Zara brought the heat and the steam to a whole new level as midnight drew close but they also brought understanding, compassion and a realization that giving love a second chance might just be the best New Year’s resolution ever.
