A lot can happen in twenty-four hours …Welcome to Seattle, the Emerald City and home to The Single Dads of Seattle. Ten sexy single fathers who play poker every Saturday night, have each other’s backs, love their children without quarter, and hope to one day find love again. This is Emmett’s story …Single dad of Seattle, Dr. Emmett Strong doesn’t believe in soulmates. Not since his ex-wife … soulmates. Not since his ex-wife blindsided him with divorce papers, breaking not just his heart, but his daughter’s, as well. Eighteen months later, it’s just the two of them and he intends to keep it that way. He won’t hurt Josie again by bringing another woman into her life. However, fate has other plans and on New Year’s Eve, sparks instantly fly when he bumps into the intriguing and beautiful Zara.
Single mom and flower shop owner, Zara Olsen, has no time–or patience–for wishy-washy men who can’t commit, so she’s definitely not going to fall for the unavailable doctor. But when Emmett keeps getting thrown into her path, and the two wind up at the same New Year’s Eve party, she wonders if fate is trying to tell her he’s not so unavailable after all. He’s funny and kind, the chemistry between them is sizzling and it’s almost midnight. It must be time for a kiss. But when she finally gives in to their attraction, she begins to regret it when Emmett starts acting strange.
Can Emmett set aside the past and reach for the bright future he could have with Zara, or will this New Year’s with the Single Dad end up being one Zara will remember, but would rather forget?
**Note: This book can be read as a standalone. It includes lots of steamy scenes, cursing, and of course as with all my books, this has an HEA and no cliffhanger or cheating. If you like single dads who take charge, this book is for you.

The last thing Dr. Emmett Strong is looking for is love, even when he has an instant connection in a coffee shop with a woman who orders the exact same breakfast as he does at the exact same time. Is is fate? What happens when that same woman is the one who your friends have set you up with at a New Year’s Eve party – again is is fate? When sparks fly and passion ignites at the party can this be the start of something good for Emmett and Zara? Or will the rules he has put in place to save the feeling of his young daughter be a slap in the face and end the relationship before the clock strikes twelve? This series keeps getting better and better with every new addition. Not only is the reader given a beautifully written love story but also they are given an insight on just how hard it is to be a single parent. I cannot wait for more in the series.
I’ve been waiting for Emmett’s story and the wait was so worth it. I absolutely love JoJo and I fell in love with Nolan and Zara, well she’s the perfect match for Emmett. When Emmett meets his breakfast twin, she’s breathtaking and they flirt like crazy and then she’s gone just like that. One chance meeting is awesome, but two more is fate stepping in to take over. Emmett has rules in place to guard his heart and he’s about to find out that sometimes rules are meant to be broken. He’s doctor McHottie to her and their chemistry is off the charts hot, steamy and sexy. Zara challenges him the way he needs to be challenged, to be better for himself and JoJo. Emmett can be hard headed and stuck in his ways, but when he goes too far, will he be able to see the light and become a better man to keep the woman who means everything to him? I love the interaction with the other single dads, this series is just so much fun, loving and their stories really get to the heart of things. I have to say with Emmett’s story the kids were the best, cute, funny and adorable. We get a little taste of Mason’s story and I can’t wait to see what happens with him. Awesome read, absolutely loved it!! I received a copy of this book.
This is the six book in The Single Dad Of Seattle.
Zara was working in her florist shop when she badly cut her hand.
She went to the hospital and that’s where she met Emmitt who is
the doctor who fixed her up.
Later that night both of them ended up at the same New Years party
which was a kid friendly party.
The hole plot is set around Zara and Emmett and each of their kids getting
to know each other.
It’s a sweet read with a little drama as well.
I absolutely recommend this book.

This book was the wonderful mix of sweet, steamy, hilarious, angsty, healing, and swoony. Emmett is an ER physician and a single dad. He’s jaded about love after he was blindsided by his divorce. Zara is a single mom and a florist. She still believes in love. A series of unrelated encounters between Zara and Emmett in a 24 hour period seem to be driving them together and the sparks are undeniable. But to get to their HEA they both need to look at and deal with their baggage. There was growth for both characters and the interactions with their children made the characters more relatable and real. This is a new to me author and I will definitely read more from her.
#SingleDad #SingleMom
Fate pays a hand bringing Zara and Emmett together multiple times in a day. Their romance is written in third person from alternating dual POV.
Zara is a single mom of her seven year old son, an entrepreneur, and a lady who is still looking for her HEA. Emmett has been jaded by a nasty divorce that resulted in shared custody of his 5 year old daughter and a broken heart. They hit it off immediately. Emmett has to learn to accept that not all things are in his control. I love how Zara is honest and straight with Emmett. She is my hero and all women should have her attitude. Though unfailingly kind, she doesn’t put up with the crap and is not willing to take on a project. Emmett figures out fast that he has to get his act together.
There is a lot of heat, the kids are beyond adorable, and there are a few laughs in this single parent romance that ends with a fabulous HEA. I can’t wait to read more books in this series.
Fate has a plan if only he can recognize it
New Year’s with the Single Dad is the sixth book in The Single Dads of Seattle series. I have read several books in this series and enjoyed them. The story of Emmett Strong and Zara Olsen does not disappoint either. Once again the author has written a book book where the characters are wonderful and have deepth. The story-line is emotional, engaging and has your heart breaking and then flying for these two every time their paths cross in the most unexpected and random way. The question really becomes at which meeting will Emmett finally ask her out on a date, as they fate just keeps hitting him over the head about her!
I quite enjoyed this story and found it to be a wonderful addition to the series.
I absolutely loved this book and was honored to have been able to read and review. It was such a phenomenal read and had amazing characters as well as an amazing story line. I just could not get enough of it and once I started reading it I could not put it down. I recommend that you read it.
Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters were interesting. Once I started I could not get enough from start to finish with twist and turns with Emmett single father had a sour taste in his mouth when it came to women. Zara single mum had a bad experience so she finds she wants a man that knows what he wants. It was a sexy, loveable, cute story.

This book is another look into the world of single parent dating and how it takes a village! Love how all of the Single Dad’s club members are rough around the edges, but deep down are giant teddy bears!
We are back in Seattle and if you have read any of the books in this series, you met Emmett Strong. He is friend’s with all the Seattle Single Dad’s.
Emmett is an ER doctor who was shocked when his ex asked for a divorce. The bitter battle left him and his sweet 5 year old daughter devastated. It also left him not only with a broken heart, but anti-love and marriage.
Zara Olsen, is a florist and a single Mom who ends up meeting Emmett by chance four times within 24 hours. Though the attraction was evident, he ends up hurting her.
Will Emmett be able to give up his anger and find love again, or will his broken heart, anger, and over protective instinct when it comes to his daughter, deny him of happiness?
Another well written story by this author.
The Single Dad’s of Seattle I haven’t read the other books in this series but after reading this book I plan to check the others out. Dr Emmett has closed his heart off after his wife asked for a divorce , he’s too afraid to bring another woman into his life he needs to protect his daughters heart and his own. This is book six in this wonderful series. ER doctor Emmett meets flower shop owner Zara several times in one day. The last is at a New Year’s Eve party they both attend with their kids. Zara and Emmett meet at a coffee shop when they order the same coffee and bagel combo. They chat while waiting for their orders and go about their day. Zara ends up in the ER with a cut on her hand trying to walk around the lady at the front desk when her hand starts bleeding again. As Luck would have it she runs into Emmett again. Emmett is a doctor at the hospital that she went to. Emmett is startled when he sees Zara again but he immediately starts working on fixing her hand. Before they have a chance to exchange info he is beeped and called away. Zara is working later that evening in her flower shop when Emmett comes in for flowers he needs to takes for a party he’s a guest for. When Zara sees him she smiles and he laughs because of how many times they have run into each other. She wraps up his flowers and sends him on his ways so she can get both her and her son ready for the party they are heading out to. What are the chances that she’ll run into Emmett again? Will Emmett finally make a move?
This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

What a phenomenally heartwarming story about 2 single parents; one attempting to find love and one too afraid to open his heart following a devastating end to his marriage. Emmett is an ER doctor who is a little jaded by love and wants to keep any relationship his has separate from his daughter for a time until he meets Zara. Zara is a single mom who owns a flower shop and wants to find a lasting love. When Zara and Emmett meet at a New Year’s party for singles, sparks fly and their children become fast friends yet will Emmett be able to overcome his fears and hangups and find love? New Year’s with the Single Dad is a heartwarming captivating must read about single parents trying to find happiness after painful pasts. Filled with heartache, resentment, anger, tears, forgiveness, fears, healing, passion, an instant connection, jealousy, and love. I loved this new book from Whitley Cox and I can’t wait to read the other books in the series.

I really enjoyed Emmett and Zara’s story. I loved the idea of fate intervening after they ran into each other multiple times in the same day. I loved how their children really pulled for getting them together, and the relationship that Emmett developed with Zara’s son.

Zara owns a flower shop. She is sassy, doesn’t hold back. She is open minded and she will express herself without any drama.
Thy are moving fast with their relationship until Dad pull holds on everything because he doesn’t feel secure.

This new book explores the lives of Emmett and Zara.
Emmett is a single dad, that spends his time at the hospital or raising his daughter. He had a tough time when his divorce happened mainly because he couldn’t be apart from his daughter. He doesn’t have any intention of falling in love again until…
Zara is also a single mom. She owns a flower shop and loves it. She wants the best for her son and with her best friend she is doing just that. She’s used to speaking what’s on her mind and when she meets the charismatic Dr. Strong…
