Be careful what you ask an android to do… android.
Sang’s investigation trips off chain reactions which shift the generations-old luke-warm war between Erium and Karassia into a galaxy-wide conflagration which will engulf the known worlds, including the neutral, fiercely independent free states…unless a hero can be found who will fight to hold the line against the two colossal forces.

Praise for New Star Rising:
You won’t be disappointed if you’re looking for a journey into a never-explored futuristic world before.
It is not a novel that can be skimmed through. Take your time and enjoy the new world that is presented to you.
This novel is fascinating for its rich and complex story line set on multiple planets/worlds.
What an amazing book from start to finish.
What is there not to like? I found myself digging into this book and disappointed at the end of it because I wanted more now rather than having to wait for the next book.
A complex story line that draws you in then keeps you engaged. Nothing formulaic.
Well thought out story. The science fiction components are consistent.
Science fiction with real science! LaGrange points – I am so giddy.
Roller coaster of a story following fabulous characters who move through varying planet and spacecraft environments whilst always dealing with a war that’s not a war!
Waring enemies setting each other up to eliminate another enemy. Throw in a “neutral” entity that does lots of dirty work and this book has all the makings for a great series.

The author is going pure scifi in this one, no paranormal, no romance. We have a great world builder here and who knows a possible future of mankind. There are androids made for everything you can think of. But androids are not always as they seem for there is evil behind missing humans; humans that are remade for a variety of duties, from sex to super-hero’s. Those in charge think they have it all, control, money, worlds, and all they have to do is wipe out a persons past, add some electronics here and there, moving parts and the most important, control their minds. With help of a family android and a human (hmmm) one of these, a super-hero woman, is rescued and returned to her loving family who have missed her for 10 years. But be sure not to ask her opinion on the matter. Rebellion is on the horizon, along with a possible intergalactic war. What can humans due when their surrounded by mind controlled androids and their evil masters (just had to say that it sounds cool). Well to find out the who, why, and where you’ll have to get, read, and don’t forget review, this foray into the unknown possibilities of Sci-Fi. I recommend to all those who love to read of possible and impossible beings and worlds.
Good story.
You know things are messed up when you send the house android on an important mission.
This is book one of what promises to be a complex space opera series. The story is very well written with a multi-layered plot that will keep you on your toes. The characters are also well developed and certainly help to bring the story to life. I enjoyed experiencing this from the android’s perspective as that was a bit fresh and different. The story is a little heavy on the politics for my tastes, and I am afraid I am going to need a score card to keep up with the various players and the twists and turns they take.
Overall, a very engaging read which kept me interested to the end. I am definitely anxious to read the next book and see where this is going.
Recommended.
I received an ARC from the author for review purposes.
Excellent Sci-Fi Adventure!!
This is an intricate and complex sci-fi story. Cam Cooper creates a world which is widely diverse from what the reader knows; but presents it in such a creative and engaging way we do not become confused, but become a part of the world which evolves as we read.
To describe further, would be to ruin the surprises which await you as you engage in this Sci-fi adventure!!
**I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book**
Bellona/Xenia is rescued and returned to her family on her home planet. Will she ever fit it there again? And what about her saviors, Sang and Ari/Khalil? Is there honor on either side in the war between the Karassians and the Eriumans? This exciting story introduces a sweeping new universe badly in need of a hero – or a heroine. Buckle up and hold on!
