FBI agent Cookie James is enjoying her extended leave from the agency on Secret Seal Isle, managing her quaint inn and flirting with the oh-so sexy-handyman, Dylan Creed…until her sixty-year-old mother goes skinny dipping and is almost drowned by a corpse.A phone call to the sheriff should mean the end of Cookie’s involvement, but when it’s clear the sheriff has no interest in the investigation, … investigation, Cookie calls in reinforcements…her ex-partner Hunter O’Neil. Suddenly it’s like old times while the pair questions the residents of Secret Seal Isle. Except it’s not. Now she has both Hunter and Dylan vying for her attention, a wayward hippy mother, and a potential killer on the loose.
With her love life heating up, her mother lighting up, and all signs pointing to the most unlikely suspect, Cookie does the only thing she knows to do—focus on solving the case.

More romance than mystery.
It was ok for simple light read.
God book for a rainy afternoon. Easy reading but not boring. Recommended for a light story.
Good characters and plot. Would now like to read sequel
Good entertainment
Lost interest after first chapter. Just not my kind of book.
It was good “fun” read!
Easy read for a lazy day
Nice light read.
New Corpse in Town was entertaining, but really more of a romance novel disguised as a mystery.
Interesting, funny at times, mystery with a bit of romance.
Very enjoyable and quick read. Love the characters, the hint of romance and the plot that actually makes sense.
Nice, easy read.
Loved it can’t wait to read more
I had a good time reading this book. It made me want to go to Maine & explore the islands off the coast. I also wish I were younger & could have a career as an FBI agent.
It made me think a 13 year old girl wrote it with the most common adjective being hot and the main character drooling over the male characters. Bleh!
Light-weight mystery + a “which guy should I choose” dilemma = a quick, pleasant read.
Just a nice, fun book to read. I’ll be on the lookout for more by this author.
Surprised by whodunnit.
This felt like a waste of time.
