FBI agent Cookie James is enjoying her extended leave from the agency on Secret Seal Isle, managing her quaint inn and flirting with the oh-so sexy-handyman, Dylan Creed…until her sixty-year-old mother goes skinny dipping and is almost drowned by a corpse.A phone call to the sheriff should mean the end of Cookie’s involvement, but when it’s clear the sheriff has no interest in the investigation, … investigation, Cookie calls in reinforcements…her ex-partner Hunter O’Neil. Suddenly it’s like old times while the pair questions the residents of Secret Seal Isle. Except it’s not. Now she has both Hunter and Dylan vying for her attention, a wayward hippy mother, and a potential killer on the loose.
With her love life heating up, her mother lighting up, and all signs pointing to the most unlikely suspect, Cookie does the only thing she knows to do—focus on solving the case.

Boring from the beginning. I don’t intend to finish this book.
I enjoy reading this book!
O give books at least to the third chapter to decide if I like it enough to continue and this book did not do it for me 🙁
Just enough hot, hot, hot romance!
Fun, quick read. Nothing overly complicated or involved.
good mix of attraction and detection action without the obligatory sex junk
just okay, nothing more than that
Was a page turner but some of the characters were a bit stereotyped.
Slow read. It read as though it was setting up other books.
Great read! I love Mysteries and this one is great plus has two romantic interest to boot!
Totally unbelievable plot and winning characters. The mother was fun and caused me to give this a four instead of three. A fun afternoon read.
alright not great
Country France was well set. The characters were all developed well and real. This is a read that kept me interested. Hope to see more from Ms. Quinn.
If the main character is hiding from the mob, why care about a dead body, why involve the FBI and why so adamant about helping. If the deceased was a good friend or family member I could understand. Premise made no sense to me so I stopped reading.
Double trouble with two sexy guys to complicate murder mysteries and a quirky mother to add humor and interest
I like the straightforward relationships, and the uncluttered approach to the story, without vulgarity and steamy sex scenes.
I enjoyed reading this book until I realized that her character was ridiculously unable to make decisions about men and would be so in all the rest of the series. This was one of the few books where after enjoying most of the book, I did not order any of the rest of her series.
Good book
This was a cute story, part mystery, part romance
Entertaining book but not interested in following this series.
