FBI agent Cookie James is enjoying her extended leave from the agency on Secret Seal Isle, managing her quaint inn and flirting with the oh-so sexy-handyman, Dylan Creed…until her sixty-year-old mother goes skinny dipping and is almost drowned by a corpse.A phone call to the sheriff should mean the end of Cookie’s involvement, but when it’s clear the sheriff has no interest in the investigation, … investigation, Cookie calls in reinforcements…her ex-partner Hunter O’Neil. Suddenly it’s like old times while the pair questions the residents of Secret Seal Isle. Except it’s not. Now she has both Hunter and Dylan vying for her attention, a wayward hippy mother, and a potential killer on the loose.
With her love life heating up, her mother lighting up, and all signs pointing to the most unlikely suspect, Cookie does the only thing she knows to do—focus on solving the case.

This book is a fun read!
Enjoyed a lot. Relaxing easy enjoyable read. Will look for more by this author.
It was okay
Easy reading,,,,enjoyable
Book was good but the ending seemed sudden and not quite complete.
The main character has a realistic dilemma after leaving a fast-paced, stimulating job. Some of the characters and situations are not as realistic, but they are amusing. It was a fun read.
i like the whole series
Love the continuous action and all the humor.
This book moved fast was intriguing. I loved the characters.
I love these books because they are quick to read and gives our imagination a vacation that is witty and ends well.
Cute story
Fun read. Kept me entertained.
This one just wasn’t for me as I had trouble staying interested.
First book in series, plan to read more
Good introduction to the series.
Nice change from gore
Throughly enjoyed!
This book can’t decide what it wants to be: a mystery or just another bodice-ripper. I so wanted to like it and I just can’t. So much of the book is focused on lustful gazes and testosterone battles (not that I’m anti either of those) that it seems to have lost the story line of what could have been a pretty interesting mystery.
Realistic-ish and funny. I so relate to the “mother-is-a-problem” issue–from both sides! I will look forward to reading more.
Enjoyed this quick read.
