A surly rake and a desperate lady… Lady Cristina Ducat might not be as clever as her sisters, but she knows when action is required. Her mother seems set on arranging an unwanted marriage for Cristina, but Cristina has plans of her own. She’s got the perfect man all picked out. The problem? The Earl of Clearwood, Sirius Renwall, keeps getting in her way. Not only is Si annoying beyond measure … measure with his dark and brooding demeanor, but he makes her heart beat in the most curious and exhilarating way.
Lady Cristina is a spoiled brat. Si wants nothing to do with her, or with the bet he made weeks ago that requires him to collect a kiss from her. So what if she’s stunningly beautiful? Who cares that she’s in trouble? Except…Si does care. For the more he gets to know her, the more he realizes that her brash façade hides a heart that loves fiercely. The question then becomes, is her love strong enough to fight back the demons that have plagued him since the last time he gave away his heart? Or is he destined to have his heart for the second and final time?
This is a standalone romance but is part of a five book series with a prologue:
How to Reform a Rake
Don’t Tell a Duke You Love Him
Meddle in a Marquess’s Affairs
Never Trust an Errant Earl
Never Kiss an Earl at Midnight
Make a Viscount Beg
more
Never Trust An Errant Earl by Tammy Andresen is a spectacular historical romance. Ms. Andresen has given readers a book that will keep them glued to their reading device. Cristina has run to her sister Lily when her mother refused to accept her choice of men as a husband, interrupting her sister Camille’s wedding. Si, Lord Sirius Renwall, took part in a bet to steal a kiss from a Ducat sister. A bet he wants no part of, especially since the first two kisses ended in marriage. He wants no part of Cristina or marriage. Si and Cristina’s story is loaded with drama, humor, sexy bits, action and suspense. I enjoyed every page of this book and look forward to my next book by Tammy Andresen. Never Trust An Errant Earl is book 3 of the How to Reform a Rake Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book that I received from a third party. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This series is getting even better with each new book.
During the first chapter I do worried if I would even like Cristina, she was drawn as a spoiled brat then I adored how she bickered with Sirius, answering with claws to his scratches. Cristina was so much more than any first impression she gives. Yes, she has a habit to act first and think later, but it is the way she is and it is always with a good reason in her mind.
Si is a good man who was wounded by a past lover, since he avoids love like the plague.
Their non wooing story was cute and funny, they do everything the wrong way but as they are destined mates, they find their path to one another.
For a short read, it was full of actions, friendship and family’s love and some sexy time.
Can’t wait to read Victoria and Key’s story.
A surly rake and a desperate lady…..makes for light-hearted and humourous reading. Storming her sister’s wedding in a bid to escape her mother’s malicious plans, Cristina finds herself being weighed and found wanting by Sirius, Earl of Clearwood. However, that is no concern of hers as all Cristina Ducat wants is a husband that loves her and a way out of having to deal with her mother. However, Cristina’s new brother-in-law ropes Si in to assist with keeping Cristina safe, knowing that Lady Rosemond will not let up until she has achieved her own objectives. In protecting Cristina, Si discovers that he is not as immune to her charms as he would have liked to think. The story is romantic, entertaining and made me laugh as the group of friends go down one at a time like nine pins at the feet of the Ducat sisters. This novelette is part of a series but it is nevertheless a standalone and comes to a happy conclusion. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Happiness is seeing another addition to this wonderful series by Tammy Andresen!! It has been so much fun and I could not wait to see another rake taken down by one of the Ducat sisters!! This is the story of Si and Lady Christina Ducat.
When he and his four friends had been traveling together they were standed at a brothel. They they ended up in a room with a gypsy named Vadonna and a predication for the five of them. To top it all off they had made a bet to each other to kiss one of the five Ducat sisters! Now, two of his friend’s had married one of the same sisters!
Christina Ducat was a spoiled brat! Or at least that was Si’s first thought after he got over how flawlessly beautiful she was when he saw her. But no, no, he would not kiss her as the gypsy predicted. Right?
Christina’s mother was set on getting her married off, but she had her own plan and a man picked out. That is if Si would get out of her way!
A delightful, fun, romantic and some tension that pulls the story through to a ending that will leave a heartsmile!
Five friends make a bet on a snowy Christmas Eve that each one will kiss a Ducat sibling
Lady Cristina Ducat might not be as clever as her sisters, but she knows when action is required. Her mother seems set on arranging an unwanted marriage for Cristina, but Cristina has plans of her own. She’s got the perfect man all picked out. However The Earl of Clearwood, Sirius Renwall, keeps getting in her way. This is the third book in the series & whilst it could be read on its own the whole series is lovely & leaves you with a feel good factor. The characters are well portrayed & very likeable. Si & Cristina are delightful, they are attracted to each other but she aims to marry someone else & he’s a confirmed bachelor, when they are thrown together they come to like & respect each other whilst falling in love & of course there is that bet & Vadoma
My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read
I absolutely love this series -Tammy has created stories that are different, fun, romantic & the characters are ones to fall in love with in every book in the series! It starts out with 5 handsome, rich, roguish bachelors who all want to stay that way but a bet on a snowed-in Christmas Eve (overseen by the gypsy, Vadoma) has them all agreeing to each kiss one of the beautiful Ducat sisters by drawing Tarot cards.
The 3rd book finds Lady Cristina Ducat running to her sister after being sent away by her mother. Lady Christina interrupts her sister’s wedding & all 5 sisters must meet to solve Christina’s dilemma.
Si, Lord Sirus Renwall is a guest at the wedding & one of the men that took part in the bet to steal a kiss from a Ducat sister – Christina was the card he drew. He; however, does not want to participate – he doesn’t want marriage & now the 2nd of his friends was about to marry a Ducat sister.
This book had it all for me – humor, hilarious sisters, suspense, drama, some spicy parts, romance, love, action & a HEA! I can’t wait for the next in the series & would highly recommend this book & the whole series to all historical romance readers!
