“Hilarious, full of friendship and romance with a huge side-order of comedy. Perfect light hearted escapism!” Kitty French, USA Today bestselling author.Abbie Carter felt doomed as she clutched her bouquet and started walking up the aisle. Again. She felt like she was stuck in some kind of Groundhog Day wedding nightmare. Always the bridesmaid, never the bride. Eight dresses, most of them … dresses, most of them hideous, were already stuffed in her attic space. She had more bridesmaid dresses than relationships. Was she really that unlucky in love? She despaired of ever finding her soul mate and was convinced that if she packed away dress thirteen in her attic, she’d never get to wear the coveted white one and have her happy ever after.
That was until she locked eyes with one of the handsome ushers, whose wink turned her elegant and well-practiced glide up the aisle into a flailing Bambi-on-ice spectacle. Miller Davis was the first man in forever to make her heart skip a beat, as well as her legs turn to jelly. And, for once, her interest in a man didn’t seem to be one-sided. It was just a shame that the Atlantic Ocean separated them. Abbie couldn’t even make a relationship with her elderly fat pooch, Sumo, work, so what chance did she have with a permanent New Yorker? Her best friend, Georgie, told her to ignore the miles that separated her from Miller and to go for it, saying that true love knew no bounds.
Was Abbie fated to always be the bridesmaid, or would her wish for the perfect day with the man of her dreams ever come true?
A laugh-out-loud novel from Charlotte Fallowfield, Amazon U.K. #1 bestselling contemporary romance author of Until We Collide.
While Never The Bride is a standalone story, it’s the first in the Dilbury Village series of romantic comedy novels. All of them will be set in the quaint fictitious English hamlet in the Shropshire countryside, but feature a different village couples’ story.
Warning, if you are of a sensitive disposition when it comes to toilet humour, then the Dilbury Village series may not be for you!

This book was so unexpected. I didn’t expect to laugh so hard one moment and then cry the next. Really enjoyed the characters and how they interacted with each other. I also appreciated a realistic happy ending, not some fairy tale. I highly recommend it if you want a few good laughs.
This story got pretty silly at times, but it made me laugh out loud. Despite some scenes being over the top unrealistic, I enjoyed the story.
I like it.
I like the town Dilbury. Reminds me of The Holiday. Likeable characters. That being said writer is a little too obsessed with poop episodes that drag on though which I find gross, not funny. Maybe it’s a British thing. I had to fast forward through those parts
Laughed out loud many times. Very entertaining.
Nice story. Felt a part of the main character’s experiences.
LOVED this book! Author great with details and really got the reader “into” the book!
This book had me laughing hysterically. I LOVED it! The romance, the humor, and even the sad moments meshed together so well to make this a perfect book!
Loved the story, it takes place in England and they play on the fact that things mean different thing in America. Laughed out loud. Looking forward to the next book in the series.
Really good until the last 20%. Then it got too predictable and way too happily ever after.
Wonderfully funny, absolutely loved this book! I never laughed so hard reading it. You will enjoy it if have ever been a bridesmaid more than a few times.
Only read if you like bathroom subjects and body function humor, as that’s the vast majority of the book.
Delightful read.
Could have done with fewer references to scatology!
A most enjoyable read! This book sweeps you into a fun story with characters you’d like as friends. Well most of them anyway. Highly recommend!
LOL through most of the story!
Great read, to distract you from the turmoil if the depressing news from around the world.
Hilariously good read!!!
Always a bridesmaid never a bride rings true for some more than others. This was a hilarious tale about a woman in that situation who meets a dreamboat, but will it last…? Things go wrong left and right, things that I found myself thinking “oh goodness something like that would happen to me” there were sad and frustrating moments but the hilarious and awkward ones FAR surpassed the former. If you want to belly laugh this book is a must!
found it hard to put it down. it had a good flow.
OMG! Funniest book, and the most fun book, I have read in a long time! Even my husband cracked up the few times I forced him to listen to me read him some parts.
I enjoyed reading this book at the beach… light humor and happy ending.
