…If a kickass middle-aged bookkeeper got sucked into a spy’s life… troubles are over. But Kane’s investigation implicates her in a techno-espionage plot, and criminal charges become the least of her worries when she finds herself in the crosshairs of the same dangerous group Kane suspects her of aiding.
Armed with only her analytical mind, a warped sense of humour, and a penchant for profanity, Aydan faces off against international spies and an RCMP officer who’s not what he seems.
Pity her enemies. Because nobody’s tougher than a middle-aged woman who wants her dream back.

Thrillers with humour and heart
Contains coarse language, moderate violence, and sexuality. The story can stand alone but will be more enjoyable if the series is read in order.
“Fierce and fantastic – a totally different type of heroine who keeps you clinging to the edge of your seat!”
If Janet Evanovich’s quirky humour met Robert Ludlum’s taut thrillers, the Never Say Spy series would be their love child: racy, fun, and action-packed.

Her whole Spy series is great! I keep waiting for the next one to come out. She’s an accountant who suddenly has to become a spy. Her adventures are amazing, often amusing and sometimes scary. Start at the beginning and read them all!
I enjoyed the mystery but was disappointed in the lack of character development. The reader doesn’t know too much more about who Ayden is at the end than at the beginning. Is she a spy? Who are her friends and family. Other than being told she is a bookkeeper, we learn little else.
I wasn’t expecting to like this book as much as I did. I don’t think the summary does it (or the series justice). It’s a fun read, and the characters are well written. The protagonist is a grown woman who has fears and flaws but doesn’t need saving which is very refreshing. She’s also funny, swears a lot, and has sex (nothing too explicit). I’d …
Would like to see more by this author.
I didn’t like this book , too unrealistic
A good book but a little too sci-fi for my liking.
Too “girly”
Really God read and almost believable
Which means possibe
It was a light, fun read with plenty of action to keep me turning pages. Yes, the idea of the heroine being a bad-ass, 40-something accountant with muffin top that keeps going like Rambo was more than a bit far-fetched, but I liked her. The other characters also kept my interest. A good beach book.
This book was great fun. It has an unusual main character and I really got caught up in all the action. Hard to lay down. Don’t usually like “spy” type stories but this was amusing and great to read.
I enjoy spy stories, and this one is very relatable. It is also very entertaining and engaging, I wasn’t tempted to check the end to see if it was worth finishing.
Juvenile
Diane has written a funny action packed story which had me laughing one minute and scared for our lead the next. Just when I thought I had it figured out there was a twist I never saw coming. The characters were believable and seamed like people you would know. I’m looking forward to seeing what mayhem happens next to our kooky heroine.
I didn’t like this book.had difficulty getting into story.Very confusing .
This series is great. Reminds me a lot of novels by JD Robb. I love the heroine.
I read this book in two days – could not put it down…very suspenseful.
Very unrealistic.
Highly engaging. Loved it!
Very future capabilities. Mind portals.
I love that the main character is a kick ass woman in her mid forties. She’s a career woman, can take care of herself and this is revealed is several ways. She’s got a sense of humor and I enjoyed her relationships with the supporting characters. I love that there are hints of something more with regards to just how savvy she is at taking care of …
